The Downtown Clifton is an amazing place.
On top of being extremely clean and safe, the quality of the room and the hotel make this an exceptional place to stay. It is very apparent the staff and designers take great pride in creating an experience above and beyond a normal hotel.
Furthermore Nick and Hilary were very accommodating and gave great information about Tucson.

This place is a gem in Tucson. There are plenty of hotels to stay at if you want a cookie cutter experience, but this hotel IS the Tucson vibe. It’s charming, well kept, reasonably priced, and Nick who runs the show is a total pro.
Additionally, it’s location just about a 10 – 15 minute walk from the heart of Congress where all the restaurants and bars are, make it an ideal location to stay in if you are looking to hit the town and not pay for countless Ubers or cabs. Give The Downtown Clifton a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Imagine if your hipster, vegan, antique-​obsessed stylish best friend invited you to stay in his guesthouse. That’s what this place feels like! Great décor, friendly manager, cold-​brew iced coffee and organic snacks ready in your room. Lots of character. Never staying in a motel 6 or days in again.

Love this place! My lady and I were in town for Modernism Week and the Clifton was practically in walking distance to a majority of the events. Its low-​key exterior belies its cool clean rooms, with comfortable bed, great décor — and would you believe, cotton candy in the refrigerator! Our host was friendly and helpful, and our favorite amenity was the use of one of the portable record players from the office and playing Johnny Cash and Tom Jones in our room as we prepared for a night on the town! Big-​screen TV with cable and Netflix (if memory serves — I’d had a few drinks by then). The one thing I would recommend would be no-​slip runners or mats in the bathtub, but aside from that, perfection!
