As I walk into Scooters I noticed the front counter is not hidden as it used to, not sure what I see until I pay attention and I get a «hi honey!» so I take a closer look and the place is changed! The menu is longer and it says organic on most items! I instantly say hello and asked– did you change something? A nice lady responds hi yes new owners! I must admit I felt very welcomed and happy to hear that. I don’t know what it is about the«hi honey!» that it made me feel and take note of everything. I ordered a grilled panini with an assortment of cheeses and herbs. can I just say yuuuum!!! my favorite hands down! 47 Scott has a delicious grilled cheese but there’s no competition here, the grilled cheese panini at Scooter’s had it’s own crown! Unique flavor, fresh and more than anything healthy! I now have a favorite lunch place to eat with no guilt!

What a lovely little place deep set in La Placita Village! I had the opportunity to hit these guys up a lot during Tucson Meet Yourself, water was cheaper, closer and delivered with a friendly smile! They have a delicious sounding menu, none of which I tried, and tantalizing pastries on the counter, those I did try, well one of them anyway, the banana muffin. I liked it! Not too large, not too sweet, just right! I noticed that they use the same blender for their frozen drinks that I have at home, that struck up a conversation that was pretty fun. I’m excited to get back there to try more!

Early, on a cold mornin’ it was nice to have a place to grab a cup of coffee and an egg sandwich with muenster cheese while I warmed up. Later, I came back for more and was not disappointed by a cup of hot chocolate. It’s worth coming here when you’re downtown and stuck for a place to grab a quick, simple bite. It’s really close to the Arizona Hotel. You could park in their garage for a fee.

I would go to Scooter’s every morning whenever I’m in Tucson for the Mariachi Conference to get a quick pastry and a latte and I tell you, that lady with the short butchy haircut makes one mean latte! Hours are a little bit odd, but hey it’s Tucson so life’s different there than it is for Cali people like me. Aside from that, the staff is really nice and make quality a priority when serving you.
