Been going to Pure Barre regularly for a few months now and I’m hooked. It’s a tough workout and I’ve seen some really good results in my overall muscle tone and the shape/size of my legs. I think I’ve been to a class with each instructor and while I have my favorites, they are all great. Except for the grippy socks, all the equipment is provided so I don’t have to lug around or store any stuff between classes. I also like that it is low to no impact(there’s no jumping or bouncing around). Can be pricey, but get on the email list and watch for specials.

Note: This review is of the receptionist staff only and not the class or instructor itself. I was excited to give Pure Barre a try for the first time. I left work early just before 4 so I could make it to the 4:30 class. I had a very hard time finding the place and as a result I didn’t arrive until 4:31. I walked in and noticed the class had just started. Much to my dismay, the receptionist refused to let me in the class for being 1 minute late! I took off work an hourly early and hauled butt to get there only to be turned away. I understand it is rude to be late and I am normally a very punctual person; but really, 1 minute late and you’re turned away? I’ve been to several other fitness classes where I’ve seen people arrive up to 10 minutes late and they were allowed to come in.

What a great workout! I started going here about 3 weeks ago. I had purchased a special through Amazon Local for 2 weeks unlimited at Pure Barre. I went a total of 6 times in those 2 weeks to try different teachers and get the basics down. I thought I was in shape(I go to yoga, krav maga, lift weights, run, etc) until I went to Pure Barre! Oh my gosh I was so sore the first week-and loved it. You use muscles you didn’t know you had! I felt a bit clueless the first few times, if I was doing things correctly(like are you supposed to tuck your butt or stomach?) but the teachers were super helpful. I like that they come over and help you with form during the class(if you want it). The other women in the class were friendly. I didn’t feel intimidated at all-I usually don’t anyway. I think monthly(or more?) they have a class called Breaking down the Barre and an instructor goes through how to do everything and answers questions. I went to that Wednesday night and that really helped. I think it is good to go to several classes first to know what she is talking about. I like it so much that I bought a package. They have several packages to choose from and a new client special. They also have really cute clothing for sale too-workout and after workout clothing. Oh and make sure you wear their special socks in class, it helps with gripping during the workout. Also, you can go to their website and watch videos about Pure Barre-helpful to watch before your first time.

Pure Barre is one of the hardest, most unique workout classes. The staff is exceptional & the classes give as much difficulty as you’re wanting from your workout. It is an hour of me time, I look forward to every class & am thankful to have found the barre workout that’s challenging, and in a studio that now feels like an extension of home because the Pure Barre family is unmatched!
