I got an Indian cookbook and tried a few recipes, like curry lamb and nann. Eh, they came out ok. The next day I happened to be in Tukwilla and stopped into this place to order a couple of takeout dinners. I noticed that a lot of Indians were eating lunch there-a good sign. Anyway I took the dinners home. Number one-the food is very spicy and fragrant. No need to put deodorizers in your car. Number two– the food(curry lamb, nann, and rice pudding) was very, very good. We decided that we were close with our home made recipe, but certainly not there. This restaurant gave us something to shoot for as we practice.

LUNCHBUFFET! THEWORSTIVEEVEREATEN! Literally… Came into this buffet due to Unilocal reviews… I just finished eating, I was in there a total of 30 minutes, this is by far the saddest buffet ever, there was like barely any food, and pans are not even full, there’s like 3 – 5 pieces… Like everything was so dry! … The spices??? Where’s the Indian spices? And for the tandoori chicken… Was that red dye? I don’t even know, everything was so bland… Watered down… Ugh. I’m so disgusted I wish I never ate here… There was literally no food!!! I’m left hungry… I can rant on and on about how bad everything was and why are they even in business??? But I am just going to go to another place to get something tasty… Even though it’s a buffet, it’s a waste of money where there was like no meat in the curry when there was suppose to be meat! Yuck! Desserts were old… Ugh!!! NEVERCOMINGBACK!!!’

Pabla is one of my favorite places for Indian food. This location in particular is my favorite. I was finally able to try the buffet last week while work was shut down for the week… and I was not disappointed. When I usually arrive here it’s later than the usual dinner time crowd of what seems to be 6−7pm. I’m here at 8pm and it’s very quiet. Like I could hear a pin drop kind of quiet. No worries — the food is always fresh. The buffet was varied and satisfied the carnivore and omnivore in me. From what it looks like the dishes rotate out daily. I was there when they had a childhood staple of mine on the buffet line — chicken curry. Not chicken tikka masal, not butter chicken, not korma, but just chicken curry. It was flavorful and lightly spiced. I got the kick which mellowed out and left a lovely warm taste on my palate. Their vegetarian curry packs quite a deceptive punch as did their other vegetarian options. When it comes to the dinner part for me, I prefer their chicken saag — the chicken is always moist and the spinach is delicately flavored. Other places use mustard leaves(and that is also tasty as well), but I think they use spinach and broccoli. As for appetizers, I have found I like their paneer pakora and their eggplant pakora. Parking is easier to find on the Jared’s side vs the thrift store side.

Meh. Ordered the butter chicken and it tasted like there was tons of ketchup in it. The garlic Naan was one of the worst I had. The server brought 2 glasses but only filled one with water. I had to ask twice for the water. I will not return.

This place survives because the Thai place, sushi place, Phở place, and even Jimmy Johns is busy. I went there because the well reviewed Thai place was packed. There is a reason Pabla India is empty. The buffet is limited and the service was slow. I ate about a half plate, then paid and left. The reason was the multiple, thick, black hairs in the food. I’m not a person who sends food back, but it is noted and we will never go back. If you end up in the strip mall and everywhere else is busy, do yourself a favor and wait. Don’t go to Pabla India Grill.

Went here for dinner tonight. Absolutely delicious. Get the Thali Plate. Totally worth it and you get a little bit of everything.

I really like the selection at the lunch buffet. I am a vegan, or at least trying to be one, and I found plenty on the buffet for me. As with many indian buffet that I have been to, I recommend getting there early for the freshest foods. Garlic Naan on the buffet line was very yummy and a nice added treat. Veggie pakora was perfect, crispy and well seasoned. I love the jeera aloo, but still a bit spicy for my weak pallet. Nothing fancy with the rice selection, fairly typical. Also the salad was a bit mundane, maybe a few extra veggies in there beyond carrots lettuce and cucumbers. In total, I would recommend giving them a try… happy dining :)

We are regulars at Pabla Indian Grill on Southcenter Parkway. This cuisine is typical of Punjab Province. They have the best dal makhani and the chicken tandoori which is tangy with a hint of BBQ sauce. The chicken korma, and kofta dilhabar, are both exquisite and my favorites. The lunch buffet is very affordable.

This was an awful experience. I should have known based on the fact that the Thai place next door was packed and there were three people in here but I was pressed for time. Their food was bland and cold. I could detect no spice and it was very bony with little meat. I was shocked that so much of their food was filled with milk. They didn’t even have a lunch menu, just a bland, unappetizing lunch buffet that was NOT worth the 11 bucks. Perhaps their dinner service is better when the food is fresh and hopefully hot, but I was shocked and appalled by the food here.

Food was adequate but not much variety for a buffet.

We actually came to this restaurant by process of elimination. The Japanese restaurant in the plaza was actually the reason why we were there. But without reservations, the wait would be too long(we had a flight to catch). The Thai restaurant also had a long wait. The next highest rated restaurant on Unilocal with people actually eating inside was this restaurant. We placed our order almost immediately after being seated, however we waited 45 minutes for our first dish to arrive — naan! I actually had to pester the server to ask when our food was going to be out as I had seen people who were seated after us be served their dishes. Kitchen management? I also let the server know that we had a flight to catch. We ended up gobbling our dishes in less than 30 minutes which is too fast considering the volume of food we had. The food was okay, but due to the(lack of) service I will not be coming back.

Wonderful complex flavors, mild spices, generous portions. The plain naan was a little generic tasting but that is my only complaint. The sweets selection is to die for! I highly recommend the sweet lassi, the pakoras, chicken tikka masala and the ladu.

Great food and great setting. If the owner can be more considerate of what customer need and help saving money by ordering adequate amount of food I would make this a five star

Decided to eat here because it shares the name of my favorite Indian restaurant in Renton across from Fred Meyer. This was at dinner. I ordered the Pabla shahi paneer, tandoori chicken and naan. Basically my favorite items. The paneer dish had a very strange gelatinous quality about it that was off putting and the tandoori chicken tasted really sweet. Like regular BBQ sauce. It didn’t taste bad but I wanted tandoori chicken not Americanized BBQ chicken. The naan was perfect and soft. The service was great and my waitress was really nice but I definitely won’t be coming back.

I found this place after discovering the sushi place down the lane was jam packed. I’m on the hunt for really great Indian places so I was more than happy to try them out. While the 2 restaurants in the immediate area were completely packed with people waiting outside, Pabla India Grill was almost dead. The food is Americanized, «hot» is more of a weak medium. The eggplant pakoras were quite good & nicely prepared. The mushroom matter wasn’t anything to write home about, but tasty. I definitely wasn’t crazy about the aloo kulcha, too little mango/spice. Overall the place was clean, but the table right in front of me was being used to get dirty dishes out of the way. Instead of taking the dishes back to the kitchen with him, I got the privilege of looking at them all night and watching them pile up. Service is super slow, but friendly. A lot of the wait time we experienced was because the waiter was chatting with other tables at length. Based on other customers it seems like you’re treated well if you’re a regular; I don’t feel that I can endure the kind of service I received enough times to get into their clique. My hunt for the best Indian restaurant continues…

One of my families favorite places to eat. The lunch buffet is always good but any time of day is great. It’s always pretty quiet there, even when the surrounding restaurants are filled, but don’t be put off by that. This small, family run business always provides great food and they are very friendly. I’ve not had a bad meal here and we come pretty regularly. My little kids love eating here and it’s their favorite place to eat out.

The non-buffet buffet. We came in for the lunch buffet around 1:45 for a late lunch. It was a little quiet considering it was MLK day and the other restaurants in the plaza were busy. Didn’t think much of it since we have been here before. Got our plates. Went hunting for food. Not much in the warmers. Got a few items and thought we’d wait for more. Other customers trickle in. A few items are added to the buffet warmers. Got another plate with a few items. Still waiting for more. Naan is replenished, but wait– four pieces? Is there more coming? Nope. Same story with the rest of the food. Other customers were getting annoyed, too. We ended up as the last customers in the place. Water was refilled once. What was everyone doing? Certainly not cooking or checking on us. Sad, sad, sad. I guess it’s phở or Thai next time I’m hungry and in the area.

For the buffet this is a great place. The dinner menu is even better. Nice people and mango lassies make this a bi weekly stop for me. Taj and Kingfisher beers are ice cold and the Vindaloos are face meltingly hot.(if ordered that way) Left over Indian food is the ultimate in left overs so order extra.

Very good Indian food and nice people. My son was very curious about some of tne Indian sweets they were making during our last visit. The lady who was working gave him a couple free samples, which I thought was very nice. We usually start with vegetable samosas for me and my wife, and chicken pakoras for our son(his main course). Their samosas are delicious, especially with the chutneys. The pakoras are some of the best I’ve had, light snd crispy with zero greasiness. For our main course, we get tandoori chicken, lamb rogan josh, and an order of naan. The food here is absolutely delicious.
