Best Buy

Received an expensive gift for xmas. Did not want giver to know I was returning it. Was told the only option was to put it back on the original card. This means I do not get the money and the giver knows it was returned. What kind of store only does xmas returns for a gift card or charge back to original card? Terrible. Will never purchase from Best Buy again.

Zeroooooo stars!!! Every single sales person has no time to help me find toner for my printer. I asked THREE people all wearing «the blue» and no idea or go to a different department… Now if you need to shell out big bucks for a new printer I bet someone would have time…

Possibly the worst sales, customer service experience ever. Not only have we bought $$$$ in appliances at once, but to have your customer run from store to store knowing that the product was never available! To begin with. Almost everyone in this store can care less about customer service. From bottom tier to the top. Beware of having their installation team do anything. May end up just having to bring in your own personal installers. Location is not key. Better online ordering. You’ll have to deal worth there corporate or their 1800 either way. office Maybe hire, train and keep your staff knowledgeable.

If you are thinking of buying something in this store, RUN!!! They lie to their customers again and again. They never apologized and when I spoke to their corporate office they said it is against policy to formally send an apology letter.
Their salespeople lied to me when they sold me a refrigerator, their warehouse actually wrapped and packaged a damage fridge that they still wanted to install in my house and when I complaint about it their complaint department, supervisor, and manager NONE OF THEM FOLLOWED UP ON MY COMPLAINT. Worst service in my life.

Came here a few days ago to get some ideas for Xmas presents, and I ended up getting an Apple Watch for myself. Very pleased with the service and knowledge of all the sales associates.
A few days after my purchase I got an email of their weekly ads saying their Apple Watches were $ 50 off. I was shocked that they went on sale so I decided to call and see if they would price match and give me a refund. Surprisingly they did and said it is no problem if it is within 1 week of purchase. I came back with my receipt to get my refund of about $ 55 (with tax). It’s assuring to know that if this happens again, it won’t be an issue.
Just lacking a star because their customer service (returns and exchanges) are a little messy. I totally understand it is the holidays and they are busy but I was literally standing at the counter while the girl helping me was going back and forth helping other people. Poor girl but she needed to finish with one customer at a time.

It is the first time I truly realize how shitty Best Buy actually is and find it so shocking that they are still in business.
We normally do our shopping online… We were heading in to purchase iPad cases that my husband needed for work the next day. He needed ten and noticed that they were on sale online. First, it’s somehow almost impossible to find someone to help us. Second, first the guy told us he only had four in stock but when he went to go find those my husband found 12 on a rack nearby.
Here is where it gets weird and just plain ridiculous… he comes back from the back and for some reason says that he can only sell us 7?
Me: «Is it because of the price matching cuz we can purchase a couple at regular price?»
Guy:“no it’s just company policy and this is what my manager told me.“
Me: «…can we talk to her then?»
She comes out and for some reason explains that it’s some kind of company policy that she can technically only sell us 5 cuz she has to keep some in stock if there are other customers who want to come in to purchase them… but then she continues to state (with a lil attitude) that she was trying to do us a favor and go above and beyond by allowing us to purchase 7 instead of 5! Omg!!! How magnanimous!
Can we do separate transactions? Yes, but only if we have separate cards but unfortunately it all has to go on the company card.
He could come back the next day to purchase the remainder… uhh…we are here now and want to purchase all ten so we don’t have to haul our asses back tomorrow out of our way to purchase the remainder that you should be selling to us tonight!!!
First off… it’s a stupid policy. Second, we didn’t even know the policy to begin with so to tell us you are doing us a huge above and beyond favor by letting us purchase two more when we didn’t even know a stupid policy like that existed is ridiculous…
We are telling them that we are ready to spend over $ 1000 in the store and you are telling us we can’t do that???
The whole situation was so ridiculous and baffling I’m still feeling confused and shocked at the stupidity of this supposed policy. I just can’t wrap my head around it.
We couldn’t even get the online sale price so we were paying a regular $ 100 a piece for them. If it were Black Friday and $ 20 a piece then I would understand the limit. How does a company not want to sell their products to us? And at regular price?! If I go into a store and they are sold out well… too bad for me! If you sell out you sell out and you are doing your job and doing it well… none of this,“I can’t sell you my product.” Bullshit.
Now he has to find 3 more before his meeting first thing in the morning.

Staff was fine. Maybe a little less apathetic than I would be if someone came in to exchange (not return) a tv that I spent a bunch of dough on and was unable to. This crappy review is aimed at Best Buy’s policy. 15 days to return/​exchange? No exceptions?
First off, I was not informed of these 15 days on the day of purchase. Secondly, this is my first tv and now I want a different one, but instead am blown away and slightly traumatized by this terrible policy.
It would’ve been nice to have been informed from the get go. It would’ve been beyond nice to have been able to exchange what I mistakenly purchased.

The mobile guys here are rude and they really don’t care about anything other than getting trashed the night before and about trying to sleep with some girl from the bar. or at least that’s all I heard between 3 associates from there when I was trying to find accessories for my phone.3 standing around talking about their Friday night adventures while customers are standing around waiting for help. and as soon as I turn to one they all scatter and leave and walk away. wow…great work guys… they don’t want your business I guess or it was just me. not sure. Well anyways good luck on getting help here from a bunch of idiots that are only there just for there non commission minimum pay checks…

This location just lost out on about 900 dollars of business because they didn’t have stock of the HP all in one Desktop computer we wanted.
The shelves were very sparsely stocked and It made me wonder if they are going out of business…
Plus the whole store smelled weird
We went to another store (not a best buy) and actually got it cheaper too.
Not a good experience

The long story short is the rude, pompous, little jerk employee who took my iPhone preorder ordered them for the wrong carrier. Instead of just being honest they lied repeatedly about being able to track down a replacement. All I asked for was some honesty and communication and I was avoided or lied to at every turn.
I finally just ordered my phone through Verizon and get to wait an extra month because of this store’s incompetence.
I’ll never return to this store and Best Buy corporate will be lucky if I ever shop at any of their franchises.

Products are hard to find, staff is absolutely unhelpful, selection is limited and more expensive than advertised on their websites. I do not recommend

I went here about a year ago to purchase a case for my iPhone. The first time I went here they couldn’t locate it, and it was suppose to be in stock. The inventory was wrong. They said to return a couple of days later. I did, and still nothing. I went to another online retailer and purchased it for a much cheaper price. 3 stars because It was a waste of gas and time. I would return again, but only if what I’m looking for is cheaper than other places. Also, their returns is a very easy process.

Terrible customer service. Went to get a new cell phone and waited in line for someone to assist. I was the first one in line and some how was helped 2^nd. Standing outside at 9:50 a.m. Waiting for store to open and then from what I was told. Waiting for the associate to finish up in the bathroom. Basically a whole lot of waiting and poor communication on best buy team. I have a best buy card and have purchased lots of things from them. After this experience I will not be returning to the brick and mortar if I need something I will order online. Anyhow went home called AT&T and ordered a new phone which will be next day delivered. Problem solved. No thanks to Best Buy!

Six years ago, I bought my first laptop here. Yes, six years ago. And the staff then were great in regards to helping me decide what I should buy helping me out with what I needed at the time. Fast forward to now and I’m in the Southcenter Best Buy again, purchasing another laptop. And as soon as I walked over to what I intended to purchase, I was greeted by a couple of blue shirts who asked if I had any questions, which I did. In about 10 minutes, I was in and out of the store with my new laptop in hand.
And this store does smell weird, but I think all Best Buys have that smell to them.

This location is usually always busy and it smells weird. It’s a typical Best Buy and has a decent variety of nerd gear. One thing I can’t stand is the Dell sales people in the laptop area. I was harassed several times by one Dell worker to buy and check out Dell laptops. I told her several times I don’t like Dell so no thank you. But she wouldn’t leave me alone. Ugh so annoying.
Anyway the rest of the store is kept pretty clean and organized. Nothing too special about it.

Not many stores can provide the «we will make it right if it was our fault» deal anymore.
When my Lenovo Yoga 2 failed out of the box, 3 times; Best Buy made it right for me.
After three trips to return, exchange and try a new device, the manager offered to comp me for the difference I would need to upgrade to a better model.
I was not able to afford to pay the difference out of pocket, they saved my work from being on hold until I could source a cheaper alternative.
Hardworking, polite, and compassionate sales structure. I don’t see much of that anymore at other stores.

I arrived at the Southcenter Best Buy on an epic quest for a new sound system for my car. My journey began at the Customer Service desk in the front of the store.
Me: Excuse me, could you please tell me where the car stereos are?
Customer Service: If we have them, they are in the back over there.
Me: …But you might not have them?
CS: (confers with colleagues) Yeah, they are in the back over there (gestures vaguely).
Bewildered, I then wandered toward the «back over there», starting to regret skipping the gym to run this errand. Another employee then approached.
Guy: Can I help you?
Me: Yes, hello, I am shopping for car stereos.
Guy: Hmm, well, I can try to help you but I’m no expert… haha!
Me: Oh hmm. is there. an expert I could talk to then?
Guy: Oh yeah, just go through that door over there.
I located said door and then met Billy and Pat, who were so incredibly nice and helpful that they made me almost forget about the events that led up to this point.
Billy let me test all the stereos and speakers, listened to what I wanted, taught me about «peak» vs «rms» (always good to learn new things) and didn’t try to pressure or upsell me.
Billy and Pat did an amazing job of installing the system I chose and making sure I knew how to operate it all. My new woofer has improved my quality of sound and quality of life by a significant amount.
Unfortunately, Customer Service struck again. Even after I scheduled the installation, I received multiple grumpy automated emails threatening to cancel my order and send all the parts back. Even after I called to double-​check on everything, there was still a problem with my order that took about 20 minutes to remedy on the day of my installation.
To sum up, Billy and Pat were amazing and they more than made up for the amusing misadventures with Customer Service.
Thanks for the new sound system, guys!

Oh Best Buy, sometimes you are good but more often than not, you suck.
I don’t have an issue with their prices, you can actually get some pretty killer deals here if you pay attention.
Store has another weird layout. I wish they would just make them all the same so I am not walking around like a lost puppy.
I had to run in today and grab 2 xbox one’s for work. One guy in the game section asked if I needed help. I told him I just needed some xbox one’s and he proceeded to tell me that I can get them up front but then started talking to me like I was either a little kid or dumb. not sure which one yet.
Made my way up front with 2 other items I needed. Told the cashier I needed 2. He gave me the weirdest look, unlocked the case with the help of another associate and they were both super puzzled as to why I needed 2. How about don’t worry about it, I am spending over a G with you people on that and other stuff. Be Happy.
Cashier was actually very nice, I am not knocking him.
I just don’t tend to Like Best Buy since time and time again at all locations I get shitty service.

The store is a dizzying mix of products, laid out in no apparent order. You’ve got sound bars littered throughout the TVs, sometimes grouped by brand, sometimes grouped by function. This makes it extremely difficult to find a specific product.
Given that I didn’t see what I was looking for, I asked an employee. He wasn’t exactly helpful. He was chatting with another employee, doing nothing, and I showed him the product I wanted on my phone. I said, ‘I’m looking for this sound bar.’ He gratingly informed me that they’re actually called sound plates. (Why he felt the need to correct me isn’t clear.) He then asked me what I wanted to do — did I want to listen to it? buy it? Given that I knew what I was looking for, it was somewhat clear that I wanted it, and besides, shouldn’t the display model and the stock be right next to each other? The employee then pulled the product out from the shelf halfway and left it there. It would have been nice had he actually picked it up and handed it to me. He needs more training on how to politely and helpfully interact with customers.
This is a terrible place to go if you’re at all in a rush. Checkout is unreasonably slow, a result of poor staffing and training. I went there when the parking lot was full and the store was busy. they only had three cashiers. One couldn’t figure out how to take the security tag off merchandise, one slowly counted and returned coin change, one left the checkout stand to go get something from the floor, and one turned off his light to do something else. Meanwhile, there were two guys in the back of the TV section doing absolutely nothing. The checkout flow is also confusing and lengthy — you have to check a box *every time you check out* stating that you don’t want to become a Best Buy Rewards member. Do they think peddling this so shamelessly will get us to buy it? Do they think we’re stupid?
This place is a mess in a multitude of ways. Unfortunately it’s the only electronics variety store in the area. If you can find what you’re looking for at Target, go there instead.

Customer service sucks here. I went in to buy a tv for a gift for my mom. There were alot of workers but were not very helpful. When I asked where I could find the tv that was in the flyer, I was pointed to the back area and was told it was up on the shelf near the back wall and then left to myself. Well it was on a shelf that was not within reach for me. I am not a very tall person so you would think that they would help get the tv down for me. So I went back to the group of workers who were just talking amongst themselves and asked for help again. No apology for not helping me out the first time. Obviously they do not care about customer service. I am not returning to this store that is for sure.
