We spent about $ 30 for one child’s entertainment, and he was entertained! It was clean, Lots of games, favorite app games in large scale, many crane games(didn’t win any :() and he bowled. The music was kind of loud but upbeat and current. We will be going back and this time I’ll be playing!

After experiencing Round One on vacation in Japan, I was excited to try the one at Southcenter. In fact my fiancé and I was planning to have our May birthday event there. But that changed. I was somewhat disappointed by what they call an arcade. There were more tickets games than anything else. Unruly kids running and screaming around. And the teenagers that just hang out on and around games that they are not even playing. At least Silver Coin back in the day didn’t allow loitering. Claw games were ok, offering cute plush dolls, very similar to the arcades in Tokyo. But for $ 2 dollars a game I would rather order the dolls and prizes off Amazon. They had a decent variety of videos games ranging from rhythm music games to shooting games and racing games. It’s kinda sad that they have to «tax» the prices to play the games. For example Initial D 8 is $ 1.50, in Japan it’s 100 yen, which exchanges to under $ 1. I’m pretty sure anywhere outside of the states its cheaper, but corporate America has to get paid somehow. The one thing that really upsets me is the Dead Heat game they have. GameWorks has that too and it’s actually worth the money. At Round One, it’s only 1 lap versus GameWorks 3 laps and the gameplay is sped up, wow. Sped up game play so players have to spent more. I can’t say much about the bowling or billiards. After experience with the arcade I didn’t even want to try the other activities. I’m making a lot of comparisons with the Round One and other arcades in Japan. Only because it’s the same franchise and genre of entertainment. Big difference is how they treat their customers. Prices aren’t high, quality of the games and machines were great and they don’t allow kids to be unruly and teens to just«kick it».

I have been 4 times but only early during the day. Never after 3pm. We always have a good time. My kids are 4&10. I spend around 30 – 40 bucks for both on games. The workers are friendly and very attentive. I wouldn’t recommend the food. If you are just bowling and eating, I’d suggest going across the street to AMCE(the food is yummy). There’s a mix of older games and more high tech games. There are also private karaōke rooms and comfy bowling areas. Fun for a date night or just hanging with the kiddos.

Fun place. Great customer service. They only serve beer. Kinda small in gay area but feasible. They have alot to do. Decent food. Lots of security though. Lol. Only down fam is after 10pm is agreed 18 and over. If you want to bring your kids to a late night bowl doesn’t work.

Way better than game works! Will be coming back. The plushes are very easy to get! If you tried for about 5 times you can get help from the workers. I have gotten 3 plushies :)

This place is awesome! I love it here. There’s a huge variety of games for kids and adults. I’ve only come here for the arcade games, I have yet to try bowling, pool, or karaōke. I went here on Saturday night and they still had this deal going on. If you buy an hour of unlimited gaming you get one free picture in a photobooth(worth around $ 6). The game card itself is $ 10, so you’re getting a really good deal. Obviously this doesn’t work for ALL games(ticketed games), but if you’re just there on a date night or with some friends it’s a good deal! Since there’s a 90 second delay between each swipe, you can wait on some games so you can have two players with one card on one game. Kids under 21 are not allowed after 11PM or so be aware of that. It’s pretty busy from 8PM-11PM.

This review is dedicated to one of the girls who work at the bowling cashier. Last Tuesday’s night, My friends and I were waiting in line to reserve for our bowling lane. Yes, All 5 of us were in a line, together, and there were even some people behind us. Guess what? The cashier girl just let 2 people cut in front of me. like this guy just came out of nowhere and hanging out near the cashier for a minute. Then, once she was done with her previous customer, she just started helping him out right away regarding of having a long line of people waiting. If it was a quick question, then it would be understandable, but no, it was like 2 – 3 minutes. At first I was like. alright. I will let it go. But then. this random chick came out of nowhere and cut in front of me, too. And yes, this girl cashier just let that chick cut in front of me, again. like WTF? Open your eyes. I tried sooo hard not to yell at her SMH. I did confront her, but she made excuse that those guys came first. I don’t think so. I was there the whole time before they all got there. Anyway, once I asked her how long would be the wait for 1 bowling lane(it was at 11:30 pm at that time), she said 3 hours. YEAHRIGHT! 3 freaking hours, and Round 1 closes at 2 am. Thank you for being so honest. I was like, sure, put my name down then. I will wait. And it took only 45 minutes before we got the text that our bowling lane was available. It was frustrating. After letting people cutting in front of the line, then lying to me? That’s so rude. Otherwise, overall rating for the Round1 is still a 4 stars to me. Fun interactive games, Cool Bowling Alley, Great winning prizes and Solid pizzas. But like I said, this review is dedicated to her. *cheers*

Oh man… so easy to spend money playing vids. I’ve taken my 5 year old twin nephews here at few times and they always have a blast playing the games. Haven’t had a chance to try bowling here yet but they’ve got a great variety of games. They actually have 2 Star Wars Battle Pod machines which is off the chains. Most of the games will cost you over $ 1 a play… you basically load a pre-paid card and scan it when you play a machine deducting from your balance. While it’s nowhere close to the monster arcades of the 80’s — it’s still a fun time.

What a great fun place to bring our family… It was a place for all ages and I would like to give a special shoutout to a very professional worker that made our night even more fun… Alex was very nice, friendly and helpful on giving us tips on how to win our plush dolls. You have a great staff. We will be back!!!

Round1 has everything from arcade games, bowling alley, karaōke rooms, pool tables and a BAR! Yes, that last part I mentioned is very important lol. Round1 is located at the Southcenter Mall, and has ample parking. As we were approaching the building, there was a security guard at the entrance checking ID and handing out wristbands for under 21 and over 21. This was our first time here, and all I knew was we were coming here for bowling. Little did I know this place was more than just a bowling alley. It was fricken huge! BOWLING: 5⁄5 stars Our friends were there early and had put down our names which took about 2 hours before our names were called. But regardless of the wait, we still had a great time. They had a pretty simple bowling price package. You could either pay by the hours(90mins-120mins) or pay by the games(only 1−2games). And prices vary by day and times. Feeling we had a pretty big group, we thought paying for 2 games would be better. Once we paid for everything, they sent us to go get our rental shoes. Let me just say that I felt like a little kid when I saw how their rental shoes were set-up! The shoes were located in «lockers», sorted by shoe sizes. All you had to do was push the button for the particular shoe size, and out came your shoes! There was also a cubby hole section for returning shoes. I felt a little bad for returning a bunch of shoes, but the sizes were a bit larger than normal as I’m a size 8, but ended up wearing a size 6. After settling in our lanes, it was time for picking up our bowling balls. I seriously loved how organized their ball rack was. Each ball was sorted by weight and then by finger size(Hawai’i bowling alleys, please take notes! lol). So every 8lb balls were blue, 9lb balls were magenta, etc. Not to mention, the bowling alley area was super clean, and I loved the big screens behind the pins. BAR: 3⁄5 stars When it comes to bowling, playing arcade games and/or singing karaōke, drinking is a MUST. I can prove my scores for bowling only get better when I’m impaired… true story lol. The reason why their bar gets 3⁄5 stars is mainly because there was barely anyone there whenever we went to the bar. A couple times, we had to flag down other workers in other sections just to get served. And every time we went up to grab a pitcher, they were always out of the beers we wanted. For our second round of pitcher, they were out of the beer we originally got, so we switched to another beer. And then on our third round of pitcher, they were out of that last beer we got, but the beer we originally got from the start was available. Not a big deal, but it was just a bit inconsistent for the drunk people trying to get beer lol. Also, they close their bar earlier than Round1 closes. ARCADES: 5⁄5 stars I can easily compare their arcade games to D&B’s. Game cards were easy to purchase. They had a great selection of games and this definitely was a great place to hangout before and after playing bowling. They also have a good amount of claw machines. We definitely spent a lot of money on those machines, but my boyfriend was finally successful on winning a minion doll for his baby sister. It was cute haha. Overall, we had a lot of fun here and I seriously wished we had a place like this over here in Hawai’i LOL.

This place will be lucky to stay in business. Their staff is actively unfriendly and unhelpful. I was in the bar and it took me 15 minutes to get a beer and nobody would even take my food order. I could also never get a second beer. We were here for my daughters birthday party and the first person at the front counter was a royal b! tch. Bottom line is that we just paid a lot of money for piss poor service and a bad experience. Save your money and do something fun.

Had the best time at round1!!! Had the best customer service by one of the staff Alex. He helped us when one of the machine showed a error and took care of everything super fast and refunded our credits right away before I even had to ask. And my buddy is in love with one of the manager there.

The prices are pretty okay and they have all the newest games. It’ll be interesting to see how this place ages but the clientele is what you’d expect: ratchet and young. At least Gameworks cuts off all the kiddies at 9 and they have to leave. At this place you only need adult supervision and that is very much lacking. It’s not uncommon to have children running amok. The touchscreen everything makes me miss games that were more interactive. This isn’t really their fault but they could diversify with more old school arcade games. It also takes a million years to get your food so don’t come hungry especially since the quality is sub par. What you’d expect from an amusement place such as this one. I’m torn since it’s definitely in better shape than Gameworks but like I said, it’ll be interesting to see how this place ages. I think I still would rather go to Gameworks to get my subpar food and drinks. And also play some old school Jurassic Park.

An arcade where they have more than one claw machine and it’s filled with cute ass plush dolls? HELLYAS! I came here with a group for a friend’s birthday. Game card was super easy to purchase and they had a reloading machine(does not reload more than $ 20 for credit cards and does not dispense change if cash is used!) My friend wanted to play arcade games… who wants to play arcade games at an arcade? Pffffft!!! I ended up ditching them and camped out at the claw machine section. Now, ladies gents and everyone in between, playing the claw machine can get very expensive especially if you do not follow the«staff’s picture advice» posted on the corner of each machine. I learned the hard way. Seriously, just look at where they drew a circle on the picture and aim the claw to that point. It works! How do I know? Well I won not only once but twice!

I get to release my inner child when I come here! I freaking love it. They have an awesome variety of games. What I especially like is that they’re ticketed! Much more incentive to play since I can apply those tickets later for a cool prize. They also have a blacklit bowling alley which just looks so cool and karaōke rooms. I haven’t done neither of these things here, but I certainly plan to! The food is mediocre at best. Nothing special, it is just arcade food but kinda pricey too. They also have a bar that only serves beer. I hope they expand and have a full bar but maybe that won’t be a good idea if there are minors/children present. Speaking of that– after 12am or so, all minors need to be with accompanied by an adult who is 25+, and all 21+ get wristbands. As for the service for the food and bar areas? I think the staff could be a little friendlier. I am obsessed with their photobooths. They’re the ones you’ll most likely see in Asia, most likely in Japan. Big eyes, soft glowing skin, very kawaii. So much fun because you get to draw and add designs(kinda excessive though), and you get to take so many pictures!

Do NOT come here to Karaōke even tho it’s cheap! It’s $ 18 an hour and for good reason. None of the songs have copy right so the sounds and music doesn’t even sound like the original songs so it’s hard to sing along to a song you know when the beat is so off. It’s such a waste of money. Sounds like they put kids bop on and want you to sing along. Turning the vocal on made it even worst! Like really Vocal is suppose to help you sound better but in this case it sounds like your they got chruch chore helping you with the vocals. The rooms are not sound proof, so I can heard the other people sing in their room. I’m so piss and annoyed that I’m writing this review as we’re in the room trying to hurry and get our hour up. I always go to Round one for bowling and arcade, this is the first time I been here for karaōke. This place blows! Save your money and go to a legit Asian Karaōke place then this dump.

Omg Round 1 hahaha. Does anyone remember the old Silvercoin Arcade(RIP) in the old food court area? This place reminds me of that place just 100x bigger!!! I’m so glad to see that the entire space that Mervyn’s used to occupy is FINALLY being used and so many people are over at that end of the mall! I also never realized how big of a space the 2nd floor of Mervyn’s really was… Anyways there’s lots of things to do at round 1 — there’s a restaurant and bar, karaōke and bowling. I’ve been going lately just to play the arcade games. Like I said it reminds me of the times when my friends and I would go to Silvercoin and Gameworks. There’s your typical toy games(which interestingly, a toy is balanced on top of other toys and you think you can get the claw to get the toy but it’ll probably take you $ 100 to knock it down and win it), your typical arcade games to win tickets, other games from Japan, and shooting/driving games. For people like me, I love the purikura photobooths! It’s a great place to come and chill at but it can get super crowded with kids/teenyboppers/mall rats(aka my friends and I when we were young). I think after like 10pm on the weekends they limit who gets to come in. At least if the kids are getting to you, you can always grab a drink :)

This is a fun spot with a huge variety of activities! Bowling, billiards, karaōke rooms, all sorts of arcade games, multiple claw machines, separate room to redeem tickets(with detectors, cuz apparently people wanna steal prizes), photo booth, and a bar and some food options. When I first read about this place in the mall, wondering for a long time what they were doing with or building in this portion of the mall, I was concerned as to why they would think to put another bowling alley in the area. Given all those activities mentioned above, it makes sense now. Note that the popular claw machines can be difficult! I feel like more so than the ones I’ve seen; the ones here have some interesting design to them that seems to make it nearly impossible to get stuffed toys. I also like this place better than Lucky Strike(granted it doesn’t turn into a club late at night). It’s a larger space with a greater variety of games. Purchasing points went fine for us, and between two of us, we managed to play for about an hour or so with $ 20(casually, not rushing from one game to the next). They also have an option for unlimited games by the hour. I’d be interested in seeing how the karaōke reservations are, along with booking bowling. I do have to say, as other reviewers, mentioned that the staff may not be the most knowledgeable or customer service oriented. Nonetheless, that didn’t deter my first experience here.

This place Iiterally has everything! From bowling, pool tables, karaōke rooms, to lots of popular arcade games from Japan. Tons of UFO catchers with cute and good quality stuff animals(very similar to how it is in Japan). You can easily blow your points away with these UFO catcher machines, but they’re so fun! Their week day bowling are a good deal, $ 10.99 for unlimited bowl from 4pm-2am and they have a total of 14 lanes. If there’s a waiting list for bowling, then you will get 3 hours of bowl time from the time you start. We came there around 7pm on a Tuesday and the place was very noisy with ton of kids running around. One thing though is that their bar is not fully set up, they only have beer available at this point with no bartender either. I would recommend coming here during the day time to avoid the crazy crowd. Overall, I enjoyed this place and will come back with my family.

Claw machines are easily the fastest things that can toy with my heart. You spot something you want, try your hardest to get it, only to be left feeling sad and frustrated. But, when that one lucky try strikes you gold, it’s the greatest feeling ever. Round one entertainment just opened a location at Westfield Southcenter Mall. It’s right behind Seafood City. After going up the stairs, you’ll be welcome by all the arcade noise and lights. The place to purchase your game cards is on your direct left, while the bowling area is a little past the game card purchasing area. The bowling area looks smaller compared to most bowling alleys, but that’s possibly because this place encompasses bowling and arcade. Arcade wise, the more you load onto your card, the more bonus credit you will get. All games and claw machines vary in the number of credit they take. To get a game card, there is a $ 1 fee. From then on, you can use the same game card to reload and use it across round one entertainment locations. There is a very good selection of arcade games. Some are from Japan, while others are more American based. All the claw machines are stocked with plushies like Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, Domo and others. The UFO catchers are not the easiest thing to maneuver but you’ll get the hang of it eventually. It may take multiple tries to win something, or only one if you’re lucky and strategic! Service here is awesome. The people are monitoring the place and making sure everyone is doing well. They are willing to readjust the target plushie if you’re having a hard time trying to get it. They also offer tips as well. Many of the claw machines have a tip in the corner that tells you where you should aim to best obtain the plushie. The place has recently opened and so it is very clean as of now. The noise level is on the louder side, but that’s due to all the arcade games going at once. Reloading is very convenient. You can find little reloading machines that are super easy to use. They’re quick and efficient. Overall, I enjoyed being here and playing some arcade games and claw machines! The bowling alley was empty when we arrived so it seems like more people are fixated on the games. I’m hoping I’ll be back to play some more! For now, I’m happy with the plush my partner won for me.
