Giving a 3 for now as it’s still a turning point(would do 3.5 if I could) but will gladly update as we rebuild the experience. Sounds like they’ve had some changes there, and are realizing that impressions can have a lasting impact. We were previously a very loyal customer and made a lot of recommendations for TempCon, both for new installations as well as service. Many many years of good experience. Had a less than positive experience(pretty silly really) several years back that we couldn’t resolve with the owner. More recently, they reached out to us to try to re-build the experience(appreciated the pro-active effort). Had a very knowledgable, experienced, and sincere technician come out(Danny). He found several issues as well as offered suggestions and options — didn’t at all feel like he was trying to take advantage of or pressure us. He took the time to explain and answered questions/showed the issues. He worked very hard, both on the units as well as on the relationship, to re-build trust. Long story short, he got us up and running again(some of the issues we weren’t even aware of yet — nice to know before we move into summer) and created a very positive experience! Not sure if he’s representative of the rest of the culture there(if so, great — if not, treat him well and take a lesson from him!). For Danny, would give a rating of 5. For the effort that was made by him and the company, a 4. Based on the experience with Danny, think I would again recommend TempCon(as long as Danny, or someone like him, was taking care of you). A sincere ‘thank you’ for taking the time and making the effort, and looking forward to supporting their business as they support their customers. Unfortunately, forgot the name of the service manager that originally reached out to us this time around, but also want to give him props too(please feel free to give us a call for additional feedback). I’ve worked in the service industry in various aspects for many years, and appreciate the direction that we seem to be moving.

We interviewed and received estimates from at least a dozen HVAC companies in Tucson. Hands down Temperature Control, Inc. had the most knowledgeable representative and offered the best prices. The installation team was extremely professional and skilled. The entire experience went beyond our expectations. We were and still are very pleased. Many kudos to the Temperature Control, Inc. team. We can easily recommend them to anyone. We are looking forward to a long happy relationship. :-)

Was formerly one of the best HVAC concerns in Tucson, but is now under new ownership. They installed an HVAC system in 2011 at a rental home in Tucson which I manage. When I called them to service, their technician told me that the coils(routinely serviced) were dirty requiring a deep cleaning. The tech tried to sell me on an expensive service contract. However, I could tell he was lying due to the tone of his voice and requested another vendor go and offer a quote. That vendor(who had done work for me elsewhere and I knew to be reliable — Rick with Mojo Mechanical — highly recommended) told me the coils were perfectly clean and did not require servicing. When I refused the service contract, Temp Con spent the next year trying to collect on the ‘debt’ of their service call. They even placed me with a collections agency. I finally had to call and document the findings of MoJo Mechanical which caused them to drop the collection attempt. Sad to see the shady practices of this once respectable HVAC contractor. I hope the new owner can right the ship and adopt an honest service policy rather than trying to prey on its customers.

Initially I did not have a good experience with this company and as a result I used a different company. I called their General Manager, Tony Bohard, to discuss my experience. He was wonderful– he listened well, agreed with some of what I said and disagreed where appropriate. It has been my belief that you never really know how good a company is until you see how they handle a problem. Tony was first rate in every way. As a result, he will get a call from me when I have future needs.

A couple years ago we installed a high efficiency AC system with temperature control. I went through the time and hassle of collecting 7 quotes before finally going with temperature control. That meant sitting through hours of high pressure salesmen trying to sell me every bell and whistle they could think of. My meeting with Vance from temperature control was so refreshing! He was truly more interested in what I wanted out of my system and how he could stay inside our budget. We purchased a highly efficient system for thousands less than the closest competitor. The installers were gracious and professional and did a fantastic job and the system has worked flawlessly ever since. I would highly recommend them if you plan on purchasing a new system.

When I purchased my home, a homeowner’s warranty came with it. For a couple of years, I used the warranty whenever there was a problem with heating or cooling. And there were several! I knew I would need to replace the 25 year old heat pump soon, and I knew that I wanted a Rheem heat pump. I checked the Rheem site, and Temperature Control was one of the local companies that had the tech certification I was looking for. Interviewed two companies and chose Temp Control. I was pleased to learn of the awards they have received for customer service and the high BBB rating. They offered the best price, installed the heat pump and Lyric smart thermostat efficiently, and followed up to ensure I was satisfied with their service. From start to finish, Temp Control has been an excellent company to work with.

I began doing business here when this company won the BBB Customer Excellence Award in 2012. I am completely satisfied with the service I have received on my 20+ year old HVAC system. I also received a really good price quote on a new replacement system but have not yet decided to implement a replacement unit. Response time has usually been within 24 hrs which is good when your A/C is not operating well. Service Technicians are knowledgeable and treat you fairly. They will offer you options when they can.
