I have been going to Perry’s for over 3 years have never had any problems with the quality of meat that I have purchased. So from my viewpoint its excellent.

Any time I’m going to get my grill on, my first stop is Perry’s. Whether you’re doing a pork shoulder, baby backs or spare ribs, brisket, or even pork belly Perry’s has the quality meats that are the building block of good BBQ. Both the spare ribs and the baby backs are nice and meaty — great for smoking. Whether in the oven, slow cooker, or grill, I’ve never had a brisket turn out well that did not come from Perry’s. I never make a brisket any more if I don’t have the time to stand in line. Yes — there is almost always a line at Perry’s because their meat is fabulous and reasonably priced. I’ve heard you can call ahead and have your meat pre-wrapped for pick-up, but I’ve never tried it. I usually like to look around in the case and choose. When you go in, take a number and wait to be called. The staff will answer questions, remove membranes, cut to order, and all the things you’d expect from an old-fashioned butcher. In the meantime, you can peruse their huge selection of marinades, rubs, and BBQ sauces.(They sell Elmer’s BBQ’s fabulous sauces at the Lewis location). You can also stock up on hamburger while you’re there… they will wrap it individually in packages of your choice. Your best burger gets even better with Perry’s hamburger. In short… great quality, great service, great prices. I recommend you check it out.

There is a new Perry Meat Market at 81st and Sheridan and it’s normally not very busy. Hand cut to order steaks at reasonable prices. Great customer service, every time I’ve been in the ladies are so gracious in cutting exactly what I want without question. Very friendly, I only wish this place was closer to my house so I could go more often. I normally go in for the center cut filet mignon. They will pull a whole packer tenderloin and begin to trim the chain and any silver skin or excess fat to cut two perfect steaks. If I’m going to spend the time to get this kind of meat I get BIG steaks. I usually ask for about 12 to 14 oz filets any they will accommodate you. It’s worth a try.

A Tulsa classic. You will have a wait, but it’s because the staff spends the time to answer every question, show each cut of meat, ask about your fat preference etc. If you’re in a hurry, go to the grocery store. If you want old time meat market with quality beef, chicken, pork, ++ from a local landmark. Perry’s is your place.

You will stand in line. I have waited as much as an hour for 2 steaks. If you can find better meat in Tulsa TELLME! The staff all seem to have been there for a long time, and are always friendly. I only wish I had time to stand in line more often. A Tulsa classic…

I swear, growing up I heard, «did you go to Perry’s today» or «I’m gonna go down to Perry’s» from my grandparents so often, you would have thought Perry was a family friend. No. Perry’s was my grandparents’ place to get meat. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen meat from another store in their fridge or freezer. Nope, all their meat is packaged in white butcher paper with a little Perrys sticker on it. I remember going there as a little girl once with my grandma and I loved that you could pull a number to wait your turn because it was so busy inside.
