Soft Surroundings

Some good and not so good info to report. The clothes are for a mature tall woman. Nothing for those limited in stature like myself. A mix of Cold Water Creek (which I never liked) and a make up store. I was shopping here mostly because I was looking for a lipstick color which was discontinued by Kohl’s. It is the only lipstick I really like. I have been searching high and low to find a close match. You ladies understand this dilemma. I also can only look in my own little mirror to see if the shade suits me. I drove this poor young lady Amanda who really must have the patience of a saint to a point where she probably could use a stiff drink after dealing with me. It was like a comedy scene. With OSHA regulations you can’t and don’t want to just put on lipstick. So we were playing a juggling act with tissues, alcohol, more tissues. You get it. I ended up buying a fairly decent color but it still isn’t quite what I want. The store is a strange mixture of bedding, clothes, and skin products. Maybe it works. They should think about some petite clothing as well.

Be Prepared! When you enter this store, you’ll be knocked over by the smells. They’re pumping perfume through the ventilation system. In addition there’s a display of room scents right at the entrance with them all open and competing with each other. The result is that the whole store has a cloying smell. La Encatada is a high fashion center. This store is low fashion. Two other stores like this have failed here. There’s no reason to expect this one to succeed.
