Serenity Salon and Spa

I had the misfortune of visiting this salon. As a new client, I was directed to Marie by the owner, Donna with whom I had a prior conversation re: service, pricing, and what’s included. I was told Marie charges $ 40 for a cut and style– ‘but nothing too fancy”… After enduring the most aggressive combing and turrets-​like haircut, I was charged an additional $ 15 for styling. Marie took me to the front desk, gave the owner a slip of paper indicating the charges, then skulked away never discussing the 25% additional charge for ‘styling’. The salon utilizes a system for paying that gives you 3 options for a tip-​but not the option to not tip. I would NOT recommend this salon nor will I return. I will also be sure to share my displeasure in my very close knit community. FYI: if you’re going ‘high-​tech’, go all the way. Handwriting receipts because you ‘run out of paper’ is laughable.
