I take my dog to day camp here and he loves it. He’s always excited to get in the car because he knows we’re headed to camp! He even starts dancing when we get into the parking lot. He loves the staff and is always so happy to see them, and he’s super tired afterwards (which is not an easy thing to do) so I know he’s getting a lot of good play time in. The staff even helped work on basic commands with him when he was a puppy which I thought was really nice of them, since they didn’t have to do that for me. I have never had a problem with my him getting sick, and he’s at the hotel 2 – 3 times a week. Can’t say enough good things about day camp and the hotel.

Excellent grooming job on my 2 Schnauzers, & the gals working were very personable & friendly. I highly recommend this place: A really refreshing change of pace from the other grooming places I’ve tried recently. I wish they ALL could be this great, I’d have saved myself a ton of money. Try them out, you will agree!

Monique did wonders on my husky. He hates the groomers, the blow dryer and likes to bite. It’s been hard to get him clean sometimes. But Monique was fantastic. He looks like he could be in Hollywood. She did a wonderful job!

Jaclyn P. Was my Llhaso apso’s groomer this A.M. my dog is very skittish, and when he was done, not only did he look great, but more importantly, he was so happy. I look forward to entrusting his grooming needs to Petsmart. Excellent care for Ruby puts my mind at ease. Thank you Jaclyn P., and the rest of the grooming staff.

The past two times I’ve taken my dog to the petshotel, she has come home sick. The second to last time, she came home with a growth on her nose that I had to pay $ 150 to get checked out and am going to be paying $ 325 to get removed. The last time, she came home with kennel cough. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!!!

Even though we have tons of pet stores around our area, my boyfriend and I LOVE going here. Not only was their staff very informative about all their products, we feel like we can find everything that we need here.
We’re also obsessed with their groomers! They were able to squeeze us in for a quick bath and cut an hour before closing. Stephanie did a wonderful job with our dog and she seemed like she really cared for her, unlike some other groomers I’ve been to.

My pup stayed here overnight for boarding. Good experience! However, we booked an exit bath and nail trim for him, not worth it. Nails were still long, just like he hadn’t been cut. But he had a good bath though :)

We dropped off our puppy for a 2 night stay at the pets hotel. I thought everything was great until on Monday when he started coughing, sneezing & got a runny nose. Now I’m taking my puppy to the vet because I’m pretty sure he has kennel cough. I called Petsmart to ask if anyone reported sickness or what their protocol is since kennel cough is so contagious. No protocol & they don’t do anything about it… The pet hotel is a nice service for a last minute boarding option, but be prepared for your dog to come home sick!!!
Update: my dog has either pneumonia or canine flu. STAY AWAY FROM THE HOTEL!!! We are now looking at a possible hospitalization with IV antibiotics and an expensive flu test if he doesn’t show improvement. A 2 night stay has turned into a nightmare & over $ 500 in vet bills so f

This location is horrible to their employees. Especially to their hard working employees that battle a life with medical conditions.

We brought our dog to the pet hotel for a day stay. I am so impressed. My dog is very fearful of people which can make her aggressive. The staff was so patient and quick to adapt to her needs. When we picked her up she was having so much fun she didn’t even greet us! The staff gave us a hand written report of her day, letting us know how she got along with the other dogs, if she ate, and if she did her business. We will definitely use this service again.

I usually go to Federal way branch, come here if I happend to be in this area. 2 times out of 4 times I came here for the prescription cat food they were out of stock. One time i was there 10am sunday morning. Saw only one cashier and one more staff on duty. I needed help to see if they have any stock hidden at the back. I was in a hurry. Waited for 10 minutes and left without a purchase.
I also prefer Banfield in Federal way. When i brought in my cat to Federal way branch for check-​up, they offered me the pet plan. They did not do that to my second cat in Tukwila and I ended up paying more.

The store as a whole is average. Good selection, average customer service. Prices are hit-​or-​miss depending on what you’re buying. I don’t buy dog food here because it’s about $ 4 more than other places, but I do like the toy and treat selection. The store is cleaner than it has been in the past, so that’s great.
As for the groomers? My dog goes elsewhere now after our last experience. The last time I went in the groomer ended up hitting my dog’s quick. I understand that it happens sometimes, it’s not a huge deal. She ran in the back to get the quickstop (why she didn’t have it with her in the first place I don’t know) and applied it to the nail. Crisis averted.
Now, maybe I’m really weird, but if I accidentally hurt an animal I make sure to stop and give them some love as an apology to make sure they ultimately have a positive experience. This lady didn’t apologize to me or my dog. At that point she completely refused to make eye contact, rushed us out, and didn’t even finish the job! There were 7 nails left for me to do when I got home. This situation couldn’t have been handled any worse and will never bring my dog in again.

I took my 6 year-​old American Staffordshire Terrier to the Pet Hotel for the first time overnight. I wish there was a way to see her through an app/​camera combo or something because I bought the busy bundle package and have proof if they actually gave it to her so it would be nice to get notes on when she got what treats and had her play time. But I think she had a good time because she was very happy both going into the hotel and leaving and seemed to really like the staff. She didn’t show any signs of being frightened or nervous. The staff seem to really enjoy the pets there too and have a cute story about each one almost it seems. I would definitely recommend this pet hotel again and will use it again myself.

Everyone there is always so nice & the staff in the pets hotel always treat my dog like one of their own. I definitely know my dog is very much taken care of when he goes in for a doggy day camp.

Fantastic customer service! Saleswoman was knowledgable and recommended products that fit the specific needs of our pet.

Do not take your dog for grooming here. Trust me.
Horrible service. Rude groomer. Said she couldn’t cut my dog like the picture because of different hair… (Exact same dog in photo as in shop??) Not before of course because I would have RAN out of there.
Asked her to please fix and she wouldn’t do, instead offered a comp. What? My dog has to stay like this??? Jerks!
Then the store manager was rude too. «What do you want me to do?»
1. FIX IT… Duh!
2. Train your staff.
3. Use an appropriate tone when dealing with customers.
They didn’t even clean in her ears! Totally filthy. The hair between the pads on her feet not cut… She was supposed to be 1″ all around. She was not evenly cut. Some parts she was longer than 2″!

I tried to return a pet-​hair grooming comb that was a gift to PURCHASE the larger model. At first, the manager told the girl at the register, over the radio, to just tell me no, but I asked to see the manager. When she emerged from the back room, she looked like she had just woken up from a nap.
She absolutely refused to help me — said under no exceptions can she exchange without a receipt — even a gift. Sorry to interrupt your nap, blondie!
I’m somewhat amazed at how many people board their cats and dogs here — it’s not cheap!
Always look for the sale tags unless you HAVE to get something that day.

I wasn’t so impressed with the grooming service. I took my gsd pup with a coupon I had where if it’s younger than 5 months it’s free. So I scheduled an appointment for bath, nail clipping, cleaning ear and I guess they give you a complimentary bandana. I took him there and they told me it will be about 1 – 2 hours. I drop him off and wait for their phone call. After 2 hours I call to see if he’s ready so I can pick him up. They apologize that it’s been busy so it will be 20 more min. After 30 min I don’t get a call so I go there.
He’s clean but I don’t see the complimentary bandana but whatev. When I bring him back I’ve noticed that they didn’t even clean his ears. I felt that because I had a first time free bath package coupon they didn’t put any effort into cleaning him. How could it take that long to clean the dog? He didn’t need any brushing he has short hair and the phamplet they gave me said they didn’t need to brush him. But they state that his ears we’re clean when it wasn’t.
Not impressed. I am not taking him to petsmart grooming in the future.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE STEPHANIE B. She’s been cutting my dog Howie’s hair since we got him which was almost 6 years ago. She does an amazing job. Never disappoints. Plus she is quick too. I don’t know how she does it, but she delivers. Got a puppy (well he’s 1 now) and also take him there. I don’t even need to tell her how I want them groomed. Just make an appt and drop them off and when I come pick them up later in the day, they are looking cute as hell. I’ve gotten so many compliments from friends and strangers. Even recommended like 4 – 6 dogs to her. Not sure if most of them actually go, but it feels good to recommend and have them tell her that Howie and Chauncey told them to go there.
If you are ever in need of a groomer, go and ask for Stephanie B. There’s two Stephanie’s I believe so you gotta tell them the B lol. Tell her Howie and Chauncey recommended you. She’ll know who they are. Btw, Howie is in my profile picture. That’s with his hair groomed almost 2 weeks ago
It’s not just Stephanie B who’s awesome. Emily is good too. I believe I had her cut Howies hair before. I’m just used to Stephanie B and how she cuts my dogs hair so I stick with her. Kinda like our personal hair stylist. You find someone you like and you stick with them. I hope someone gives her a chance!

This review is specifically for the doggy hotel.
I must say, this place is a hidden gem.
At first, the fact that Petsmart is a giant corporate chain may be a turn off– it certainly was for me.
But I had a 7 day vacation to go to, and a french bulldog that couldn’t come along.
A friend of mine recommended this place.
Let me first say this– I have never used a kennel or doggy hotel service for my dog before. He has basically come along everywhere I’ve been.
And if there are any frenchie owners out there, you guys all know how obsessive we are with our furred friends :)
The staff here was great from the get go– they made sure I was familiar with the schedule my dog would be following each day, and they asked me thorough questions about his feeding habits, anxiety issues, etc. I left the doggy hotel feeling pretty confident that my boy was in good hands.
Even still, during my trip, I worried. How is he doing? Is he coping well with other dogs? Is he eating his food and being regular with his potty? I called up the hotel to check up on everything, and they were very courteous in giving me updates on my bulldog.
When my trip was over, I could not wait to go and pick up my dog! Even before unpacking, I got in my car and rushed to this place to get him.
Upon greeting him, my bulldog didn’t want to come home!
Instead, he wanted to go back in to the day camp area to play some more…
Again, you frenchie owners out there know how attached those little fellas get to their owners. For him to react this way was very abnormal, and totally unexpected (I thought he’d do back flips upon seeing me).
Needless to say, my feelings were quite hurt by this… but at the same time, I was very pleased to know that my dog had a great time here.
Without hesitation, I would bring him here again.
