I love this bar! It’s not very big but there’s seating area outside! We order the whole apps choices when we get here! Everything is so good to eat with a group of friends!

Finally made it out for Burger night! They’ve changed the deal a bit — regular burgers and fries are now $ 5 and specialty burgers + fries are $ 8. I ordered the Wag burger(bacon, a fried egg, and cheddar). Be prepared for the egg yolk to pop and get everywhereeeee — not that that’s a bad thing! I upgraded my fries(for an extra $ 2) to truffle-sage fries. I wish there was more truffle-sage flavor! so I can’t say it was really worth it/made a difference. Literally 5 minutes after I ordered my burger and fries, they were out to me piping hot. Super impressed. Caleb is also an awesome server!

Much better when it was Brew House. Food was much better then and now it’s just full of people who love the smell of their own farts. Make sure to drink your beer with your pinky hanging out!

I’ve been going to to R Bar since they opened and love their patio. Always have a friendly staff and quick service. The food is good but could be better. I am a fan of their truffle fries. Lots of TVs make it good to watch sports.

Drinks: 4⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Cleanliness: 4⁄5 Décor & Style: 4⁄5 I only had 1 beer here and their selection is not too bad. Service was ok since we were the only ones sitting in the patio and it was just easier to go inside to order a drink then wait on someone. Can’t judge too much from one drink but overall decent.

I feel like R Bar is the bar from cheers… Where everyone knows your name! R bar had a huge patio which is outfitted for all seasons. The staff is really friendly and food is great as well. This place is prime people watching real estate!

Great beer selection, however a little pricey. The atmosphere and the bathrooms in this place are cool and fun. They also have quite a few TVs to watch sports and a nice outdoor heated patio. Coming from Wisconsin where the majority of bartenders are kind, and welcoming this place feels a bit opposite. I have been here a few times now and have held off writing this until I felt certain… but needless to say sorta the opposite of welcoming. They like sour beers at this place and if you are also into that, this is your spot.

After a long day, me and my boyfriend decided to unwind with a hearty dinner! They were kinda slow when we got here, we seated ourselves and got some drinks while we waited for our food to arrive. We stuffed our faces and needless to say are now going home to rub our bellies… We love R-Bar!

I absolutely love r bar. It is always my first recommendation when friends ask to hang out over dinner or drinks. The nachos are always a favorite. I also love the Buffalo chicken sandwich with some fabulous truffle fries. I love the patio when the weather is nice. Especially for brunch on sundays! Mason jar mimosas are great. The beers are good, but if you’re on a budget steer clear of the cocktails. While they are delicious, they are quiet pricey compared to other places around town.

A fun chill sports bar in the Brookside area. Parking: There is street parking here and there, but I found a lot behind another place. There seemed to be parking near a yoga studio also. Atmosphere: Super casual. The bar had several TVs with sports on. Service: The wait staff were super attentive and friendly. We were asked about drinks quite often. Food: We did not get any food, so I cannot speak on that. Drinks: Various beers, cocktails, and drinks. I ordered a Framboise Lambic — yum!

Coming from out of town they didn’t make the best impression. My sister over heard our server(Mikayla) bad mouthing our table after one of us was curious about a mimosa mason jar came about 75 percent full with tables around us having full jars. Not enough missing to be real concerned but enough so that it looked like some fell out or something. After that the server forgot some things and they were sold out of others making it an adventure to find items that we were actually able to eat. The food was ok I enjoyed the cinnamon roll though it was light on the icing and the coffee is a solid C in my book. Anyway if the servers can manage to not talk about their tables out in the open like that this place might be half way decent.

what to order: truffle & sage fries, chicken taquitos tip: the portions are huge! definitely starve for a few days or bring a friend to share I like this place! It reminds me of Yardhouse or BJ’s Pizza at home in Orange County. It’s a very modern bar/lounge with several TVs so you can drink, eat AND watch sports. Sounds like heaven to me! The truffle and sage fries are so fancy. And they’re huge. They’re thick steak fries and the sage with the truffle is something I’ve never tasted before. It’s a very distinct flavor that made me feel bougie and fancy… don’t forget to eat them with your pinky out ;) The chicken taquitos are more like mini chicken burritos! They’re unexpectedly HUGE and they give you so many. The sauces they give you also compliment the taquitos very well. Both portions were large and my friend and I had trouble finishing everything. I don’t think we did because I could feel my arteries slowly clogging even though my taste buds were begging for more. Service was also great! We dined in between shifts and the server let us know who would be taking care of us after she left. Both servers were super friendly and attentive.

Update – While I love the food the service lately has been sub par. Come on R Bar! Waitstaff has been unpleasant, rude, and not accommodating. I love R Bar. It is my go to for almost any meal. Note – it’s packed for brunch. Here is a list of my favorite food items: –the buffalo chicken sandwich –pretzel –chips and queso –Caesar salad –any pizza –Burger –BLT –French onion soup They also have a great beer list. However, they are almost always out of one of the beers my husband or I order. Just know that going in and you won’t be disappointed. My favorite beers are the Bahl Hornin/Anderson Valley and Tank 7. Give this place a try, they have exceptional food, good prices and great beers.

I went to R Bar for the first time a few weeks ago with some friends for dinner. I wasn’t sure if this place was more of a bar or restaurant, but going forward I would definitely consider it more of a bar. We’d never been inside before so we weren’t sure if it was a seat yourself place or not(hint: it is.) When we walked in the door, we awkwardly stood there for at least 3 or 4 minutes while multiple staff walked right past us. Eventually someone told us we could sit wherever we wanted. It was a Thursday night and the place was packed both inside and outside. We crammed three people into a two person table seeing as how that was all that was left. I ordered a burger and it was pretty good, but definitely not the best in town. I ordered the Caipirinha from their cocktail menu and it was also pretty good, but nothing special. I don’t think I would order it again. The service was also just alright. I’ve heard great things about this place so I am willing to give it another try. But I do wonder if the popular location on Brookside and the outdoor patio are really the only things giving this place its appeal. Overall, I would suggest stopping by during the evening for a drink, but probably wouldn’t recommend coming here to eat.

Huge fan of R Bar after just one visit. Made our first stop here for a drink and bite to eat after getting into town on a Friday. Arrived around 3:45 and sat our selves on the patio. We were recommended to get the Chicken Cigars(taquitos) so we did, two orders between four of us and we dominated them. Our waitress tried to convince us one would be enough… little did she know. They come with an amazing spicy bbq dipping sauce that I literally finished off with just my fork. For drinks I did the Lavender Sour but switched gin for vodka, I loved it. Two friends got the moscow mules which were good. They make their own ginger beer so I was expecting a little more, but still good none the less. Great spot for happy hour of mid-day bite!

I had the BBQ Chicken Legs & it was pretty tasty. I just the like the portion size of the entrée. I felt like I got jipped on the chicken. The beans & eloté went hand in hand. I liked the seasoning on the eloté as well. Another chicken leg on the plate wouldn’t hurt.

The boyfriend and I enjoy sitting out on the patio when the weather permits. They seem to keep the temps under control in any season with heaters and fans. The food is usually decent. I have complaints with the cheese plate once. It was not up to par. Their beer selection is excellent, but the menu needs to be more readable. We recently went there for brunch and enjoyed the Croque Madame w/bacon no ham, and the jar mimosa. It was the perfect late morning meal.

I have had some amazing experiences at r bar, and some just ok experiences. All in all though, this is a great place for some patio dining in the spring and summer time! Good things: $ 5 burgers on Monday, $ 5 pizza on Wednesday, awesome patio, good beer list, pet friendly patio, the wag burger is great, there are lots of different sides to choose from and the veggies are surprisingly well cooked and seasoned. All in all a fun atmosphere! Just ok things: some of the servers don’t write down what your order which has left room for error a few times when I’ve been there, truffle fries are not all their cracked up to be, poutine is also just kinda meh. Tip: there is no host stand so seat yourself!
