Never had a problem with this storage spot or any of the other locations I have rented from. Our family has been going here for years! 10 plus years I would say. Why I feel safe bringing my belongings here is because you need a code to enter and leave, and they have cameras. Onsite managers are very friendly, and they live on the premises. Processing your payments here is onsite, but are very slow at it. takes like 20 min! Lol. no worries.the safety makes up for it.

I showed up @ 6:45pm to drop off a small load of boxes before I could enter my access code to drive into the mini storage area an extremely rude older man screamed out from the speaker WE’RECLOSED twice. IFYOUDONTWANTTOBEDISRESPECTEDTAKEYOURBUSINESSELSEWHERE!!!

If I was you I would not take your stuff here at all to any Darrells mini storage. They will sell your stuff very quickly. I was a customer there and paid quarterly I was a bit behind and they auctioned off all of my equipment and tools. They never called they said they sent something in the mail nothing certified I would be very careful and steer clear of this company and their business practices.

IFYOUCAREABOUTQUALITYCUSTOMERSERVICEDONOTRENTHERE The couple that works and or lives on the premises are horrible to their customers. I’ve never once seen them smile. Today, the bald man with a white goatee and glasses took my payment. I asked him two questions, both of which seemed to inconvenience him to the fullest. Each time I asked something he’d bark at me, «what?!» Like all exasperated, like I’d just asked him to run a marathon across the Mojave. All I wanted to know was how to make payments online as it is a new service. I’ve been in customer service for 15 years and walking into this place is like walking into hell, by customer care standards. I really feel like they hate their jobs, lives, and especially us annoying paying patrons. That’s just the one guy though… Let me tell you about The Beast. There’s an older lady with short curly hair, smokers voice, and full upper dentures. How do I know about the dentures, you ask? Well, if you go in and make a payment it takes her a minimum of 10 minutes and she pops, literally POPS her dentures in and out with her tongue THEENTIRETIME. It’s disgusting and her attitude is even worse than the other guy. I got so fed up with making payments in person, that I started making payments over the phone. Well, for the month of April, I called in and The Beast answered… I tell her my c.c. is on file and ask her to charge it. I gave her all my info… she puts me on hold for 11 minutes… only to come back and say they don’t have my c.c. on file. I asked how could that be, this was, at least, the 8 or 9th consecutive payment I’d made by phone… she says she doesn’t know, she’ll have to look for it but I would need to come in each time in the future because«over the phone payments are just a one-time courtesy» which is an out right LIE. Since I don’t live in town, I called back two days later on a Wednesday and another gal answered the phone, this lady is SUPER sweet. I think she only fills in for the gruesome twosome on their days off. I told her everything The Beast had told me but the nice lady had no idea why I was treated the way I was or why I was lied to. She found my c.c. in my file, exactly where it should have been, and processed my payment, no problem. I’ve now invested about 30 minutes and downloaded an app I don’t need just to write this post as a way to vent about these two wretched people. They make you feel so crappy and uncomfortable on a personal level, I just feel like someone needs to know.

The worst place to store your goods in EXISTENCE. These people are really nasty, rude and insinuating, to the point of just absolute harassment. Let me give you some examples: 1. pulled up to the gate with the keypad(to open the gate), parked my car and looked for my code slip. One of the guys in his little golf cart pulls up to me and says, «Well what are you waiting for?! Put in your code! I’m waiting!» There was nobody behind me or in front of me. HOWRUDE — absolutely no tact at all. He waited there until I successfully opened that gate and then just sat there and eyed me with a sneer as I pulled in. WHY?! Why is that even necessary?! 2. Went to go make a payment for my monthly rent for my unit. I work in Bakersfield, and live in Tulare(I know, horrible idea). When I get back in town, it’s about 6:30PM. Well, the day came to make the payment for the unit so I drove right to the mini-storage place in Tulare, pulled in, its about 6:40PM at the time, I walk in and said, «I would like to make a payment for my unit please.» the lady at the desk just looked up at me and said prudently, «EXCUSEMEBUTWECLOSEIN20MINUTES!» and? so that means you close in 20 minutes, I’m sorry but until it hits 7:00PM you’re still in business! Do not refuse a paying client!!! She eventually, reluctantly took my payment, handed to me and just let me go. Seriously? Is that even necessary. They way they acted was just absolutely inappropriate, especially for business hours. 3. One day I arrived back to Tulare at 6:45PM and I absolutely HAD to grab something out of the storage unit before the heatwave hit in the valley, and this was the only day of the week that I was actually going to be in town. I had a precious record collection in storage(not stored by me but by family accidentally) and I had to grab it. I pulled up to the gate at 6:45ish and they told me TOTURNAROUND! I pleaded with them that I had to get something very quickly out of storage and was willing to negotiate something with them. They refused and told me to «git», well guess what. My record collection of 20 years is ruined, all 150 vinyls were warped and melted. DONOTRENTFROMTHESEPEOPLE! They’re awful human beings with an even more awful service. The people who run that location are nasty, mean and horribly lazy.
