I have yet to be disappointed by anything I order at Doc’s. Let me rephrase that. I, an amature cook, self admitted food snob, who always nit-picks every dish I order out, have yet to be disappointed by anything I have ordered here. The food is excellent, an elevated take on a lot of classic bar foods like Nachos(made with goat’s cheese, steak, spinach and sriracha) and Burgers and some more refined choices like mussel frites. My one compliant is that the indoor seating has a tendency to get loud. Ridiculously loud. Shouting at your dinner partner across less than eight inches of space loud. And to make matters worse there are many, many TV’s which isn’t a problem unless there is a game on. There’s always a game on. This, fortunately, is easily remedied by eating outside. The staff are courteous and efficient, and take out orders are quickly and efficiently processes at a register in the back rather than at the bar(which, thank GOD because it’s always busy.) And do try the brunch menu. The chicken and waffles is a very unique take that is absolutely fantastic.

Totally underwhelmed. Come to Portland and have some really good food and get some really good service.

So busy on a Tuesday night that we had at the bar. Fantastic bottle of wine for just $ 25 and the best Cajun food outside the Big Easy. Will definitely make this a regular when I’m in Tulsa on business.

Such a consistently good place. Brunch is great, service is great, atmosphere is great. The Creole scramble is one of my favorite dishes in all of Tulsa. Usually it’s just busy enough to be fun, but not uncomfortably so. We like sitting at the bar and Doc’s has a great one. Only one TV so keep that in mind if you’re looking to watch a game or something.

Fun and trendy place to be in Tulsa on Brookside. In the winter, cozy sitting by the fire place to dine. Upstairs by the bar is also fun. And also the patio with the band playing is a fun thing to do. The food is good and the owner a gem

Service was bad. I ate there once during a slow time, and the wine and cheese was decent, and service was eh, but I wanted to try them for an actual dinner. I was excited and a special occasion coming up, So, I asked my husband to try to get reservations. He called 24 hours in advance, got voice message, and left his name, the time we wanted, and his number on voice message. Nothing. He called again with 9 hours of advance notice: again, he left name, number, and the time we wanted: still nothing. So 3 hours in advance, he FINALLY got a hold of a service member at the restaurant and she was very rude! She acted like our failure was our fault(despite 3 calls in 24h)! We had already called twice during their business hours! Their food is okay(based on one cheese plate, like that explains much). But it is not good enough to be treated like we aren’t worth their time. And the woman who finally answered the phone acted like it was our fault(after 3 phone phone calls in 24 hours) that we did not make the reservations we wanted. I wanted to show my husband that this place deserved our special occasion money($ 150), and they practically turned it down, and very rudely. So, we spent our money elsewhere, and I am not sure I could get my husband(or his friends as the dining club) back there, considering his experience with the service at their restaurant. Granted, being filled up is a legitimate excuse, but be polite about it and be available for reservations for those who want to try more than just the cheeses. I still have no idea about the skill of their chef. Im disappointed in the service aleady and hesitant to try them again, but I hope I convince my husband to try again and that I can update this review. Best, Samantha

Definitely torn on this restaurant. The food was awesome! I had shrimp & grits, my friends had the scallops and chicken which was all great. But, the service absolutely sucked. Waited over 15 minutes to get our first drink. Waitress not attentive and continued to mess up orders. The manager is young and inexperienced

Holy yum. I absolutely adore this place. I would argue that it’s the best brunch option in Tulsa. Very sweet wait staff as well… Just don’t eat on the patio when it’s cold. My bad. You can’t go wrong here. Love their salads. Yummy turkey avocado sandwiches. Great fries. Husband loved the gumbo. Worth a try! Go now!

Had a great dinner at Doc’s. Food: The filet was excellent coupled with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The brownie and ice cream for dessert was just the right night cap to a great experience. Service: On point. Our waitress was fantastic. Ambiance: Small dining area, but it felt cozy rather than cramped. Highly recommend for date night or a nice dinner out with friends.

Doc’s is doing a great job of putting out a varied menu and has an amazing wine list to go with it. Don’t be afraid to ask about some off list wines. For lunch they have a daily special which I have ordered each time. The first was a philly cheese sandwich that I thought was just a perfect blend of sauce and freshly prepared cheese/onion/beef. My friend had an oyster dish that appeared to have 6 large oysters baked with cheese on top. He loved it. The service is really very good here, either they are training them well or recruiting them from someplace that believes in training. I haven’t tried dinner there in a while, but it is on my go to list.

An intimate little place with amazing food! We went in for brunch and had the blue crab cakes, gumbo, sangria, the eggs Benedict with oysters(don’t remember the name of that dish), and all were very good! Food is prepared from scratch by real chefs here. Oh, and the beer is cold, and sangria is real sangria not fruit punch.

This has been a long time coming. I’ve never had shrimp & grits but was curious about it. So I went ahead & got that for lunch. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned & the grits caught me off guard. I’m used to it being for breakfast, not being savory with jalapeño flavor, cheddar cheese & creole bbq sauce. I could eat that everyday if I wanted to. The shrimps were a good size as well. I also went for a full experience by getting a cocktail & dessert. The cocktail was an Irish Ape. It was whiskey infused with banana flavor, orange juice & other elements. It was strong but at the same time, you couldn’t taste the alcohol, which is a good thing. The dessert was bread pudding but it wasn’t your average. It had a mix-in with cherries & white chocolate. Also came with a scoop of ice cream, whip cream & strawberries! The tart of the cherries, sweetness of the white chocolate & butter-like sauce was incredible.

the patio at doc’s does this girl good. but really. looking for a nice, relaxing place to enjoy a glass(or bottle) of wine with a friend or significant other? here’s your place. if the weather isn’t the best, the interior is just as good. they even have live jazz music on Sunday nights! say whaaaaat! my favorite patio on brookside. hands down. r bar(right next door) has a great patio too BUT doc’s has the nice, relaxing atmosphere to go along with it. and now for the food because apparently that’s what I should be talking about since it’s a restaurant. the quiche for brunch is EGGcellent — yes, I just did that. the chicken and waffles are real good, but spicy so be prepared for that. the cocktails are delectable. the shrimp & grits are so, so tasty — and I’m not really sure where else they even serve that in tulsa other than here. I’ve never had a bad fish of the day experience. always fresh and good. so, what I’m saying is. you should come here. maybe make a reservation because the interior is smaller and it can get busy. take a date and prepare to impress.

My 1st time visiting Doc’s since moving to Tulsa 10 months ago. Very nice ambiance! Went in for Sunday Brunch and was pretty packed! The wait staff was fantastic! Kept the Mimosas coming. Perfect for a group or a date. I will go back and try more food soon :)

Went here for brunch. They have a very diverse brunch menu, allowing the opportunity to get everything from oysters to a burger for a reasonable price. I did choose the«Hangover Burger» aptly named for its adornment of bacon, cheddar cheese, andouille sausage and a fried egg. It was hands down not only one of my favorite burger experiences for brunch, but in Tulsa generally. Well cooked, great bun, great toppings and only 12 bucks. When I return here in the future it’s going to be hard to try anything else. Although the waffle was also superb and the chicken and waffles that a neighbor had looked amazing. If you haven’t tried this place for brunch, you need to. Period.

I thoroughly enjoy this place. It’s one of those places I can bring my book, sip a drink and relax.(It can get pretty dark to read, but I deal) The bartenders here are always up for a good chat which I love. They’ve got a patio with quite a bit of seating. Inside you will see a lower level with seating and a few steps up into the bar area where there is traditional bar seats as well as pub tables that could accommodate 3+. This place has high quality food(to me anyhow). I tend to lean towards the same dishes. I love their Caesar salad, it’s fantastic! I love the sun dried tomato touch. The steak nachos are my other go to plate, so much flavor and so unique. You can’t go wrong. I hear great things about their brunch but I’ve never had a chance to check it out. What is most important to me here is their array of alcoholic beverages! I make a lot of different cocktails and I love that I can go there and request it and they’ll have the liquors/liqueurs available to be able to do so. The menu they have is already great to start. ;) Doc’s has a lot to offer everyone. They’re known for their oysters and other seafood, but don’t let that detour you if you aren’t a seafood fan(I’m not!!) Burgers, Salads, entrees, they’ve got it. Cheers!

Doc’s is a great spot to grab cocktails or a meal on Brookside. They have a really cute ambiance, a nice outdoor patio facing Brookside and a delicious menu. First, the things I love: –Doc’s makes a mean craft cocktail. None of the sugary nonsense here! They have lots of wonderful drink options made exceptionally well by friendly bartenders. –The food was really nice. They have a limited veggie menu but, what we did get to order, was tasty! –Their patio faces Brookside and makes for perfect people watching. Whether you’re there for weekend brunch or a weeknight dinner, their patio tends to be a scene… in a good way. Other things to note: –Doc’s is on the pricier side. –For a wine bar, they have a pretty limited wine menu. The options they do feature seem nice, but I would expect a larger list for a place with«Wine» in their name. –They have a pretty limited appetizer selection. Only a few of their small plates really make for a shareable appetizer while the rest or more just smaller portions of what sound like entrees. The hubby and I love just grabbing drinks and a few appetizers on a night out but Doc’s doesn’t really fit the bill. With that said, we did order a nice cheese board with our drinks which hit the spot one evening. I would highly recommend coming by Doc’s for a craft cocktail, a yummy meal and people watching on their patio!
