Tucson Symphony Orchestra

In a hurry, but just wanted to say how great TSO is. They provided and awesome educational experience for my son and his school, teaching them about music and how it tells stories. They even gave all the kids a free book on the way out. Shibby!

Hey all you guys out there who think the symphony is just for old people, you are probably right. I go and feel like I am the youngest person in there, and I am no spring chicken. They have gone from 3 performances to 2 for each concert. At the rate they are going all the people will be dead in a couple of years who give money. They absolutely do nothing to encourage the 20 to 30 crowd to come. They do a lot with young kids bur that does not increase their audience. I have had season tickets for 5 years, and it is hit or miss. Last night was a complete miss, I wanted to claw my ears out if that is such a thing. It was a Ludwig B. thing which I usually like, but it was 81 minutes of shear hell. Boring to the point of Nassaum, why why why did I put myself through that. Why was because there was no intermission to leave. Maybe if more people would come in a younger age bracket they would change some things.
So go and try it, take a chance most of the time it is pretty good.
