I found this restaurant via Keep It Local Ok. A food truck turned brick and mortar, their simple menu is just fine with me. I had the Big Bird platter with a «small» hummus(not on the menu) which was way more than I could eat. The hummus had an excessive amount of paprika, almost more than I could stand. Underneath that is was good. The chicken on the platter was nice and zesty and I loved the sauce– no hints of cucumber. I will definitely be back! Enjoy 10% off with your Keep It Local card!

Excellent food! Sometimes you have to wait a minute if a ton of people are there, but it is well worth the wait – and it’s a clean environment, too. There’s also great customer service – even when pesky businessmen are pestering the cooks! I noticed a marketing guy trying to talk to the cook during the lunch rush, and the cook was kind and polite throughout the encounter even though he clearly was juggling orders. I found that the staff handled the situation with great aplomb, and it made me admire them even more!

Service was fast if not super friendly. Everything was just OK. The ingredients are clearly food-service-delivery grade food(like a GFS for example) and didn’t have much flavor to them. I was intrigued by the gyro philly sandwich, and it also was about 3 stars. It’ll do in a pinch for a fast lunch, but it would not become a go-to place for me.

Gyros By Ali is a great example of both the benefits and the pitfalls of a former food truck turned into a full restaurant. There is a limited menu, but this keeps the focus on what they do best. The cost isn’t as cheap as most food trucks, but it’s on par with comparable casual dining. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I had a Prince Ali, a fine example of a standard gyro/kebab. Works great with the Sriracha they have on hand. I also tried the pita and hummus. The hummus is also standard fare and held up to my expectations quite well. The baklava is decent but doesn’t compare to the best hand made stuff. I had the misfortune of coming in right after a large group. Two employees were drowning in twenty orders, so I can’t blame them for waiting quite a while. If you can avoid busy times, this is definitely worth a try.

Gyros, chicken, salad, tabouli, tzaziki and rice are all awesome. If you’ve not tried this place, you’re missing out.

I have wanted to try this place for awhile and I finally got around to it today. I am a big fan of Gyros and I had high expectations for Gyros By Ali based on what I have heard. Luckily, I was not disappointed. We went in around 1:30 or so and avoided the lunch rush. We were able to walk right up to the counter and immediately order. I had the Prince Ali Gyro and my girlfriend ordered the Falafel Sandwich. Hers came with Fries and I ordered mine with a side of Pita and Hummus. Our meal came to $ 17. Our food was delivered to our table quickly and everything was as ordered. The portions were large and everything seemed very fresh. The Gyro meat was seasoned well and it was served with plenty of Tzatziki sauce. I see some of the reviews saying that the hummus was lacking, but I thought it was quite good. Not the best I have ever had, but still well worth getting. Great food, great price and great service!

Had Prince Ali gyro with a side order of curly fries. I was blown away with the quality, taste and the presentation of my serving. I must say being a New Yorker this gyro has beaten all the carts in Manhattan in one go!

Fun staff, clean place, good prices and of course the food is great! I got totally excited reading the Tulsa World review a few years back there was a place down the street for me to get my gyro fix!

Went on a weekday lunch with a couple co-workers. I love hummus, so I had to have their Pita & Hummus side dish. I also ordered some curly fries to go with it because I thought, with the Pita & Hummus being a side dish, that it would be relatively small. WRONG lol. There were six pita breads and probably 15 tbsp of hummus. Needless to say, I couldn’t finish all of it plus my fries. But it was delicious! Some of the best hummus I’ve had and the pita breads were scrumptiously warm and soft. The fries were good, too.

Better than average gyro. The hummus was above par as well. The tabouleh was a tad salty. Great for a quick lunch if you are in the area.

Great, quick service! I had the gyro meat and chicken combo plate, Sinbad Combo. It comes with your selection of fries or tabouli. I selected the tabouli. The food came out quickly and was very good. The gyro meat tastes like most gyro meat and I was pleased. The chicken has a great seasoning on it, as does the basmati rice that the meat rests on. Good overall place, less than $ 10 with drink.

I have been here several times. The Gyros are excellent and their prices are really cheap! The only complaint I’d have is I don’t care for their Humus. I have had much better Humus in Tulsa.

The gryo was spectacular. Fresh ingredients meat was seasoned well. Pita cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is nice, crisp, and clean. They kept the restaurant very clean. Can’t say much about service. Not sure if they make it a point to great their customers. But they did bring my food to the table for me. They had lots of options, I’d like to go back and try the hummus and tabouli. The only set back for me was $ 6 kids meals. That’s pretty high if we’re talking a hot dog and chicken strips. If I’m paying almost $ 8 for my meal my kids meal shouldn’t be anywhere close to that. All on all a nice place though. I’ll think about going back, most likely stag.

Had Gyros by Ali while I was in town and they have some of the best gyros I’ve ever had! The meat is so flavorful and fresh. The hummus was delicious as well. The staff was really friendly and the service was fast. When I come back to town I will definitely have to eat here again!

The nerd herd went here before our visit to the aquarium back in August upon recommendation of one of the NG Tulsa organizers. I love Mediterranean food, so I was game. If I am remembering correctly, they were once a food truck that expanded to brick and mortar. The food was very good — I got a plate of hummus and pita to share and a falafel sandwich + fries for myself. The hummus was sooooo good. I could’ve eaten another round. The falafel sandwich was ok – it was good, but I’ve had better. It took a while to get everyone’s orders out, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Regardless, everyone was pleased with their orders so definitely not a bust.

My current obsession! Stopped in on a whim for lunch one day because it’s near my office, and was so pleasantly surprised. Prices were more than reasonable, and the food was very fresh and flavorful. The interior was casual and clean, and the servers were friendly. I had ordered the Prince Ali(gyro meat) gyro and my husband got the chicken, and we both devoured them happily. Their tzatziki sauce was awesome and creamy, and the meat was some of the best I’ve had in town. I had the tabouli with mine, but next time would sub in the hummus and pitas because they looked delicious. Our total bill was about $ 15 for gyros, drinks, and sides and were exceptionally happy with it. We will definitely be back!

TL: DR — Really good food for a great price! The staff was very helpful and friendly while explaining the menu since it was our first time there. The outside is simple and the the inside is very pleasant and comfortable but nothing fancy. The combo meals are a very good price and coffee with a drink and a side. The hummus & pita side is 99¢ extra but well worth it. The Prince Ali gyro was a good size with lettuce, tomatoes, tzatziki sauce, and their beef/lamb combination meat. Very filling. It doesn’t come with feta but can be added for an extra 50¢. The hummus was also quite good though I’m not a hummus aficionado. It was creamy and the pita was very warm and fresh. Overall, a great place to get an gyro!
