Horrible experience. Tried to eat lunch here with a good friend. The server told us that they had run out of avocado. We were ok with that. She came back to take our order. We both wanted to order two different salads. The server told us that they were out if lettuce. Really???

Very average food and average drinks. They should name themselves something more towards automotive and American because they don’t inspire the Mexican feeling, but more of cars and sports. Their prices are about $ 2 – 3 too high so we won’t go there again.

Good food. An interesting restaurant. Service was good as well as the food. I would go there again. The one we went to was near REI.

Ridiculously long wait… Margaritas were WEAK. The food wasn’t even good. I won’t be going back to this place

On a Saturday night it was pretty slow. The food arrived and the rice was horrible. Not fully cooked and the shrimp tacos were hidden by a mound of cilantro. I sadly was very disappointed with the food. The food was promptly served however was not hot. I just hope things turn around for them because I use to love their food.

What a horrible experience. The food was decent and our waitress was nice; however, the table behind us along with their waitress(her friend, think her name was Nina) along with all the knats flying into our food ruined our whole night. Nina had no problem at exchanging extremely vulgar language. Every other word was a curse word. We had our 4 year old daughter with us and could not have regretted eating there any more. It did not surprise me in the least that the place had but a few tables during dinner time(6:30). I would not recommend this place unless you are a snot nosed, filthy mouth, skater looking to score free drinks from your waitress friend. I should have listened to my instincts when I noticed the word«garage» in the name. What a dump!

Went here for lunch. We got our water pretty quick. 2 guys came in after us and set down next to us. The sever came over to us, pen in hand ready to take our order then says«I’ll be right back, ok?» She proceeds to take the guys order next to us and went past our table at least 3 times. After about 10 minutes she came over to take our order. Didn’t ask us if we wanted anything else but water and seemed in a hurry. The food came out fast but again when we were ready to pay she ignored us at lest 3 times walked nag right past us. I don’t think I’ll b back. The lunch size nachos are ridiculously small.

Water has more flavor. They’re too busy trying to be different that nothing they make is any good. If you want decent Mexican food go anywhere but here. Heck Taco Bell has better food unfortunately

We have not been here for over a year and we were concerned with some of the low ratings. We came anyway and really enjoyed our tacos. We also enjoyed our guacamole. The best part of our meal was the outstanding service. The biggest negative are the prices. It was very expensive to get two tacos compared to other Mexican restaurants in Tucson that have even better tacos.

Neat place, cool atmosphere. The garage theme is complete with shop towels for napkins. The good was good. I got the old west burger. It was delicious and HUGE except the«prickly pear BBQ» sauce was fire sauce. My mouth was burning and tingling from one taste of the sauce. How could you even tell it has prickly pear in it when you can’t feel your tongue?! I would go back but certainly ask for sauces on the side just in case they’re spicy. Prices are okay, a little high. Good service.

I used to like this place, and, when both this and Tucson Mall location opened, it was THE place to be. I came here with friends on a Friday evening recently and must say the place has gone downhill. For a Friday night at prime dinner hours, it wasn’t very busy, but there was a large group of people on the patio. They have karaōke on Fridays now. Might be fun depending on the atmosphere you’re looking for, but if you don’t like the dining ambiance of a terrible rendition of Def Leppard’s «Pour Some Sugar on Me,» then I’d suggest going elsewhere. The hostess warned us they were severely understaffed; apparently some servers had called in. Our server was pleasant enough but couldn’t keep up. After we ordered drinks, it was 15+ minutes before we actually got them. I always get the Sir-chelada, because I love micheladas, but it wasn’t good this time, way, way too salty. A lot of time went by in between our server’s visits to the table. We were there almost a full hour before we were able to order food. Surprisingly, our food came out quickly. I guess the kitchen was on their game that night. I ordered nachos with carnitas. They tasted okay, but I wasn’t feeling the best after eating them! Ick. A friend said the chicken on her salad tasted weird. No one seemed overly enthused about the taste of the food. My drink and half order of nachos was close to $ 20 and frankly not worth it. It was a disappointing experience. I do love El Charro, but I think they should overhaul this restaurant, get a new concept, or just close it. I wouldn’t come back.

I did not know that Sir Veza’s was related to El Charo until our party got moved to Sir Vezas. It is a corner location on the northwest side of Swan and Speedway in front of the strip mall. Good full bar with decent appetizers, basically a good place to hang out mainly to drink. The staff were EXCELLENT, we had a DJ and Karaōke with our group and they provided us the front patio to hold our party. The happy hour offerings and pricing was pretty good, I would have hoped for less cost, but due to being moved from the other location they gave us happy hour all night. Interior is a little rough and bar focused with lots of TV’s for sports watching. A little dingy and the men’s bathroom really needed more attention or a remodel. Overall our service was great, the bar and grill met our needs, but the building cleanliness could use work or remodeling.

911: BARRESCUE I really wanted to like this place because I like El Charro, but this food honestly sucks. The service is great. Our waitress was sweet & attentive. Bland City! Rubber tasting beef. Yuck!!!

When I still lived here I never went to a Sir Veza’s. I met a friend for lunch and sat outside at the bar, as it was a gorgeous day. That’s Tucson in December for you. The service was friendly and mostly attentive. I ordered the Sirnoran Hot Dog, their BIG take on a Sonoran. Oh how I’ve missed Sonoran hot dogs. For those poor souls that have never had a Sonoran hot dog, here’s what it is. It’s a bacon wrapped hot dog topped with beans, a salsa verde, mustard, mayo and a roasted chile. The prices are good and they have an extensive menu featuring burgers, hot dogs, tacos, burritos and more.

My rating is based solely off of their $ 3 margs during happy hour. They have tons of different flavors. They have television sets outside so that you can catch the game. They have happy hour all day Sunday. My boyfriend and I come here as we do our laundry across the street.

If I could give this place Zero stars, I would. 1st visit: I’ve been here twice now & the first time I went with my boyfriend for dinner and we both weren’t in love with what we ordered. I ordered the«sirnoran dog» which is a large ½ pound Sonoran dog with onion strings. The hot dog was huge but it was not that tasty, the first few bites that I had were good but then it was just all soggy pinto beans on top of my hot dog and was lacking flavor. The onion strings were flavor-less as well. I think I ate one of them and was done. My boyfriend got the 2 taco plate and he said the chicken one he had was good but the shrimp and bacon one he had tasted horrible and he couldn’t eat the rest of it. We both had upset stomachs later into the night from the food and felt ill. 2nd visit: this sealed the deal for me, I will never ever go to this place again. My boyfriend and I met some friends here for happy hour on a Sunday. They have all day happy hour, we weren’t pleased with our first experience but thought maybe we just ordered the wrong things, so thought we would try it again. I ordered a mango margarita and the tamale corn cakes. The margarita was good but a little too sugary for me, the corn cakes were extremely bland and flavorless and the salsa paired with it was too. It would have been tastier with maybe a sweeter salsa but these things were super taste-less. My friend ordered the nitro nachos which I nibbled on and they weren’t too bad but I feel like you really can’t screw up nachos. In addition to the yet again tasteless food, I experienced probably the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaraunt. We weren’t an obnoxious group and there were 5 of us at the table, Our waitress was flat out rude to us countless times. I wanted another drink and sat at the table for awhile with an empty drink. The place was not busy at all-plenty of empty tables around us. I finally saw the waitress coming towards our table and she looked at me and I thought«oh yay! She’s coming my way!» But as soon as she locked eyes with me she stopped dead in her tracks and turned around, blatantly ignoring me and the table! My boyfriend and his two friends had ordered a beer tower, they wanted another one and the waitress said«you need to finish the one you have first» the tower was completely empty and we said they did finish it… She got up very close to the tower and peeked in and said«you still have some left, you need to finish it.» I’M SORRYBUTWHAT??? WHODOESTHIS?! I felt like she was treating them like 5 year olds! So they drained the few drops left in the tower and when she came back she said«did you finish it?» They said«yes. It is empty.» She then proceede to make them pull the spout to make sure it was completely empty. What an absolute joke, never have I ever experienced this in a bar. After that she avoided our table for the rest of the night. If anyone needed something we had to go to the bar ourselves, mind you it was not late at this point either… maybe 9pm? We had to each personally hunt her down in the restaraunt to get our checks. I tipped her well because she was right there hovering over me as I signed my check since I had to hunt her down to get my check, but my gosh she did not deserve a tip at all. She was absolutely horrible and treated us so poorly. We were all disgusted with how we were treated and I will never ever go to this place again. AVOIDITATALLCOSTS– NOTWORTHIT! To top off my night, I ended up having food poisoning and had to relieve myself later in the night.

«Meh. I’ve experienced better,» quoth the Unilocal star rating flavor text. How right you are. We came here because it was about 50 feet from where we decided to have tacos and I’d never been. A delayed flight meant we could take some time to sit and enjoy our tacos and I think perhaps we may have done a better service to my friend by sending her off to the airport for one of the plastic caged sandwiches. For the price, I expect the descriptions of meals to be a little more accurate and the offerings to be either relatively generous or delicious. Not expecting roses on the tables and feats of culinary artistry here, but some green onion slivers, a single slice of avocado, and dried, doughy fried shrimp that taste and look like vat orange chicken and aside from a vaguely«C» shape have little to identify them as shrimp on two(why do I need two there isn’t that much filling) corn tortillas. There are worse tacos out there, I’m sure. But it’s Tucson. Spit and you’ll hit better. I subbed out my beans so you’ll have to judge that for yourselves. The coleslaw was okay. The rice was mushy but not bad. Iced tea was Nestea. That distinct metallic mix taste? That. Service was slow and the place was not jumping. No horror stories here, but don’t you look for an establishment where reviews provide praise rather than an absence of indignities?

I’ve heard good things about the bar scene here… came with a friend for a late lunch to check it out. The server was friendly. Not super knowledgeable, but decent. I had the cerveza battered fish tacos($ 9.25) and my friend had the carne asada steak burrito($ 10.95). The fish came with two tacos and side of rice and beans– for me, the was plenty and I only ended up eating half. In my opinion, while the fish was good, there was not enough in the taco and I felt like I was eating mostly tortilla and filler. I also thought it needed a bit of pep– more acidity or something. I’ve had much better fish tacos at Rubio’s. The burrito looked alright– it pretty much comes ala carte. it did have a tiny amount of salad/pico de gallo on the side. If you want cheese on your burrito, which i assume most people would, they add $ 1.95. If you want sour cream– $ 2.50. The sour cream came in a tiny. tiny side dish and there was maybe 2 tablespoons of it. Totally ludicrous. You do get chips and salsa with your meal, which is nice. We were there for maybe 4 hours catching up and the server never refilled the bowl. Oh well. Drinks seems to be the best thing here. I got a pint of Shock Top for $ 2.00. My friend ordered a $ 9 piña colada which she claimed was good. Better have been for $ 9.00. We came in about an hour before happy hour started, and I realized when we were walking out that we had been there for about 2 hours during happy hour by the time we left and the server did not once ask if we would like another beer/cocktail. Odd. I think I would return and sit at the bar to chat over a drink, but I will not be ordering a meal here again. 2 stars for charging $ 2.50 for a tiny amount of sour cream.
