This place is ok but FROST is better, they hook it up. The person working here barely gave my daughter any in her gelato that she ordered. She had 3 flavors so you know 3 scoops and they are like so small, like she just grabbed a teaspoon not even that and put it on didn’t even scoop anything. I’d rather go to FROST, they are the best in town and better customer service. THISPLACEDIDN’T HAVEGOODCUSTOMERSERVICEWHENWEWENT. SAVEYOURTIMEANDMONEYANDGOTOFROST =) YOUWILLNOTBEDISAPPOINTED.

If you are anywhere near Broadway and Craycroft you must stop in here! Super friendly staff that can always describe the gelato flavors to you, plus new flavors every time I am here. I have never had something I didn’t love. Bad news: it is only a block from my office so I find myself here more often that I should be.

We love this gellato shop. They have great flavors and something new each time we go. My favorite is the chocolate orange liquor. Yum! The shop is clean and the staff always friendly.

This place is my not-so-secret addiction. I recommend it to my friends. I recommend it to my students. I recommend it to random strangers! Tazzina always has delicious new flavors to try and they are always spot on! The people working there are always sweet and personable, plus they give great recommendations! It’s best to go on Tuesday for double-punch day(get the punch card!), that way you can wrack up those punches and get a delicious gelato for free! Please note: they are also super wonderful and give a military discount!

Nice little gelato place. A favorite when I’m looking for a treat in hot weather. Friendly service and a variety of changing flavors that they always let you taste before buying. A shade on the pricey side, but that’s true for all gelato in Tucson. You’ll see more middle-aged customers than children here. During my last visit, a friend of mine asked why they don’t recycle the plastic containers used to serve gelato in-house and was told that they were made out of corn-based PLA that biodegrades in a year in a landfill(some might dispute that). However, closer examination of the containers showed that they were marked with a 05 recycling code which is polypropylene, not the 07 which would be expected for PLA. Rather disappointing…

Wonderful flavors. Love that you can choose more than one in a cup. Great service.

What a delicious place! The gelato is really good, the interior is nice, and the price was fair. You can sample their flavors before choosing one. You can also have more than one flavor at a time if you’d like. The employee working wasn’t super friendly, but she wasn’t rude either. Once I ordered, she was super fast and efficient and I was enjoying my delicious gelato in no time :-) It took me a little while to find this tiny place in the big plaza that it’s located in, but now that I know where it is I’ll be back.

Unique flavor combinations, and delicious gelato. Super friendly staff. I recommend the chai-ai-ai-ai, gelato with chai-tea spices. Definitely a repeat location.

Tazzina Di Gelato has excellent icecream(same quality as Allegro II Gelato Naturale). The only reason I give them four stars instead of five is that Frost Gelato is definitely a class above icecream. Tazzina’s death by chocolate is unbelievably good, though. I have never tasted anything near this chocolaty outside the best French and Italian dark chocolate. The pistachio gelato was also good, but all three gelato shops have good pistachio. Avoid the sorbets here, which are crude crushed ice.

Gelato is proof that Italians reign supreme at creating masterpieces. And with two thirds less butterfat than ice cream it is pure genius. Their webpage even boasts that their gelato and sorbetto contains high amounts of protein and vitamins. So, let me introduce you to Tucson’s new superfood craze. As soon as someone posted a pic of the avocado basil, I set my sights on Tazzina Di Gelato, as I adore creative flavors. The avocado basil did not disappoint, nor did the wasted youth(a chocolate, caramel, stout beer). Everything is made in house with all natural ingredients. They post their rotating menu on their webpage if you need to plan out your indulgence.

Absolutely wonderful place. We just happened to be in the area and were looking for something warm to drink and to try something new. We were a little unsure what to expect since we have been die hard Frost fans for a long time but needless to say, we were blown away!!! Their favors are very fresh and new and their coffee is amazing. As an added bonus, THEYOFFERALMONDMILK!!! Wonderful service and wonderful favors! Highly recommended to other gelato and coffee lovers! Enjoy!

The best gelato in tucson. And I mean the very best. The variety of the flavors, the texture, the sweetness. This is gelato like youve never had in the us. Truly, truly exceptional. I suggest the Grand Marnier chocolate and the Avocado Basil. Strawberry Beet is also fantastic, when its available. Always something new to try when I go there.

My in-laws LOVE their gelato, but I wasn’t as impressed. Very interesting flavors, but nothing wowed me. Go for the fun choices. Husband ranked this 2nd choice after Allegro and liked it better than Frost.

This place is very nice. My husband and I went in for a after dinner treat and was pleasantly surprised! The shop was nice and clean. They had an array of different flavors and I got a half caramel sea salt and pistachio mix. It was heaven. However, the gelato was very heavy and I could t even finish it all! The prices were kind of expensive, but I think that’s how it is at a lot if gelato shops. I suggest you give them a try!

I found a great deal for this little gelato shop on LivingSocial. This location is right across my work, though I hadn’t noticed this place before since it’s tucked away in the shopping plaza. The shop itself is very clean, well-organized, and welcoming. The young girl behind the counter was super friendly and informed us that we could sample anything we wanted. I tried a flavor called Cookie Monster and it was very tasty. Overall, the experience was definitely a good one — especially since I was able to get my gelato packed to go! This is definitely one of the nicest gelato shops in the area and I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I usually head over to Debbie’s DQ on 22nd for my ice cream fix but during this holiday, I have a dear friend visiting from Alaska and he loves gelato. So gelato hunting we have gone. Frost. Been there. Done that. And it’s OK. But Tazzina? In his words, «This is the best gelato in Tucson.» I asked him why he liked this place and he felt the gelato was much more flavorful, albeit the selection of flavors may not be as great as Frost’s. The prices were fair and the staff was very friendly and it was a nice place to sit and eat and enjoy. So, this is the place we will go for our gelato fix from this day forth! Happy New Year everyone! Stay safe and happy.

Before setting us loose in Florence for the afternoon, our guide cautioned those of us planning to take a gelato break(probably all of us, don’t cha think?) to look for the word«artisanale» on our shop of choice. If it’s not there, we’re sacrificing the real deal for stuff concocted from a mix. Yep. Sadly, modern techniques, artificial flavors and colors sometimes replace traditional — even in Italy. Too bad the U.S. doesn’t distinguish these things as officially. At this point, I can hear you begging me: «Why not get yourself over to Allegro?» I hear you. It’s because I am committed to keeping my distance from this delicious, god-given nectar. The more divine the«tazzina»(little cup) of gelato, well, the closer I get to a plus-size. Believe me, NObody wants that. But on this particular 100+ degree afternoon — «hot as Hades» comes to mind — I succumbed to the promise of something cold and sweet, artisanale or not. Indeed, my expectations were low. The place reads like chain. Not my thing. I later learned it was founded by the«Miller» family. Hmmm… not promising. But, damn! The stuff tasted good. My husband ordered the traditional Italian Stracciatella and I went for the caramel with sea salt. Once I got to perusing the website, I find the Millers really have done the work — attending many intensive courses in Italy.(Tough as that must have been… Geez. Poor people.) Bottom line: I remember more«body» in the real Italian gelato eaten steps from the Ponte Vecchio and next door to the Pantheon in Rome. But, for a sweet(and cool!) treat? Mangia!(Italian for«dig in»!) .
