Unimpressed with the quality of the food for the price. They seem to think just because their red sauce is chunky, that makes it authentic. It was very bland though. We found ourselves adding salt, pepper, etc to try and make it decent. Don’t recommend the lasagna or the linguini. Caesar salad was great and so was the service though.

I have been meaning to try Delesandro’s for years. I have always known about it but just never went. My husband and I decided to try it out for valentines day! We made a reservation for a later time because that is all that they had available but when we got there only about 5 tables were occupied. We were offered a high table or booth. Since I am kind of short, I usually go for the booth. The booth wasn’t really that comfortable but I am not one to judge a restaurant by how comfortable the seating is. We were sat by the most obnoxious table in the restaurant. It wasn’t just the table but the couple at the bar that they conversed with the whole time. They honestly should have just joined together instead of yelling across to each other because my husband and I couldn’t hear each other. Not the restaurants fault but it put a damper on our visit. Our server was very attentive and friendly. My water never ran out. We were served a basket of bread and some butter. We decided to order the asparagus as an appetizer. It was amazing! And the balsamic on the asparagus was really good to dip the bread in. For dinner my husband ordered their famous dish, the swordfish piccata! It was amazing and the portion was huge! The $ 28(I think) price tag is high but reasonable for a very generous serving of pasta and fish. I think next time we will order that and split it. I ordered the Oliva Olio it was simple and good but I found needed a little bit of pepper. And I wish it had more parsley but that is just personal preference. At the end of the meal we were served chocolate covered strawberries which I am usually not a fan of but they dipped them in white chocolate which was so much better than the usually dark or milk chocolate! The menu is not large which is always a good signed because that means that can put more focus on what there offer. I can see why the restaurant has been around for so long. I would love to go back when another time and hopefully be able to hear myself think. I want to try their lemon cello which I have heard is great.

Hubby & I detoured from our Friday night route to downtown once I mentioned Dalesandro’s. We’ve been meaning to eat there, quite frankly, since young Dalesandro was in school @ Cascia Hall w/our son. Early, as usual, we popped by slightly before their opening hour of 6:00. The hostess seemed a tad flummoxed by our arrival, but graciously seated us immediately wherever we wanted in the empty restaurant. It’s a very pleasant smallish room with an uptown, neighborhood feel. In warmer weather I’d love to try their patio. Our waitress, Amy, & her follower, Rachael came along soon. Amy couldn’t have been more knowledgeable about the menu & wine list. Both of which, IMHO, are pretty small. We chose to pass up appetizers & salads, knowing the entrées would be quite enough. But I was starving & Amy provided a basket of bread tout de suite! The slices of lovely fresh bread were huge, however, I take a dim view of butter in foil packets. As I unwrapped a couple, hubby requested olive oil. Amy returned w/a nice bowl of balsamic & oil infused with many herbs. Quite good. Our entrees arrived piping hot. The carbonara for hubby & lasagne for me. Amy had warned their«red» sauce was pretty spicy. I loved it! Loads of peppers, ricotta, mushrooms, sausage, tomatoes, onions & fluffy noodles. But mine also had something(see pix please) rather hard in it; like woody asparagus. The carbonara was bacony with peas, mushrooms, basil & pancetta in cream sauce, topped w/sliced Roma tomatoes & Romano. Hubby loved it. My bite was quite good! I love food that stays hot. Pasta so often doesn’t. But theirs did! We didn’t have the Caesar, but the way people have described it here does not sound like an actual Caesar. Regardless, it would be hard to beat the Caesar salad as presented by the Celebrity Club. But Dalesandro’s must be doing something right based on their longevity & continually packed house. It sure filled up fast on our Friday night. Couples eating at the bar, parties filling up the tables, a great cross section of patrons, always a good sign.

Just ok… the food quantity was very generous, but the tastiness didn’t warrant the cost. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu and drink list were minimal and limited. Only three appetizers, none of which sounded appealing to me. There were six or seven entrees. I had the carbonara, and it was garnished with far too much black pepper for my liking. We split bread pudding for dessert and again the serving size was plentiful but it wasn’t exceptional by any means. The bread was yummy as was their Cesar salad(not a traditional Cesar dressing). It was/is definitely worth trying, but I doubt I would return. The food simply wasn’t outstandingly memorable in my opinion.

Okay. So I have always wanted to try this place as I have read such great reviews here on Unilocal about how great it was. To be honest, it is, in my opinion mediocre at best. Yes, the location and patio are great! The décor is reminiscent of an eatery in NYC. The service is/was great! Oh! And the bread is great too! Now, those were the good things. The not so good things? The food… unfortunately. Maybe we all ordered the wrong things from the limited menu. However all five of my dining companions said that their food was mediocre at best. And all were in agreement that the caesar salad saturated in too much wine vinegar dressing was just not edible. I ordered the potato soup which came in a huge bowl enough for 6 people. It was so bland and basically seemed like a bunch of potatoes and stale chewy sausage floating around in a warm milky broth. Yuck-i sent it away which I never do and hare doing, but trust me folks it was nasty. So, 3 stars for nice ambiance and service. However, based upon my experience I won’t be rushing back as this place was just mediocre.

I haven’t been back to Dalesandro’s since my first visit, but Italian sounded good so we wanted to go back. This was a much better experience than our last time. We went fairly early and that allowed us to beat the crowd. The restaurant was starting to fill as we were finishing. There also seemed to be much better staffing because there were multiple servers and ours(Jonathan I think? sorry…), was very quick and friendly. The food was as amazing as last time, if not better.

Great food. Pricey, but worth it. They made me pay $ 2 for a club soda so I’m a little pissed. But go Athletics, you know?

Wow, I’d heard this place was good and it did not disappoint! I had the pesto pasta with the mushrooms and it was delicious. The mushrooms were just a little bit spicy and were an excellent addition. I managed to steal a little bit of my date’s carbonara and man, that was even better! I don’t remember if it was pancetta or just thick cut bacon, but either way it was excellent. As for dessert, the bread pudding was to die for, and I don’t even like bread pudding. An excellent meal all around. I will definitely be going back! Our waitress was great and everyone working there was friendly and pleasant. A little pricey, but that portion was more than just one meal. My to-go box was full, and so was I.

It’s always a great dining experience at Dalesandro’s. The service is nice & friendly. And the prices are reasonable for the potions they serve. Everything I’ve tried here is quite tasty. But, I especially love the lasagna. They also serve an amazing Caesar salad accompanied by a basket of fresh bread. The next time you’re in the mood for quality Italian cuisine, do yourself a favor & give them a try.

Amazing, my late friend Eddie B., a bon vivant and gourmet, always told me this was his favorite Italian restaurant. I ordered his favorite dishes, the Carpaccio and the Swordfish Piccata, both amazing! I love this part of town when I get around here from my normal perch around South Tulsa. Go next door to Vintage for a night cap!

Such a nice place! Although seating was full it didn’t feel packed and the servers were top shelf. Very professional staff and family owned too! The swordfish was amazing but I really liked the meatballs and marinara. I really can’t say enough about this place. Will go back but next time I want only the caesar salad and a table full of antipasto and meatballs!

I love this restaurant. We recently relocated from NYC and this restaurant could compete with any Italian restaurant there. I like that it’s noisy, it reminds me of restaurants in midtown. Highly Recommend the swordfish. Only $ 28!!! Yum.

1 star should not be given and I do not do it lightly. The food is good but the attitude is one that thinks the customer is doing them a favor by doing business with them. I simply wanted to make a take out order on a Friday evening. I was informed they would NOT take the order over the phone, I had to come to the restaurant and go to the bar– then I could place my order. I asked a second time to be clear and they were adamant. We ate elsewhere and will continue to do so. The only reason I can think for such a policy is to try to drive drink sales or they are afraid of orders not being picked up. The first reason is understandable but overbearing on the customer. The second could easily be addressed by taking a credit card if it presents such a great risk; a risk I doubt because I have not had such treatment from numerous other restaurants in town. What happened to attempting to please the customer rather than imposing rules for your own benefit or desire???

If you are looking for superb Italian in Tulsa, you will find it at Dalesandro’s. The restaurant itself is beautiful and they have a spacious patio area. As many have mentioned, the Caesar Salad is divine. It is huge! And the dressing is different than the standard creamy caesar. It seems lighter but has just as much(if not more) flavor than you would expect of a caesar dressing. Our waiter was very helpful when we were having a hard time deciding what to order(but don’t worry, everything is delicious). Next time you have a hankering for Italian, you need to get on down to Dalesandro’s!

Dalesandro’s is without a doubt one of my favorite places in Tulsa. This family operated restaurant has some of the best Italian food… in the world. I’ve been lucky enough to get to visit Italy, and I would choose the food here over anything I had there hands down. Yuh. It’s that good. Don’t skip the Caesar salad. It’s perfectly crisp and fresh with shredded parmesan. If they sold the dressing, I’d buy several gallons at a time! This with the complimentary bread is the perfect way to start a meal here. I’ve never had something I didn’t love for an entrée, but I fell head over heels for the carbanera pasta recently. Portion sizes are big; share with a friend. My half of the pasta filled me up so well. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce was creamy but not heavy at all — just perfect. Atmosphere here can’t be beat. You can come dressed up, or a little casual. My favorite place to sit is on the amazing patio complete with beautiful lighting.

I had dinner at Dalesandro’s last night for the first time in several years and it was just as delicious as I remembered. As a table, we sampled the Olive Tampenada appetizer(special), table side Caesar salad, Linguine with Meatballs, Pesto, Stuffed Shells, and Carbonara. The meatballs are huge and absolutely delicious. They were the table favorite. I also loved the stuffed shells, but if you want to order them go early — sometimes they run out! I’m not a huge carbonara fan but I liked theirs and thought the pesto was good as well although two of my dining companions thought the carbonara and pesto needed more salt. The table-side Caesar was wonderful and I enjoyed the appetizer as well(we ordered the small and there was plenty for 4 of us). The service was very good as well. Definitely plan to take home leftovers or split something because all of their portions are huge. Always a great classic Tulsa meal. I need to remember to eat here more often because it really is wonderful!

Pros: Cute place. Great ceasar salad(the dressing is available for purchase). The pasta was buttery and rich. Cons: Sparse amount of parking spaces; but street parking available. We ordered the swordfish. It was prepared in such a way that it had the same texture and flavor as chicken.

Great for Tulsa where it’s hard to find a decent Italian restaurant. The casual elegant setting is great for dates or small dinner parties; also has full bar with seating around. The pasta carbonara is one of the best items on the menu — highly recommend. The lasagna is a very large portion and is also good. The pesto pasta is a tasty dish as well but may be too garlicky for some. And the Caesar salad is one of the best in town. …In other words, it’s hard to make a bad decision when choosing this place. Entrees run $ 16-ish plus but are very large and good to share especially if getting an appetizer(asparagus is great) or salad. If planning to go on a weekend night it would be suggested to make a reservation beforehand.
