Very nice place to live. Pretty close to campus, really quiet. Landscaping is done regularly and it shows. The pool is almost always clean. Sierra Pointe is also very small which I prefer, easy access to every apartment from the parking lot. Only downside is that covered parking is absolutely necessary, as there are rarely any other spaces free.

After 3 years of living here, I can say that overall Sierra Pointe is a great place to live. The minuses are few and we’ve learned to live with them. If you want to hang things on the walls, invest in a hammer drill and a box of those those plastic expanding things you tap into the wall and screw into(the walls are concrete). Also, bring a cell signal booster(those stinking concrete walls again) as a signal is sometimes hard to come by along interior walls. Finally, the heat and AC are on a boiler system and get switched twice yearly. This means that maintenance has to make the best guess as to when to switch from heat to AC in the spring and the opposite in the Fall(sometimes they’re spot-on, sometimes not so much). The pluses include how responsive maintenance is — most requests are taken care of the same day(even minor issue). Basic cable, AC, Heat and internet are included in rent. We only pay small electric and part of the cable(If you want a better package). Covered parking is available for a small monthly charge and pets are allowed for only a $ 15 monthly pet charge. Campus is easily close enough to bike every day, but might be a bit far for walking(about 2 miles to the Student Union).
