Super clean, quaint, quiet. We have NOTHING bad to say! Breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable and quiet, and the location was SPECIAL. A few items to note: the bed was VERY high off the ground – not for anyone with difficulty getting in and out of bed. And breakfast is usually served all at one time. It isn’t close to restaurants or shops, so if you want peace, this is the place.

As most people know, with a B&B it can often be hit or miss. My girlfriend and I were visiting Lynchburg and wanted to stay somewhere local instead of heading back to Shelbyville for the night. We called the local B&B’s and almost all were full. My last call was to the Greenrose of Raus. With five rooms available, I was a bit apprehensive thinking that it would be too noisy with all the commotion. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Firstly, hats off to Pat! She was extremely warm and welcoming of us even though we called at 4PM on a Friday afternoon exclaiming that she had plenty of room and couldn’t wait for our arrival. She truly is the essence of southern charm and hospitality! After dinner in Lynchburg, we made the trek out to the home. Pat was there waiting for us and happily showed us around all the while ensuring we were comfortable. Our room was The Bedford. Perfect for a couple! Cozy and with the right touches to make it feel like home! We really enjoyed taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the home and got settled right in. Pat chatted us up for a bit while the other guests were out at dinner. She keeps many photos of before and after the home was turned into a B&B and they’re fascinating to look through as is her book she keeps on the demographics of the people that have stayed at the home. The sleep was peaceful and without odd noises or paranormal activity(sorry ghost hunters!). We both awoke with the smells of coffee and breakfast creeping into the upstairs room(one room is downstairs with the remaining all upstairs). After getting ready(all rooms have their own full bathrooms!), we headed downstairs to find breakfast being prepared by Pat while she and her husband Billy chatted the guests up. Once she was ready to serve, we were herded into the dining room where we found personalized magnolia leaves from a tree on the property with the guest’s names on them marking our seating spaces. What a unique touch! The breakfast was incredibly delicious and the discussion lively. Turns out many of us in the house had more in common than we realized. My girlfriend and I were from the furthest away so we thought we’d feel out of place amongst the rest of the group who were all from the south. Once again, my preconceived notions were wrong. Seeing the home in the beauty of the morning sunlight was a real treat and made it hard to pack up and leave, but alas, we needed to hit the road. Pat was gracious right up until the end and I assured her we’d return again in the future… but for a longer stay! In short, if you’re looking for a clean, quiet, beautiful B&B in middle Tennessee, you absolutely cannot go wrong with the Greenrose of Raus. And while we didn’t get a chance to meet Jeannie, I’m certain she’s just as sweet as Pat!

If I could give this B&B 10 stars I would! Hands down… AMAZING! Pat & Jeannie are the most welcoming of hosts! They are a wonderful representation of southern hospitality as is their beautiful B&B! They go out of their way to make you feel warm & welcome. The house is absolutely beautiful! The property is so peaceful and relaxing! The best part of our entire TN vacation was sitting on the front porch, on the swing, having a glass of wine while watching fire flies while listening to the crickets. SO relaxing! We stayed in the GORGEOUS«Prince Room» which is fit for a prince! The bed is HUGE and very comfortable. The bathroom is adorable. Its just perfect! Pat made us a wonderful 5-Star breakfast consisting of bacon-egg«muffins», fruit, yogurt with granola & fruit, coffee, and juice. The breakfast is served with silver utensils, charger plates, and everything to make you feel extra fancy! I feel sorry for the surrounding B&Bs in the area because The GreenRose B&B serves as great competition! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!!

This place is a Must. Stayed in the Prince room and had to either climb the steps or jump into the perfect king bed. Pat is the epitome of Southern hospitality. Did I say she can cook? Her table was set to the T and her food was hot. Do not miss this place!!!

This place really IS as good as it gets! First of all, it’s a great place to stay if you kind of want to be in the ‘middle’ of the attractions in the area(Jack Daniels, George Dickel, Tullahoma, Tim’s Ford, Winchester, Bell Buckle) But that isn’t the reason I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast. I would recommend it because the house is like something from a dream, the owners are the epitome of Southern Hospitality, and the area is as scenic and as isolated as it gets. That’s right… There is a horse farm next door but that is it! You will not hear a plane, train, or traffic ever out here. Look out any window and you will see those beautiful Tennessee rolling hills. You are greeted very warmly upon entry either by Mrs. Jeanie Williams or Mrs. Pat Cox. Both are extremely kind and delightful hostesses. One of the hostesses will stay in the cottage behind the house so you will have the whole grand old 1905 farmhouse to yourself, but she will be available if you need her. The beds in each room are extremely comfortable, and the house is decorated with antiques and in taste. Your hostess will give you and the other guests a choice on what time you would like breakfast, and the next day they will make you an awesome breakfast! Ours was sausage muffins, praline french toast, perfectly scrambled eggs, sausage patties, fresh fruit and coffee. There are also fresh flowers on the table. There are many small details that make it extra special. As for the breakfast itself, It was absolutely delicious and worth the price alone! Speaking of price… It is VERY reasonable with the 4 upstairs rooms going at 100 dollars a night, and the larger room downstairs at 125 a night plus tax. I was so sad to leave when we did, but I was also excited as I knew that we would be back many MANY times!
