Do not volunteer and do NOT let your daughters go alone — my daughter(a volunteer) was fondled and groped by a volunteer and the management did NOTHING! Disgusting response and terrible experience for my daughter.

I would like to give negative stars if possible. One of the most overpriced activities I have EVER done. Apocalypse is stupid. We paid nearly $ 30 to wait around in a line and another line and then get a fake gun to shoot zombies. It wasn’t scary and lasted like 5 minutes. My boyfriend’s gun ran out after like 10 shots and was supposed to be armed with 100 – 150! So I switched with him and couldn’t shoot anything. Don’t go to Slaughterhouse! Save your money

I enjoy haunted houses though more often than not I leave more disappointed than scared. I’ve been more scared at this one than any other, though — and hence the 5 stars. Tips: Go on a non-Fri/Sat. No lines and no groups makes for a better experience Save the City Meats experience for last — it’s the scariest one!

Went there last night. Really good and glad that I went. The places was big and not too crowded. The haunted houses were really cool specially the City Meats and the Cirque Du Slay, the fact that its interactive makes it way more awesome and the actors were really good and professional. I highly recommend those 2. The Boiler Room and the Twisted Tree Mortuary were nice too. I was kind of disappointed by the Zombie killing house. Just not what I expected but it was still fun. I recommend this place.

An awesome venue for a Music Festival! I came to The Slaughterhouse for the Gem and Jam Festival two weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised at the vast amounts of room to move around and the grounds of The Slaughterhouse. Between the main stage and the side stage, a bohemian bazaar, craft vendors, food trucks and flow toys are far as the eye could see — the festival grounds played host to over 5000 lovely party people and it barely felt like it. I’ve heard good rumor that their Halloween Haunt is absolutely worth it, though I’ve yet go to!

Ok… The scary houses are fun and you will possibly have a good time. Only, DONOTVOLUNTEERFORTHEM! The problem was not that the group of 15 people I went with got only paid 100 dollars for working hard for five hours. Our group did it mostly because it was supposed to be «fun.» The problem was that these people were all very mean, and talked down to us and treated us in a very rude way. The crew girls especially had an angry face the whole time and were talking to the volunteers as if the volunteers were trash. One of the make up guys, who seemed to be a manager of some sort, was very nice to everyone. That was the only exception, everyone else we interacted with from the crew was very rude. Many other people were saying the same thing. It only makes me think that they do not care for their volunteers, who are already working for nothing almost, and who are willing to stay there for 5 to 6 hours and endure the entire thing. They should be a lot nicer to people, because they would have to pay a lot if no one volunteered with them and they had to actually hire employees. It’s not like they aren’t making a lot of money out of Tucsonans. The management should seriously train their crew on how to have some customer service, even if you are dealing with employees or volunteers.

The slaughterhouse — 5 experiences at one location Each«house» has a different level fright We paid $ 23 each for the 4 main«houses» I bought our tickets online and arrived by 6:50.(it opens at 7) We had finished the park by 7:40 and encountered no lines whatsoever. City Meats — This is by far the scariest. There are a ton of actors running at you with weapons and you may encounter a chainsaw across your limbs. Boiler Room — Zombies in tight dark spaces. Really cool but the army chick yelling move at the end was annoying. CarnEvil — Killer Clowns. They make use of 3d glasses and some messed up situations that I loved. like splitting up at the male and female bathrooms so your gf has a heart attack lol. Twisted Tree Mortuary — This one was kiddish and maybe not worth going to alone but as part of a whole experience was fun. I’ll tell you like this as a war vet and someone who endured t2SF training city meats is pretty intense. It’s hard to be scared as a grown man but I definitely enjoyed it. My only gripe is that you’re told«Don’t touch the actors and they won’t touch you.» That was complete BS I got touched several times and a zombie accidentally hit me in the lip. still 4⁄5 worth the money.

I’m from Oregon and have never been to such a thing before and have only seen haunted houses featuring on the travel channel. I am so glad I went because it was everything I expected!!! A little spendy but totally worth it! We were there for about 2.5 hours and did all 5 haunts. Twisted tree mortuary and City Meats were definitely my favorite and the scariest!!! The others were neat, but my least was the Apocalypse– kinda cheesy but the seat up was awesome. Overall I recommend checking this out if you’re in the area :)

Loved the 80’s hair band ZEBRA show there last fall, was hoping that they will return? I think a gentleman named Bobby was the reason ZEBRA was there? Update me slaughter house please! :)

I have been to Zombie Apocalypse twice — in both the old and new incarnations, it was amazing both times. During October they have 3 – 4 haunted houses, all of which are absolutely worth the combo admission price. My advice: go. Whether you live in Arizona or just passing through: it’s an awesome experience.

Been to the haunted houses in October and they are awesome. My family has been to multiple of their apocalypse events and they are so much fun. Went to the one last weekend and they have redone the entire experience to be upstairs, it’s now much longer and lot more intense. There is a little bit of a wait after you check in but staff kept us updated and let us know how long we had to go. Would probably buy the VIP tickets next time because it gets u a tshirt and u don’t wait in line, along with all the upgrades that are available for regular ticket holders to buy. Great experience, will definitely be back!

Bought tickets to the ‘Zombie apocalypse night’ on their site for 18 bucks each. This is an event where you put on gear, get a gun, supposed to get tactical training and shoot zombies! Sounded like a good idea… Less than 24 hours after buying my tickets they had a special on groupon for 2/15.00. I contacted them, but no refund! SUCKER! So tonight my family went. We chose a event time when purchasing the tickets(btw spent 72.00) BUT they stood in line for over 3HOURS! Then got ready, put on helmets and had guns. They also bought extra bullets anticipating needing them AND since they were out of the pistols they provide with the 18.00 entry your choice was to wait longer than the 3 hours we already waited or UPGRADE to a machine gun or rifle for an extra 8 dollars?!! WHAT! .They walked in this building, and literally spent 5MINUTES in this room shooting zombies! They didnt even use the original bullets let alone the extra that they bought. This event WASTHEBIGGESTRIPPOFFEVER!!! Do NOT throw away your hard earned money on this place! Horrible horrible management and poorly planned event. I still cant believe this happened and will NEVER attend another event there.

Web site price says $ 7 dollars for any event it also says $ 15 dollars and 35 for(VIP). We paid $ 18 dollars to get in for just a few minutes of time killing zombies after waiting in line for four hours; what a waste of money very disappointed. We will not go back. Here is the response I received back from the company. We are sorry he did not enjoy his experience. For the most part we have had awesome reviews but we know will not be able to please everyone. First, our SlaughterHouse website shows a price of $ 7 any attraction for the Haunted House in October. Apocalypse is featured on the website but has its own ticket prices and nowhere on our site does it say Apocalypse for $ 7, but sorry if he was confused. Next, we are sorry he had to wait so long, this is a brand new event that no one else has ever done and we are still working out the logistics. The overwhelming success has caught us by surprise and we are trying to adjust as best we can. But if you feel you need to bad mouth our event that is your choice.

Slaughter house is a haunted house that is set up in an actual slaughter house that has been closed down for some time. We had a really great time. They have four haunted houses, and each is scarier than the other. Although the one we entered wasn’t that scary(the boiler room-which is supposed to be the second scariest) it was really cool. They also have a huge outdoor area where you can take pics by the hearses, hear live music, visit club carnage for a drink, and see scary people walk around. The only downside is that it’s $ 7 per attraction/or $ 21 for all four. So, it’s a bit pricey-which is surprising since the haunted house is mostly ran by volunteers. When we have some extra spending money, we’re gonna go back and check out the scariest one.
