I hate it, absolutely hate it, when a business makes you feel like you’re not worthy of their time. This is exactly how I would sum up Austin Bean. I contacted them the first time last fall about remodeling my master bathroom; I received a reply back with my name spelled wrong and a request that I contact them another time. So I waited until the spring and contacted them again. The office manager emailed me back asking about the specifics of my bathroom and if I had other projects that I would like to have done. I replied back with a list that included my large guest bathroom, basement, and backyard that I want to be more accessible for entertaining. Nothing to skimp at in my opinion. I was informed the following week that my home projects didn’t make the cut. As stated by my «rejection» email, they«prefer to do full home remodels». I.E. my home was not of their caliber. So, to any other design firms out there that would like to work on a 1929 home in a well established Tulsa neighborhood, contact me. Just please don’t act like a snobby mean girl who tells the new kid you can’t sit with her. Austin Bean has some great work and a style I love; I’m not about to criticize either of those, but the attitude presented as being too good for«meager» remodels is deplorable.
