If your wanting somewhere to go for lunch during the week with a co-worker this is the place to go for an appetizing yummy Lebanese Mediterranean cuisine. Great selection of authentic kabob, shawarma, & Tawook sandwiches. Well priced and family owned and operated!

This place was one of the best Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurants I’ve ever been to. I got the special and a meat pocket and a spinach pocket. All were well spiced but not spicy. I will definitely be returning!

I came to this place because of Unilocal and had never heard about it. Pretty good spot that’s tucked away from the street. You’d never notice it but they’re food is awesome. Check it out!

Unilocal helped me find this place! I had a coworker in from out of town — we were in between meetings, and he wanted something healthy. Score! I got the chicken kebab platter. The tabouli was so good and the pita with hummus — very very good. Highly recommend!

Very authentic lebanese food. I loved everything I have tried at Shawkats. My favorite is the chicken and beef shawarma. The falafel is great also.

This was my first time at shawkat’s the service and atmosphere are both amazing! The chicken shish-kabob is the best I’ve ever had. All the ingredients are fresh when you walk through the door the smell are intoxicating they smell so delicious. Will be back here soon!

Don’t let the hassle of getting in and out of this place stop you from trying some good, authentic Middle Eastern food. Location of the shopping center they are in is less than ideal. I have bought their pita bread for years, but have not eaten for lunch since the ownership changed. I had the kafta kabob/tawook chicken kabob platter. I was impressed with the quality of the food. The downsides were straws too short for the glass, paper plates and plastic ware. Real plates and silverware would be a welcome improvement. They could also stand to update the tables/chairs. This is a place you go for the food, not the atmosphere. Have a feeling I will be eating there now every time I pick up some pita bread.

There was a party in muh mouf starring a gyro, hummus & cheese covered bread!!! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a mom & pop Mediterranean-type restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. And honestly, the plasticware isn’t a big deal considering how good the food is.

We had lunch here & food was very good. The service was good & everyone was very friendly. The outside patio was a nice place to sit for lunch. I am not a big fan of eating on disposable plates & plastic cutlery. I would suggest making a change.

This little place is way better that you would imagine given its location in a random shopping strip. The owners and workers are super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I always order Greek salad with Gyro meat, which isn’t really on the menu, but they make it for me anyway. Nice, right? Their little desserts are mouth watering. The last time I was there I had called in my order and she forgot to add the desserts. When I went to get them she was very apologetic and gave me extras. If you like hummus and tabouli drive there now. The down sides are that there isn’t much seating and the location isn’t ideal. You can call in an order for pick up, which is great. There is a little outside seating, also.

I guess that the story is now out about Shawkats. It has always been incredible especially since so few people knew about it and seating was always available. Absolutely incredible middle eastern cuisine at very fair prices. Best I have ever had in the U.S. and even a few other countries! Flavor like you will NOT believe! You just want to stay and eat more even when you are totally stuffed. At least there IS take home to satisfy your late nght cravings. Better go before you absolutely cannot get in!

I can’t believe it took me so long to try Shawkats. I had the kafta kebobs over hashawa rice and it was amazing. The tabouli and hummus were as well. Best in Tulsa in my opinion.

I was born and raised in the Middle East and a bite of this food took me back to playing on the dunes in Saudi. This is a true gem for middle eastern food. The blend of spices is unmatched and not just for Tulsa. This place tops the charts in the US. They have a stone brook oven where they bake fresh Latif bread where they can make zattar bread, lebna zattar, cheese bread, honey lebna, cheese lebna. If you have never tried these breads then you must come here. If you have tried this bread and you are reading this review then I apologize for the fact that you are now going to ditch whatever appointment or career interview you had and rush directly to this restaurant. Don’t let the décor fool you, this place composes dishes as Beethoven does symphonies. Alright for a list of what to get: The meat grape leaves — amazing The kibbeh — crazy good The Lebanese chicken or beef shawarma. The falafels — so good The tabouli salad — unbelievable Cheese bread — orgasmic All of the breads with the toppings — orgasmic. Look at my combos above.

Being from Houston, I miss places like this now that I live in Oklahoma. I had the Chicken Shaworma platter and Falafel appetizer. It was all very delicious! I will be coming back for sure!

This was my first trip to Shawkat’s. I ordered the traditional Chicken Shaworma platter. It came with tabouli and hummus. The Shaworma came with fries, pickles, and garlic sauce, all wrapped in pita bread. The pita bread is made in the restaurant and is nice and fresh. Everything was very flavorful. The hummus and the tabouli were fantastic as well. I will definitely be back.

This off-the-beaten-path Mediterranean deli is a great place for lunch. With typical options like Shwarma and Gyros they also have some American cuisine. You can order platters, meals or just order items a-la-carte. The food is authentic, flavorful and it is locally owned. If you like this type of food, this is a must-try.

This is JUST Interstate 44 for those passing through like we were on a road trip. We eat Mediterranean often and have spent time overseas. We felt this place gives you all the authentic favors you would want. The strip mall they are located in is unimpressive and a bit depressing. Their space is a bit dogged-eared but the good intention is there. The locals have a great thing going with the food, and the tasty baked goods. And it’s not a franchise. We will definitely stop again when we pass through Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I love this place. The chicken Mediterranean salad is amazing! Best tabuli I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is lacking, but like my Dad would always say, «you don’t eat the atmosphere!» The special gyro is incredible. The pita is made fresh at the restaurant ! I think they are still only open for lunch. Try it you won’t regret it!

Hummus has a very odd consistency. The place feels very run down. The people were nice.
