Jack In The Box

Fast food is such a personal thing. Everyone has their favorite and JIB is mine. Can’t get enough of their Jack’s Spicy Chicken sandwich and churros. The recent switch to the magic soda machines (you know the ones with all the soda, water and tea flavors plus additional syrup flavors for mixing) is fun too. The staff at this location are consistently friendly and the place is always clean. It’s my go-​to fast food.

It’s hard to really judge a burger in a way that is meaningful to everyone because everyone has a personal preference. What you get from Jack in the Box is one of the tastier fast food burger you can find in Tulsa. The patty is thicker than what you would get on a whataburger probably about the same thickness as a Braums burger… except that with the Jack in Box they put salt and black pepper on it when they cook it so it has some flavor (note to Braums, season your burger when you cook it — please). So don’t go there expecting a smash burger or the flat Freddies steak burger, this is a thicker ground beef burger that is quite tasty.
Given the price it would get a 5 star rating if they had decent french fries, but their fries are weak… They do have damned good egg rolls which are better than the ones a few blocks away at Panda Express. So if you go there I strongly suggest you have them substitute and egg roll in place of french fries, makes a very good quick meal.
Other thing to avoid there is the tacos… nasty and shouldn’t be on the menu. So now you know for probably the most reasonably priced fastfood burger with the best taste — Jack in the Box… But if you want fries with it then just use the drive through get your burger and then hit Freddies down the street for their fries.
