Excellent chicken schwarma with a cool crisp Greek salad was just the ticket on a hot day.

Best food in Tucson ! A family orientated ran restaurant who’s food exudes with love. So happy to have eaten here.

Visiting Tucson for a family event. Ordered food to go online and picked it up. Several things to mention here: 1– taste? I am middle eastern, grew up with amazing food, on a scale of 10 it is 1 – 2 at the most. Weird flavor, terrible consistency to the meat and they totally ruined the structure of the plate. You cannot call a dish ribeye steak and you serve a chicken fried steak. 2– I am not sure if it is my bad luck or it was the case, my son and I got really sick to our stomachs. Was really awful. 3– portion size, miniature. Definitely not coming here again or recommending it ever.

The giro with fresh salad was delicious. The salad was the best I’ve had with big chunks of tomato. I’m coming back!

Wow. Just wow! We came in here today itching for some Mediterranean food. Boyfriend and I got one of each of the Greek lager beers they offer. Refreshing on a hot Arizona afternoon. The interior to this place is small and clearly small business owned. Our server was sweet and attentive. Oh, but the food… I ordered the chicken shwarma plate with rice, hummus, and pita bread. The rice is saffron rice, which gives it this yellow hue and buttery taste. Delicious. The chicken was seasoned with many spices and seems overwhelming by itself, but when put in pita bread with hummus… It’s to die for. All of the flavors and seasonings melt together to create the king of chicken shwarmas. Absolutely delightful and absolutely authentic! We will be back. Oh, and my boyfriend loved the gyro he ordered. Hehe.

I’m giving a solid three. I’ve never really had Greek food before, so I don’t know what I’m basing this on. The Greek chicken salad was amazing. It tasted healthy, I hope it was. Our server was too busy to ask if it was actually healthy, even though I wanted to. The bill was like $ 25 for two people at lunch. I don’t know that it was worth the price for the value. I need something to compare this to!!! I’ll probably go back as the person I’m seeing works in the vicinity and it’s convenient to go if we ever have a lunch together, which isn’t often. You got that right guys! It’s official. Disregard all of my other Unilocal about my ex husband because we are DIVORCED. WOOT!!! I’m excited!

Simply amazing. Disappointed with myself for not trying sooner. Wonderful aroma when walking in and the service is friendly and fast. Have only been here twice and I will now make it one of my regular places.

Make sure to come before you’re hungry because you’ll be waiting for this dining establishment. Enter and surround yourself with Middle East décor and various wall murals. While you’re waiting for your food in the cozy atmosphere cast your eyes on the belly dances performing in the restaurant– women you’ll be envious of her moves and hair and men you’ll be mesmerize and slapped by your wives. Make sure to have your child tip her so you’re not slapped again! The food smelt amazing and looked amazing, but alas my lamb was slightly over cooked and veiny. The sadness was overcome by the baklava– but lamb was the true nature of this visit. This is why I couldn’t give it 5 stars, but this place is a go to for middle eastern cuisine.

Like going to someones home for a delicious middle eastern meal. Oozie rice dish is superb. Anything«lamb» is always a winner. Belly dancing on Friday night! Great service. Pleasant atmosphere(and plenty of parking). Usually leave with a «to go» box as portions are generous.

We didn’t expect much from a small middle Eastern place in a strip mall in Arizona, but we were wrong. Everything here was delicious, prices were reasonable, and the portions were huge. The service was attentive and polite and quick(and did I mention the portions were huge)? The belly-dancing lady with the enormous sword was a nice perk.(=

Great place to try different types of food with lots of flavor from different part of the Mediterranean. Service fell a little short and the food took quite a long time. I look forward to going back on a less busy night and giving it another shot.

Chicken oozie all the way! Decent service and tasty food. A bit pricey though. Yummy pita and leban sauce.

My fiancé and I love this restaurant. It’s clearly family owned and operated. We always have excellent, friendly service. The food is just amazing! I usually get lamb shawarma, but I have tried other dishes and the do not disappoint. If you like middle eastern or Mediterranean food, give this charming, local place a try.

The aromas that greet you as you walk in let you know you are in for an authentic experience. Don’t let the name fool you, there is SO much more to this place than Shish Kebabs, which I always thought of as that meat-and-veg-sicle you grill up when you’re trying to be healthy and what you really want is a burger. The gluttonous side of us(my buddy and me) ordered the falafel to start with. Their version of falafel is 4 crispy falafel balls, served with two pitas, onions, tomatoes and tzatziki. The balance of it all together really works. If you’re looking to go meatless, you could make a meal out of just that. However — meatless is hardly in my vocabulary — so this is followed by the lamb shawarma lunch special(the sign outside said $ 9.95 but I was charged 10.95 — presumably for the lamb upgrade), served with some of the yellowest rice I’ve ever seen and more tzatziki. I basically ditched the pita it came with and ate the lamb and rice. The lamb was well seasoned, tender and not gamey. By buddy seemed to enjoy his beef shawarma — same lunch special. The place is cozy and the bar actually looked inviting. They have a really large menu with lots of tempting, hard to pronounce, items. It seems to be a family run place… and I just love those kind of places. I’ll have to keep it in mind when I am in the mood for something different, but I don’t think it’s likely to be in my regular rotation.

ANDTHEYAREBACKPEOPLE! I am so excited to say that! I went for lunch and the owner and what I assume is his wife was there with smiles. Greeted me, thanked me, appreciated me as a customer. For some reason it was like the place was cleaner and just wonderful! I love Shishkebab! Oh and the food was great as always. Their lunch special is wonderful and actually so much food it was hard to eat it! #smittenkitten

This was my second time visiting Shish Kebab House, and I will definitely be going back to try more dishes. The service was pretty good both times. I’ve had better, I’ve had MUCH worse. I’d say 7⁄10. The décor is a bit strange… with some interesting murals. :P But the food doesn’t suffer because of it! Good flavors, and a lot of food for the price!
