Sos Exterminating

Don’t use this place. I should have known better than to call them but I did anyway. Several years ago I used them for pest control. The first young man that came out was awesome. After some neighbors had left their house, their cockroaches decided to look for a free meal at my house. This guy went WAY above and beyond what he needed to do. Then he was gone! As the new techs came, they got weirder and creepier with each one. The agreement I had with SOS was that they were to treat the outside of my house monthly. I told them that the dogs would be inside when they came so there would be no problems getting in the back yard. One day my neighbor asked what the tech was suppose to do. I told him that they were to treat the entire perimeter of the house, front and back yard as well as the inside of the block wall. He told me that the tech sprayed the front of the house, in front of the garage and stopped on both sides of the house where the block wall was. When I looked at the bills, the amount of chemical used was the same, how could that be? I can’t remember what the outcome was. Now flash forward to just a few days ago (end of October 2014). I called because I found that I have the beginning of a termite issue. I made the appointment for one of my days off. The same day the inspector was to show I get a call. The lady explained that the inspector overbooked himself. Huh? She made the appointment, not the inspector, doesn’t that mean that she «overbooked» him. I told her that I made that appointment because I was off of work. She said she would see what she could do. She called back and said that another inspector would be out, just a later time which was fine. When the guy came out I said. «Hey how ya doing?» he replied with, «I’m tired and crabby.» I followed this guy around the house and listened to him time and time again say things like, «How could you let it get this bad», «Aren’t you paying attention to what’s going on around your house», «I bet you $ 10 that I find them inside and then you have a real problem.» Talk about kicking someone when they are down. We walked the inside of the house and he found nothing. We sat down and he did a few calculations and came up with a price of $ 1360.00. I felt sick to my stomach. I asked if they did financing and he replied that they did but I shouldn’t do that because it was at 18% interest. Then he said several things that just blew my mind. He said I could put it on a credit card to which I said I don’t have any. This is where I was shocked. He asked me to borrow money from my parents, borrow the money from a friend, use a friend’s credit card and pay them and on and on! REALLY?! I couldn’t believe it. With that I stood up and said I would call them. When he left he never said bye, shook my hand or anything. He knew he wasn’t going to get the sale so he lost interest. What a joke. I will NEVER call them for anything, anytime, anywhere. BTW, I’m still waiting for that $ 10!

This place is a big rip OFF! William came to my house in the and gave me an estimate on termites and pest control. After I decided that I would do business with this company I found out the the company was a big rip off. The service guy came out to treat termites and when I asked him if he was going to spot treat and drill holes like William said needed was to be done he told me no, that he did not need to drill any holes. The company send out someone to spray for pest. After all this I called the company made payment for $ 199 for termites and $ 85 for pest control. The lady over the phone was very rude after I let her know that William said that I needed holes to be drilled in the back and front areas of my house and that the service came out did the treatment but did not drill any holes. I wanted to know if there should be any form of price adjustment but the lady was just being rude about me asking. I paid $ 85 quarterly for pest control and was told by William that they would come out once per month only to find out that they only come out once, during that time! I asked was to get in touch with William because he came out to my house and sold me a bunch of lies. I talked to William over the phone and he told me that he said when the service person gets there then they would decide if holes needed was to be grilled and about the pest control he said he told me that it was once every 3 months. On the papers that i signed there is nothing in bold writing stating just what William says. The paper just shows what kind of treatments and the perimeter of the house and how much was paid etc. This company is sneaky and they all take advantage of customers. I will be going to the BBB. William is such a liar and a thief, how comes i miss intrepid what he told me about the termites and the pest control both? I am highly educated and know exactly what I was told.
