First time trying this place! Their prices are damn decent for Thai! The food was so-so, not the best but definitely not the worst(you get what you pay for basically and hence the 3 stars). I ordered pad-se-lew, beef with bell peppers and onions, and house Thai fried rice. My favorite had to be the fried rice ’cause you really can’t go wrong with that. Had my food delivered and I gotta warn you, do not have them deliver if you’re starving or you’re screwed! It took well over an hour for my food to get here.

Came here twice at 11:00am, waited around for 10 minutes, but no sign of the shop opening. If you say you open at 11:00am then open at 11:00am not 11:30am or 12:00pm.

This was my second time here. The first time was a couple years ago and i ordered pad Thai and something else with my sister. From what I remember, the pad Thai was a bit dry. Yet, that was at least two years ago. Tonight I ordered spicy noodles– medium– combo meat. I definitely got my money’s worth! A little oily and could be a little more flavorful but overall I enjoyed it! I ordered it medium spicy but it came mild. Could be preference. The vegetables in the dish may not be traditional(green beans and spinach) but it was still good! I’ll have to try it again some time!

What a mistake! We’ve been getting our Thai food from My Thai for years but I thought I’d branch out and try another spot. It was bad news from the start. 1) no delivery 2) 60 minutes to get food, 25 minutes waiting for them to «finish the last 2 dishes»(what was happening to the first 3 during that time?). 3) the Tom Yum Gai soup was a clear broth– not a trace of coconut 4) the plain Pai Thai came loaded with tofu(yuk). 5) everything was bland 6) the orange chicken was fried to a soggy slimy texture. So on the positive side, it really helped us to feel grateful for My Thai, if it ain’t broke…

I ordered here for the first time(take out). The gentleman who took my order was very pleasant over the phone and got my order perfect when I picked it up. We ordered green curry which was by far my favorite, had it had Thai eggplant rather than the purple eggplant it would have been spot on to many green curries I’ve had in Thailand. I would imagine the chicken satay was great since my 7 year old polished off all 5 pieces before anyone else could try it! We also ordered chow mein which I wouldn’t normally order and won’t order again. I liked that it was filled with veggies and generous on the pork, but the flavor just wasn’t what We expected. We will stick to the traditional Thai dishes in the future. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu! We also fed our family of 4 for $ 20!!!

The guys within the kitchens of this sketchy hole in the wall of a restaurant have saved many a dinners for me and my wife. We moved into Tujunga from L.A. a few months ago and we took a chance with this spot, and now it’s a go-to every time we struggle to decide on dinner. Not only is it good for Tujunga standards, it’s probably one of the best Thai food restaurants I have had ever. All the classics(pad tai, tom yum, beef salad, etc) are money. Can’t go wrong with anything, and the price is super chill and affordable… well, more affordable than Thai food is normally. Definitely if you’re wondering what to eat for dinner or are looking for your go to Thai spot, Pan Tang is the best you’ll find.

I had to update my review from 4 stars to 5 stars. Last time I ordered take out from Pan Tang, they made a mistake and my Tom Yum soup was not mild like I had asked for it. Right away, without my asking, the person on the phone said they were so sorry for the mistake and they’d DELIVER a fresh one. I’ve always thought that the true value of a restaurant is proven in how they react when they make a mistake. A very normal, human thing to do, but the fact that they went through the effort to make it right is what makes this restaurant a 5 star experience for me!

Eat here regularly with my husband and we love this place. The best Thai food in the area also you can’t beat the price. I love most of their dishes :) it’s a family own and run business and the people who work here are always very polite and kind had to leave them a nice review because of how awesome this place is

I came here one night to pick up take-out. I ordered a shrimp tom-yum soup and prik King! This place is very generous with their shrimp! Usually, most restaurants will only give 2 – 3 shrimp per soup but not here. There were so many large shrimp in my soup, I was impressed. Plus it was only $ 6 which I’ve been to places that will charge $ 11 and be stingy with the meat or fish you ask for. The prik King was also very good and spicy! I love my Thai food spicy. I highly recommend take-out from here. Also, I loved that they gave fortune cookies with the food! I’ve never been to a Thai restaurant and gotten fortune cookies.

Authentic Thai food here, good presentation of certain dishes, tasty and good price, though very simple décor both outside and inside the restaurant. Definitely will visit again!

I love that everything is made to order. It’s real, healthy, and very spicy! Love the Tom Kai Ki soup, and Thai salads Yum Yai. Shrimp and chicken and fresh vegetables. They deliver too. Very cool and very friendly family owned business.

The owner here is wonderful! He is a nice elderly man and his prices are so affordable! My vegetarian pad thai is around $ 6 and it’s a big portion — enough for two meals for sure. I also appreciate that he is so generous on the tofu and makes it without fish sauce. Thai tea is on the sweeter side but I just add more milk when I get home. Great, honest family business and I’ll be back again and again!

I have to say I do like their food. BUT, you never know when they will or will not be open!!! The last 3 or 4 times I tried, they didn’t answer. I check the menu for hours and days of the week they are open. But that doesn’t seem to matter. For instance, a Saturday night at 6pm?! I have stopped calling because it has become not worth the frustration. Bummer, their food is really pretty good. Just not reliable.(also, if you are on a tight schedule, go pick up the food. You may be told delivery is 35 minutes but It could be over an hour. I have had that happen several times) If you get thru and able to place your order, and its ok to wait for the delivery… it’s great when it gets there!

Reality check. This place is not 4 stars. The place is scary looking and looks like a former garage shop. Yeah cheap, but if portions are small does cheap matter if you have to order twice as much? See my Cibo Thai review. They be running game on customers! I ain’t having it and neither should you! Came here once and never wanted to go back. Enough said about this less than mediocre joint. Poon Tang see ya!

Pan Tang is a disappointment. Not in their food, but in their service. Usually, mediocre service can be overlooked if the food is phenomenal. In their case, food is average, if you can even get your food. They succeeded on the first attempt and we were happy, but then two unfortunate incidents happened. Online orders stated 45 – 60 minutes for delivery. Instead, after a 60 minute wait, a call was made to them and they changed their wait time to 90 minutes. For pick up, the wait was to be 30 minutes. Instead, another 20 minute wait was required. Definitely passing on this venue. Two terrible experiences don’t make a right. It makes for a hungry irritable person.

So good!!! It’s a 6-table little place that I have not even noticed until I browsed my Unilocal page. So we ordered for pick up. Chicken pad Thai, yellow chicken curry and mango with sticky rice. Basic food group for hungry people. Yes, it was really tasty and fresh. The chicken was not over cooked. The guy who works here was fast and it was all-ready! I would order again.

Everything is super cheap, yes, but the portion sizes are MINISCULE. The average person will need at least two dishes. The average bro will need three. The stunner bro(me) will need three and a half or four. In the end, you’ll end up paying about the same as you would at any other Thai restaurant. Now, some of the items are actually quite good. Much better than other Thai restaurants. But others fall really flat. It’s a huge gamble. Service is very, very friendly, but also ridiculously slow. I feel bad, because they seem to be genuinely trying. They just want to keep a family-only show and I don’t think it’s working out. It’s also ridiculously nasty inside. Your skin and clothes WILL smell like grease and frying oil if you dine in. Not my idea of the kind of place I’d want to bring anybody for dinner. This is more of a pick-up spot for when one is feeling way too sassy for Hot Pockets while playing Halo alone in their underwear.

An unpretentious, downhome, Thai eatery manned by two nice guys. who may not be the most professional in terms of time management & culinary efficiency, but try to do their best in getting out the food and helping out customers. I came by Pan Tang to take out from their menu since it was my first time, and didn’t have their take out menu to be able to reference an order via phone.(There is no Pan Tang website.) I prepaid at about 7:05pm and let them know I had errands to run and would be back by 7:45pm and the waiter confirmed the time. At the time of the order, there was only one table that had customers. I came back at the appointed time and still had to wait about 10 minutes with only another group of people at one table. So as a warning, letting you know ahead that there will probably be a time lag. The prices at Pan Tang are certainly a deal. I ordered the 2 Angel Wings for $ 5.95 and the Pad Thai for another $ 5.95. The Pad Thai in amount & quality was comparable to other Thai restaurants, However, as good as the Stuffed Angel Wings were in appearance, the inside stuffing of minced pork, rice vermicelli, etc. was very watery & loose which detracted from the fried chicken wings which came out meaty, solid & hearty. The watery, mushy pork filling seemed almost undercooked which is discomforting considering that pork may contain parasites no matter how unlikely for pork raised in the USA. There are better Thai restaurants closer to Hollywood, but that is a long way from Tujunga. For a convenient, very reasonable outpost for Thai, Pan Tang is a good deal.
