Getting self serve gas and then standing in line behind six people to get the receipt seems a bit backward.
And the attendant did not have any interest in hearing about it or finding out why it happens.
One trip and done.

Quiktrip is the pride of Tulsa. Six decades ago, Chester Cadieux began the process of reinventing the gas station. He did it right here, in Tulsa. Fast forward to present day, and there are QTs in every majorly trafficked area of town, as well as spreading out to neighboring states in this half of the country.
I spoke with Chester on the phone about 15 years ago, prior to his son, Chet, taking the wheel. I asked him why they were closing such an old, tried and true location (#3) in north Tulsa. He took time out of his day to call me back personally and answer my question. He told me that they were moving toward more highway traffic locations, and away from neighborhood stores. That they would be simultaneously opening a new location less than a mile away, once this one closes.
He mentioned he was trying to get transitioned to this new model with as many stores as he could, prior to handing over operation of the company to his son. I was, and to this day, am, impressed with his candor, and genuine demeanor.
The things you can expect with every single QT, are to be treated well, seamless efficiency, and uniformity in the product. In fact, when on the road in another state– coming across a QT is a major event. Especially when road weary; it’s almost like being «home» once inside.
The quality of QT’s food, is continually being improved, but even from the early days, has always been better than any other gas stations’ «food».
This is a top notch location, and a top notch company.

At $ 3.35 per gallon for Regular, this Quicktrip was one of the cheapest places to tank up in Tulsa. Thankfully, there’s plenty of pumps available, so waiting isn’t an issue. It isn’t far from the highway, so that’s a plus. There were squeegees available and the water was sufficiently soapy. No comment on the mini-​mart, as we didn’t go inside. Man, all I have to say is Tulsa is one muggy town considering it is only the end of April!

Locations all over Tulsa. In my opinion, the best convience stores in the country. Hot food available ²⁴⁄₇. About 30 choice of beverage. Fresh donuts and sandwiches made in their own massive bakery located here in Tulsa. Always clean, safe and secure.

I like the hot drinks in the winter, and the freezoni slushes in the summer. I always stop in QT on the way to work and pick up a Rooster Booster drink. It has lots of vitamins, ginsing, and ginko to keep me going. I noticed I don’t really get hungry while I’m drinking one. I think it helps keep my weight down.
Whenever the lines are long at the counter, another employee steps up to the plate and helps out. I never have to worry about being late since the lines move so quickly. The employees at the register multi-​task, and can start ringing up the next person if one person is digging in their purse, writing a check, or whatever.
