Tried out the restaurant on Saturday night. It’s small with a nice Terrace for good weather. Service was excellent drinks were delicious food was imaginative and well-made although the menu is small. I had the pasta primavera with dragon sausage my companion had the tilapia en pappilote. Both are excellent expertly cooked and prepared imaginatively but not too far out there. As an appetizer we split the pâté which was also extremely good. For dessert I had the small custard my companion had the cookie selection both again A Plus. I can highly recommend this excellent addition to the Tucson dining scene.

Beautiful patio and vintage atmosphere. Unique menu options with vintage dishes. Perfect spot for a Sunday brunch. Only downside is their high prices but it’s worth it for a special treat now and again.

I have to admit for a long time I did not even give this place a chance, I was thrown off and put off by a Tilapia Entrée on the menu. Tilapia is a trash fish and I am not a fan, so I passed on the whole place again and again. What got me hooked a late night encounter with the pickles and the watermelon mint salad, I then had more and it was all really good. The real clincher was brunch with amazing amazing coffee, The Shakshuka and Chilquiles I can’t get enough of. I love the patio, and the old world charm of interior. I’m glad I could get over my disdain for the mere idea of Tilapia, after all I don’t have to order it. There are plenty more dishes in the sea ;). Chilaquiles Divorciados ~ 13 Poached eggs, black beans, queso fresco, avocado Shakshuka ~ 9.5 Baked egg, spicy middle eastern tomato sauce, chickpeas, feta — cucumber salad

I had brunch here on Saturday morning, the waitress was very attentive and friendly. I got there around 9:30AM, which is the perfect time. By the time I left they were quite busy. I got the eggs Florentine with the tomato basil salad. It was seriously the best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had. I will be back again just to eat the sauce!

I love this place. It is quaint and eclectic. Own by the same owner as Augustin Kitchen, her style and taste can definitely be seen throughout. I even love how casual the servers are. Nose ring? No problem! They use real silver for silverware! What?!

Used Unilocal to help guide my decision to a Friday morning breakfast spot and wasn’t disappointed. The Coronet is a quaint restaurant with good food and good service.

A really cool place I found on Unilocal when working Tucson for work and looking for a lunch spot. When we arrived, we found the Coronet to be a lovely, somewhat rustic French brasserie and opted to sit outside(oddly felt a little like being in Paris even when looking out to the streets of Tucson??). Although coming for lunch, we reviewed the menu and chose brunch instead with both of us ordering the breakfast bowl that included poached eggs, spinach, roasted root vegetables, roasted tomatoes, welsh cheddar and Dragoon sausage. Wow, what a unique and tasty meal that wasn’t heavy but still very satisfying. Side cappuccinos complimented our brunch well and completed a totally different dining experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Service was not the friendliest but that’s okay since our waiter looked like Jared Leto :-).

I had been meaning to try out this place while, since the outdoor patio has always seemed really cute with a french bistro type of feel. They had a live guitarist. who was singing really depressing songs the night we were there. The food was overall okay. We enjoyed our appetizers more than the entrée we chose. We started off with the«Beet and dill salad, Evren’s walnut-feta paté, giardiniera, sumac pita chips» which was pretty good. The Beet salad was small, but tasted fresh. I enjoyed the pâté spread and chips that it came with. We also had the Paté de Campagne which was pretty good as well — it is a firm pâté fyi, not a spread which is what I was expecting. It comes with pickled vegetables and toast. Both were very neatly plated. For our entrée we had the Dragoon Sausage which was mediocre. The cauliflower mash it came with sounded interesting but lacked flavor. The brussel sprouts also tasted plain. We wish we’d opted for a different entrée. Service was good. Love that they provide blankets and heat lamps for the cooler evenings! They have a full cocktail menu

Stopped here for a work lunch and wow, it was such a lovely surprise! The décor and atmosphere is killer here. Garden like feel patio, with small string lights, pretty umbrellas to shield you from the Tucson heat and fantastic food. My favorite as odd as it may seem, was there toast and jam. I love toast– good toast! And homemade jam. That is exactly was this was. I felt like I was in Martha’s Vineyard with the jam. When I’m back in town I will def come back to check out more of the menu. And see what homemade jam is being served :)

If you haven’t been, drop everything and go now! This is my go-to place for brunch and checks all the boxes. Intimate and awesome brasserie vibe, amazing food, friendly service and a kick a$$ bloody mary(don’t be intimidated by the garnish, it’s delicious too!). For health nuts, go for the Rainbow Quinola. Granola with Quinoa, yes please! But my favorite brunch dish is the Shakshuka. Savory, delicious and perfectly prepared every time. You will not be disappointed. Grab a seat outside and kick back for a great meal and 4th Ave people watching.

In town for a short weekend, this was a great find. Thanks to Unilocal of course. Teeny little place, great ambiance and impressive French fare. The space inside has a small bar, and maybe 6 tables? the outside patio is spacious and has space heaters for chillier nights. I absolutely loved the Beef Bourguignon Cottage Pie. Think pot pie, but with BB inside instead of chicken. Rich and delicious. The waiter suggested the walnut feta pâté. My other half didn’t’t like traditional pâté(I love it), but this is a twist on the traditional dish. This is made with potatoes, feta, walnuts, and I don’t remember what else. Served with melba toast /crackers it was outstanding! Great wine list and specialty drinks as well. What I loved the MOST and wish other restaurants would do, is the fact that you could order a BITE of desert. I wanted just a little something sweet, but not a whole desert as I was stuffed. Lo and behold, on the menu is a literal BITE of desert. It waas a Chocolate pecan Carmael situation, served on a spoon with a few raspberries on a plate. Two bites of desert! awesome idea!

Gluten Free Review Used Unilocal to locate the closest most epic restaurant near me after leaving the Tucson airport and discovered«The Coronet» the dishes looked good, the quaint small building of the Coronet hotel reminds me of Disney. Think of the Tower of Terror hotel, it’s a relic but imagine a restaurant still open inside that is still pushing 5 star food… that would be this place. Parked across the street, not much signage to find this place but if you see Coronet Hotel your in the right place. From the service of walking in to walking out this is truly a 5 star gem that should get national attention. The waitress/manager was epic at accommodating a gluten-free patron such as myself and the food quality matched the service. Drinks: Rabbit Cocktail was so amazing and literally tasted like bliss of butterbeer and something I’d find in Hogwarts SOGOOD. Appetizer: Warm Olives was so damn tasty and juicy, I love getting all the flavor out by sucking on them, these were excellent and so fresh. Main Course: All gluten-free of course, Got the Shepard’s Pie dish but forgot the name but it was made with cauliflower purée and rice flour filling, GLUTENFREEHEAVEN I tell you, so delicious. Also got the Chicken with Rice and was a feast of goodness. Dessert: Panna Cotta and Caramel Bite and both were AMAZING especially the cherries on the Panna Cotta, nomnomnomnom. When she brought out separate plates, silverware, serving spoons so we could eat like Christmas I knew she cared, and I knew this place was going to be my number 1 restaurant of 2016 instantly. Great bartender, great service, even cooler bathroom, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Great job guys.

My first time here, I had the Shakshuka! It’s apparently the most popular brunch menu item. It was delicious, a little spicy and very full of flavor– although the pita that came with it was very dry and stale, everything else was done just right. The patio’s very pretty, but small. I really enjoy their coffee, I don’t get anything fancy here for coffee drinks, just their normal hot brewed coffee. It is awesome for being a place that doesn’t specialize in just coffee. It’s robust and very well balanced. I’m not sure what kind of beans they use; but after my last visit one of the employees walked by carrying a couple of the bags of coffee beans past where I stood outside talking, and it smelled like heaven… Suddenly it made sense why I enjoy their coffee so much. Those were some good coffee beans! The atmosphere is very nice, absolutely lovely décor, mellow and has a very quaint feel. This is one of the places I would come to more often if I had the time.

Omg! A++ for the delicious food & cute restaurant. I came here for brunch(8a-3p on Sat &8a-2p on Sun, I believe) and the shakshuka was WONDERFUL. It was perfectly spiced and the flavor was amazing. I’ve never had anything like it before and I absolutely loved it. The cucumber salad was a fitting light & fresh side. I also tried a little bit of the bread pudding French toast – very sweet, but also delicious, and again, the French toast was perfectly complimented by the fruit it was served with. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to go to The Coronet because the menu looks so simple and… I don’t know… dare I say limited? But after trying only 2 of their items I feel like each dish is very well assembled. Service was friendly but not overbearing. I ate at around 10:30am on a Saturday and there were plenty of open tables but the restaurant started to fill up pretty quickly from that point forward. Can’t wait to come back!

This place would have had 5 stars if it weren’t for the toast. Why, you ask? Because I honestly think that charging for toast and jam is a tad excessive. The waitress told us that the wait for food was going to be a little long and asked if we wanted to get some toast in the meantime. I honestly thought that since the wait is long, the toast would be complementary, for the sake of good customer service. But alas, tis not so. The meal was actually delicious and filling. I had eggs florentine with ham and throughly enjoyed the flavors and freshness of the meal. The latte was good, lacking in the bitterness that some lattes have so one point for that. The atmosphere is very pleasant, reminiscent of a small European café. The wait was really long though so definitely brace yourself for that.

ANABSOLUTEMUST! Having lunch at this café was like going back in time! Sally the owner stopped by our table and gave us the history of the building and the details of her elaborate renovation. It’s so perfect and every detail including the bathroom is tastefully done with artistic integrity and historic intrigue. My wife and I both had the ½ tartine(open face sandwich) and soup and it was beyond expectation. Loretta served us with smiles and we can’t wait to come back for brunch over the weekend. The freshly brewed mint tea cleansed my pallet and left me refreshed!

An ode to The Coronet: Adorable, Francophile atmosphere Draws customers to sit down here Charming, little patio A menu to make the diner say«oh!» “What tasty drinks! A kir royale! will slake my thirst and most of all A delightful cheddar plate will be the snack to share for my friend and me“ What delight this restaurant brings On a corner on fourth avenue too long vacant. Four stars! I won’t recant! Highly recommended for brunch, Eat here for lunch! and, of course, for happy hour!

I feel terrible writing reviews like this, but my favorite part of this meal was the beer, and I don’t even like beer. This place is so highly reviewed, and I had really high expectations, and probably it was just a series of anomalous coincidences that led to my less than stellar experience, but I didn’t enjoy any of the food. Hubby wanted to start with the sardine appetizer. I sampled a few bites and found it less gross than other sardines I have eaten, but not terribly interesting or something I wanted another taste of. Sort of plain and mushy. The crackers were light and airy and didn’t affect the flavor in any way. I ordered the tilapia and husband had the lamb. Both dishes came out cold, and neither looked impressive on the plate. The fish was terribly bland and slightly rubbery. The legume part of the dish – peas and lentils – were OK. The spinach was flavorless, and sauce was insufficient to infuse flavor into the dish. The lamb was really, really dry. It also required seasoning. There is some very good salt in a dish on the table, which helped a bit, but not enough to change my overall opinion of the meal. The root vegetables in the lamb were good but the meat was really disappointing. It seemed really overcooked to me. At least that dish had some flavor. I couldn’t finish the fish although the portion was small. I would probably come back another time and give this restaurant another shot; it can’t always be like this or it wouldn’t be among the top-rated restaurants in town, but based on this experience, I’m surprised at its popularity. The kitchen was probably slammed because it was graduation night, but that was no consolation to my mouth. The beer was called Iron John and it was made by a local brewery; they had just started selling it that day and said they had almost sold out already.
