I do not take the single-star lightly, but Valley ENT has earned it. Put simply, they are unprofessionally managed. When I arrived, their waiting room was packed with angry people complaining loudly about their wait times. Initially, I wasn’t sure if it was an off day but, after two hours of waiting myself, I’d overheard enough complaining from my fellow patients to realize that an hour or two in the waiting room is fairly routine. The office staff were polite but not good communicators – though they had been massively behind schedule all day, they did not tell me that my appointment was going to be delayed until after the first hour of waiting. By then, I’d invested so much time in waiting for them that I decided to stick it out. When I finally did get to see the doctor – Adam Ray in this case – he was so rushed that it felt like he didn’t have time to listen to my symptoms, let alone offer a coherent explanation of his own thoughts. Two hours of waiting for five minutes of breezy, useless face-to-face time. Since my visit, I have called the office twice and waited through endless muzak for an operator. You probably won’t be surprised to hear that they aren’t very good about calling back. Dr. Ray might be a decent doctor if I’d seen him for more than five minutes, but he and his colleagues are weighed down by incompetent staff. Or perhaps I blame the staff unfairly and they are being requested to overbook patients by the doctors. It’s hard to know why Valley ENT is a terrible experience, but it’s also beside the point. They’re slow, disrespectful, and not worth visiting.
