I called here today because i was looking for a new doctor… when they answered the phone i was quickly asked if i would hold. Click. 5 min 46 seconds later someone comes on the line and says«sorry for the hold someone will be with you shortly». Then immediately put on hold again. Bu now its been 9 min 27 seconds and someone comes on the line only to be disconnected. I was a little frustrated and called back and immediately asked if I would hold. I replied«No». I was on hold for 9 min 27 seconds and was disconnected. Instead of any apologies she asked me my date of birth. I was never asked«how may I help you? «. I was quite taken back on the unprofessionalism of the office. My only question I had was, «Are you taking new patients? «. Her reply was no. And that was it. There wasn’t any mention of it on your website and i wasted all that time. There was no «no, I’m sorry we aren’t. This is my first time doing a Unilocal review just disappointed that it’s not a positive one as I used reviews to pick this office.

We were recommended Dr Byrd by friends here, being new to the Desert Southwest and knowing no one else we went. What an amazing Doctor. We feel so fortunate to have been accepted as new patients by him. Such an incredible bedside manor, sense of humor and person in general. His medical knowledge and wanting to get to the root of a medical situation is outstanding. Feel so comfortable and relaxed when in the office visits.

My grandfather was a physician in Missouri, much loved by his patients for three generations. Dr. Byrd is that kind of doctor, today, in Tucson. Finest care in the West. He got me to the right specialists for a weird diagnosis and hugely improved my health. He is avuncular, calm, drily funny, and never ever in too much of a hurry for you.

I was in medicine for many years and knew all the doctors in my local area. It was easy to choose the ones I wanted to see because I knew their reputations inside and out. Moving to a new city meant seeing doctors and practices I had no idea about. Luckily, I made a good friend who is in medicine here in Tucson. When I needed a Primary Care Physician she suggested Dr. Abraham Byrd at Sonora Family Practice. I’m so happy that she did. Dr. Byrd is wonderfully thorough in his care. He takes a great amount of time getting to know his patient and discussing concerns and needs. In addition, he is quite comfortable coordinating care with specialists. This is extremely important for those of us who must be managed for transplant related issues. In addition, Dr. Byrd is cut from the cloth of the traditional«family doctor» he knows his patients and allows them to get to know him. I could not be more thrilled to find such a caring, professional and competent PCP in the area.
