It took me a few years to muster enough courage to try CrossFit. I can’t imagine a better place for a gym newbie to get started and grow as a CrossFitter. Owner Eric Barber has over 20 years of training and coaching experience and it shows. In addition to his expertise, there is a great team of coaches who not only coach, but participate in the WODs when they’re not coaching, as well. I call coach Heather a «PR whisperer» because she always seems to be around when I hit new accomplishments. It is a great community of people who will help keep you motivated and positive even if you’ve never worked out before. Don’t be scared… try it free on Saturday mornings at 9am and you’ll get a taste of one of the most challenging and rewarding fitness experiences around! It isn’t a quick fix but the results are overwhelming and happen faster than you expect. Next Gen welcomes people of all fitness levels and the community is judgment free. Just ask me… I have lost at least 3% of my body fat in less than 4 months and continue to conquer new movements, weights and obstacles regularly. I’m a huge fan.

I had an awesome workout today and finally got a few double-​unders under my belt. Thank you, Eric! In addition to the the owner, Eric, I met his wife and one of the coaches today. They were all super friendly and down to earth. There was no hard sell either. I’m from out of town, but there was a local guy working out there for the first time too. Eric just told him to call if he liked the class and was interested in talking about membership. The facility was as nice as the people. Everything seemed clean and they had all the normal Crossfit stuff in great condition. I’ll be back tomorrow for another WOD!
