D Underwood in the last week Terrible experience over and over with this office. Last year I started to have migraines. Dr Duarte wanted to schedule a MRI to rule out a stroke. Thank goodness it wasn’t a stroke but it was several weeks before the scheduled appointment actually arrived because I was waiting for authorization from my insurance company Blue Cross Blue Shield and that was explained to me by the office that they needed authorization first. Finally they called me and set up an appointment I went in and got an MRI done and went about my business. Approximately six months later I get a call from their business office saying that it wasn’t approved and that I’ll almost $ 2000 and I almost blew my stack at that point but I said let’s call the insurance company was find out why it was covered and upon calling my insurance company I found out that there was not enough of a diagnosis put down for the approval of this procedure so I called back to the business office and explained this to somebody there and they said they would get back with the doctors office and get the correct diagnosis and resubmit it now approximately eight months later I get a callback from this business office and a woman tells me over and over again it’s my responsibility to call the doctor and reminds him why he said this procedure up if I wanted to dispute it I could talk to a manager named Shannon at the doctors office. Why don’t we go to doctors for help what do we not get from doctors … help. Why is it my responsibility to figure out why the doctor ordered this one he’s the one that ordered it and his office told me that I would have to wait for approval and I waited a couple weeks for that approval to be received and then finally when I get a call saying it was approved and I completed the procedure… Only to get a call 6 months later saying it was not approved. I provided the only info I had as to why the Dr ordered this procedures and then again 4 – 5 months later this business office calls to tell me that it’s not covered and it is my responsibilty to get my dr to remember why he ordered it. FIND A DIFFERENTMEDICALOFFICE ! that’s a scam if I’ve ever seen one stop ordering procedures that are not needed and quit costing the American people unnecessary cost that none of us can afford with the fact that they could even with healthcare has gone up in cost I don’t get as much coverage as I used to and I’m paying more

Recommended to see Charlotte Sunday, NP. Was expecting an assembly line medical experience for my illness, as seems to be the standard operating procedure in some PCP offices that I have been to. She took her time, listened, showed genuine concern and compassion, and got me the best treatment. Her male assistant(can’t recall his name… big bald dude) was excellent as well. I overheard him making funny small talk with a nervous, little older lady, and putting her at ease. Waits were short. In and out quick on three occasions. To make an appt, call and get past the really long auto answer message, and it’s fast once you get to a person. Also, In-house lab is convenient. After 6 visits+ to this doc’s office, haven’t been let down yet. Good personal touch each time. I recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wright for many years and even when we moved to the Southwest side, I kept him as my PCP because he’s great. My children saw Dr. Peskin for many years and when the time came for my daughter to transition, she chose Dr. Wright. Charlotte Sunday, the nurse practitioner is also very nice and I’m happy to see her. I have also recommended friends to the facility. Basically I would give the doctors 5 stars. The front desk staff are always nice as well. The reason I only gave 3 stars overall is because of the phone personnel. I saw that another reviewer said they are curt and that is an understatement. I had to call yesterday to get results and the lady argued with me on the phone. It was such a frustrating experience that I don’t want to call back. I just hope the doctor calls me with my results.

My family has gone here for many many years. There are many doctors, a pediatrician, and a nurse at this location. They have a lab, in house, so they can do quick tests instead of referring you around town to another lab company. They have a separate office that deals with MRI scans, and X-Rays that isn’t far away(Grant & Wilmot area). This is really convenient. We have never been given any problems from the phone personnel or front desk staff. Never had issues with scheduling either, but they will call you the day before your appointment as a reminder. Any cancellation with 24 hour notice is acceptable but don’t call within that 24 hour time period, prior to your appointment or you will be charged a fee. The only concern I have is that I would not recommend you see the nurse at this location. Her demeanor was low, like burnout, when I spoke with her last. Perhaps she was overworked that day but she did display frustration with caring for another patient. Her seriousness was not in concern to my health but instead to the staff’ work load that day. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. Overall, the place is good and my family is happy with the treatment they receive from their doctor and the front desk staff at this medical office.

This doctors’ office yields mixed reviews from me. The doctor my husband and I both see is Dr. WRIGHT, so he’s the only one I’ll be speaking of. I’ll break down my justification of the 3 stars as follows: Dr. Wright — 4.5 stars I think Dr. Wright is a very good doctor. He has a good bedside manner, he has a dry, but comforting sense of humor, and most importantly, he’s thorough and knows what he’s doing. He listens to all of your concerns and details and evaluates what you say and considers it in his diagnosis. He explains his medical reasonings in a way that is understandable to the individual. He’s never been wrong for us yet. He also is willing to give medication samples to try before sending you to waste money at a pharmacy, which is nice for some medications. His office will also call your prescription into your pharmacy so that you don’t have to drag a piece of paper there and wait. Overall, I trust Dr. Wright, and will continue to see him whenever I need a general doctor. Office Atmosphere — 2 stars This office is basically a clinic. There are tons of doctors/PA’s/nurse practitioners/etc, in this office. Therefore, there are a lot of people in and out. It can get stuffy at times. The building is also sorta old, and the exam rooms show that. It is mostly clean, however. Except for our last visit, where there was a big, used bandaid on the floor and a dirty cotton ball elsewhere on the floor, and the front staff argued about who was to clean it. They couldn’t come to a consensus, so they left the medical waste on the floor. Kinda gross. Scheduling/Other phone inquiries — 3 stars Usually it’s not so hard to get someone on the phone to help you schedule or answer other questions. They can be a little curt at times, though. It’s also hard to get an appointment within a few days of calling at times, which stinks cause I don’t pre plan when I get a flu. All of that considered, and I would say this office is maybe a little higher than 3 stars, but not yet 4 stars. I would recommend Dr. Wright to anyone, though. He’s a good doctor.
