The blue gill grill is always a lot of fun! The atmosphere is very relaxed. Open air, almost feels like a beach bar. The food is good and service is pretty fast, considering how busy they are on the weekends. Last night at my table we had peel and eat shrimp, seafood platter, fried shrimp, and an oyster po boy. We all shared, and the food was all very good!

My husband, daughter and I ate at the Blue Gill Grill yesterday. The Seafood Basket, Catfish Basket and Chicken Tender Basket was delicious. The service was excellent.

Don’t waist your time. The catfish platter was terrible. What kind of place serves seafood/fish and don’t have slaw. I could have read the newspaper thru the fish it was so thin. My hamburger was marginal at best! I have two good things to say. It was fun to feed the fish and the beer was cold ! I hate to give a privately owned place such a bad review… But don’t go there ! We won’t be back unless you want to feed the fish the good you just paid. $ 13.95 for.

Great lunch today at the Bluegill Grill, an outstanding place to grab a bite to eat on Tim’s Ford Reservoir. It was Monday at Noon, so the Bluegill wasn’t busy at all. We started off with the Beer Cheese for an appetizer — yes, it was tasty, but I think it is called Beer Cheese because the more you eat of this cheese, the more beer you will need to consume ! Salty tasting. My fiancée went with a Shrimp basket for her lunch, I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy sandwich with basket(fries, macaroni & hushpuppies). Our meals were pretty good, the hoagie roll for my sandwich was quite long, so the many carp, geese, and ducks got a bit of a lunch also. I have to say, thought the hushpuppies were outstanding, crispy on the outside. I’m not a big fan of hushpuppies, but I loved these. Macaroni cup that came in my basket was also excellent. Service was very good too, our waitress Arielle was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming back soon for another meal at the Bluegill Grill on the lake, we’ll have to do it soon as it closes in mid-September for the season.

Great atmosphere! Amazing view while you eat. Food was average but no complaints and service was good. Worth the drive.

My third visit in three years. I always make the trip from the other side of the lake to dock for lunch at this really cool floating grill. They extended the outside patio and even in the summer its pleasant with the covered patio and fans to keep cool. The outdoor bar made out of a boat cockpit is really cool. The food was however was really underwhelming. It really is hit or miss at this place. The fried seafood plate(oysters, shrimp and the forgetful others) was just disgusting and so was the puddle of grease they were served with on the bottom of the plate. The shrimp poboy was just ok and the cheeseburger was actually quite nice. The fries came out almost cold but the hushpuppies were great… and I hate hush puppies! So many ups and downs. Its not too bad a place to grab a beer and burger after boating all day but I prefer the Hard Dock Café at Tims Ford Marina.

Good food on the lake. What could be better? Try the beer cheese.

Had dinner at the Blue Gill Grill and it was rockin! Literally, this place is built on a dock on Tims Ford lake. The scenery is awesome, the food is even better! I’ve been a fan for years, and especially love«Special Night» which is Wednesdays… AYCE cajun boiled shrimp! Great place to take the kids, and they always love feeding the variety of fish that swim up and beg for your leftovers! A+++ in my book
