I’ve been using Paula’s elixirs for about two years now and make a few trips to her side of town each year to stock up. Now my friends and family use her products, and I end up getting lots of gifts from her too. More skin care line is fantastic, and my ultra-sensitive, eczema-prone skin absolutely LOVES it! But that’s not all. Paula is a genuine artist(in real life and with her craft), and she makes incredibly beautiful candles that really deserve their own rating. She is like an alchemist when it comes to scents, and because her things are all-natural, I haven’t had a single allergic symptom with any of her candles, scents, soaps, or other products. She can also match discontinued scents(like Jo Malone’s Khodo Wood Collection, which is a favorite of mine that was a limited edition fragrance), and then she can put that scent into anything you might want. Also, Paula has invented a technique to get the smell of desert rain(based on creosote) into candles and oils, so I bought a bunch for Christmas last year. These were an enormous hit, and everyone just raved about them, so I stocked up again this summer, only to discover that she’s created another exclusive fragrance from native palm fruit. You have to smell it to believe it. Paula’s also just a downright good person. She’s a retired TUSD teacher and is just following her passion. Her Web site is easy to use, and she has free shipping offers all the time, but I have really enjoyed getting to know her. Also, she can do really great consultations in person too, which is an added bonus for going in person(and she doesn’t charge for the consultations either). She even prescribed a regimen for my teenage son, who has fairly severe acne and ingrown hairs, and he loves it. I’m still amazed that I found a place that is local, organic, environmentally friendly, cruelty free, and everything else you might want, and yet also works even better than the stuff I used to pay a fortune for elsewhere.

My friend Laura D took me to Paula’s in-home studio for my birthday. This isn’t your ordinary over priced Body Shop products sold to you by some chick who doesn’t know the definition of organic. If you are looking for quality skin care products that are all natural, then look no more. Paula is SMART! She is a former professor and has studied the art of natural skin care.(The woman harvests her own prickly pears for her products) I do think I learned more in a morning at her house about skin care than I have ever learned and I left her home after several hours of sampling her products. Not only does she have your regular lotions and body balms, but baby care products, sunscreens, tinted lotions for the face, headache remedies, and home cleaning products. If you don’t have time to drive up to the foothills to visit Paula, then you can order her products here

This stuff is awesome. I first ran across Sweet Ps local organic skincare line when I had a facial done about 8 months ago and the esthetician raved about the products… it definitely stuck with me a few months later when I saw paulas booth at the Shannons Slumber Party. I bought some sugar scrub, lip tint, oil mist and sunscreen. I’ve been hooked ever since. This last order I did through Paula was using a Groupon, and she was happy to let me come pick up my products at her studio. Not only did I get to smell all kinds of yummy scents, but I actually learned tons as well… do you know how many chemicals you are putting on your skin? The coolest points to take away: — its local and organic… what’s not to love? — you can get together a group of people for a studio tour and make customized fragrances –personalized ‘scents’ can be made for a wedding, etc… how cool is that? — love love love the tinted lip balm and the mica sunscreen Will definitely be paying Paula a visit when my sister comes back into town.
