Guys at work have bragged this is the best Philly place in town & about 5 minutes ago I’m a believer. Walked in at 12:10& line was to the door. Orders were taken quickly & arrived to me quickly. The environment is nostalgic & American. Had the mushroom cheese steak stuffer w/jalapeños and a order of cheese fries. Both were excellent. Will definitely be eating here again soon

Most amazing sandwiches that I have ever eaten. Always busy at lunch so go early or later.

The bread is dry and there’s too much of it compared to the meat and cheese ratio. The meat is bland even with added onions and jalapeños. Phat philly’s is way better.

So, I have been going here for years. Due to some dental problems, I can’t go as often as I’d like. We just got back from an East Coast trip to Philadelphia and we had a Genos cheesesteak. I’m here to tell you that me and my wife both took a bite, looked at each other and said«Not as good as Steak Stuffers.»

I love love LOVE this place! It’s a bit of a drive for my family but oh so worth it when we do get the chance to make it out that way. I love he cheese steak stuffer, my husband gets the mushroom cheese stuffer, and my parents always sub white American cheese on their cheese stuffers. The natural cut chips are awesome too! They are always so friendly and the service is fast! If you plan on eating inside I don’t recommend going around lunch time unless you get there early. It is always packed. Thank goodness they have a drive thru! I would call ahead for even faster service. I will be a customer for as long as they remain open!

I wish I could say better things about this place. I’ve tried to like it. It’s a good sandwich if you like tasteless meat smothered in cheez whiz… It’s wrong to call it a Philly Sandwich if you have to ask for the provolone(or you get the default cheez whiz). The meat just has no flavor… I’m sorry. I wish I could like this place, but I can’t understand how they have such a large and enthusiastic following in Tulsa.

Not a fan. Toppings were cold with hot meat and room temperature bun. Not tasty or worth the money. If you want a good sandwich/philly go to Phat Phillys.

The food here is so average… barely. The bun is ridiculously gigantic and dry. Add some ground beef looking stuff and barely enough cheese. Voilá, a steak stuffer sadwich… Came here with friends. No one finished. The staff is friendly and clearly there’s a following but I can’t imagine eating here on a regular basis. Edit: reminded by my party… canned mushrooms and jarred jalapeños were served cold on top of the food. What?

Hands down the best Philly Cheesesteak Ive ever had!!! They dont have anything bad on the menu, however the original steak stuffer with cheese is probably the best thing on the menu. Even the french fries are excellent. I have the chicken stuffer without cheese for a healthier option that is still satisfing.

I love the cheese steak stuffer. This is a great place for a hot sandwich. Some have had their chicken stuffers and my friends have all enjoyed that stuffer as well. I have tried their homemade chips and they are good and fresh. I enjoy this restaurant as a good place for my co-workers and I to enjoy.

One if my favorite places in Tulsa for lunch. This location is much better and easier to get to than the previous location off of I-44 and Lewis. The service is not fast but it isn’t slow either. Don’t eat here if you are in a hurry. The restaurant is clean. There are two large tables that will seat 6 to 8 if you come here with friends and co-workers. Get here before noon because seating is limited on occasion. They also do orders to go. The food is good. My favorite is the Philly Cheese Chicken Stuffer with white American cheese and green peppers and corn fries on the side. I have not had a bad meal here yet.

So driving with a co-worker back to our office and debating on where to go for lunch, we flew past this place. From the outside I had no idea what it was and didn’t think twice. He said«Oh that’s Steak Stuffers». I had heard of the place from a few people but had never been there, and by the location alone… probably never would on my own. So we whipped the car around and headed in. The colors of this place are beyond patriotic. Red White and Blue everywhere… The inside looks like a bit like some weird patriotic version of TGI Fridays with random memorabilia on the walls. My expectations were immediately lowered. The menu looked pretty vast for a cheese steak shop. Ordered the #1 based on my friends suggestion but had to step it up to provolone cheese. I just cannot deal with neon orange cheese whiz on a Philly. Here’s where it got bad for me. The food was out and at the table before I had finished putting ice and iced tea in my cup. Was it already prepared? No clanging of metal spatulas and sizzle from the grill. Just«bam» here’s the food. Oh no this cant be good. It was probably under a heat lamp I’m thinking. The presentation was unexpected too. The onions and peppers were minced and sitting on top of the steak and cheese vs being cooked into everything. The cheese wasnt fully melted either. I was hungry though, so down the hatch. The taste was good. And maybe that’s all that matters? Without looking at it, or looked at the surroundings; the food was actually very tasty. I would go back and it looks like they have a solid following. The line extended almost to the door by the time we were leaving. Not a 100% authentic Philly shop in my semi humble opinion. Give it a shot. You know what they say about opinions.

Although I’m not a Philly-native, I did go to school in Pennsylvania and have been to Pat’s and Geno’s, and I’d say these are pretty authentic cheesesteaks, right down to the cheez whiz. I tried the mushroom cheesesteak, and they also offer free add-ons, like peppers and onions. The meat and veggies are all finely chopped up together, and the«cheez» oozes out in every delicious bite — just be careful you don’t burn your mouth! The bread is soft but thick enough to help soak up some of the juices, though you’ll still need a lot of napkins. I wish I’d tried this place sooner, but I will definitely be back!

I have no excuses for not going to Steak Stuffers sooner. It always seemed to be a passing idea that never came to fruition… until the savage winter storm of 2013. Despite the majority of the city closing, I still had to go to work for a bit. Following that, picked up the wife and we went looking for a place to lunch. In dismay the place we wanted to lunch was closed and drove past Steak Stuffers on our way to our second choice, which too happened to be closed. Fortunately Steak Stuffers was not. We both ordered the mushroom cheese steak(half size) and shared a side of fried zucchini. The zucchini was cooked perfectly and served with the necessary ranch dipping sauce. The sandwiches were pretty excellent too, with the meat finely diced along with peppers and onions. The bread was stuffed with the meat mixture, cheezwiz(there are other cheese options, but why would you want to stray from tradition), and loaded with sauteed mushrooms. Bread itself was nothing special from what I could tell, which is fine, because the focus should be on the meat. I probably could’ve eaten a whole 12″ but then I’d have been in hibernation mode. This place serves a more than just the traditional cheese steaks, with menu options including one with mozzarella and pizza sauce and other different type of meat sandwiches. There’s also salads available, but if you are going here for a salad, there may be some personal issues you need to address. My only complaint is that this joint is not open on weekends. This place would be an excellent post Friday/Saturday night recovery spot. Get some meat to help soak up that potential hangover.

I think Steak Stuffers has the best«Philly» bar none. My son and I have enjoyed Steak Stuffers since George opened on Peoria years ago. George had a unbelievable knack remembering customers names that made us feel special each time we placed an order. Our picture hung on his wall for years, even a picture of my son when he joined the Marines. I want to thank George for welcoming us into his«home». George, “Wolf” and I will miss you and will continue eating at Steak Stuffers for years to come.

Sometimes you just need honest-to-God junk food. Chopped beef, fried onions, bright orange cheese goop, all wedged into a roll of indifferent quality and doused with as much Frank’s Red Hot as you can lay hands on. Tilt the sandwich and watch the grease pour out — that’s the seal of quality right there. Shame on you if you ever pass up Steak Stuffers for a whopper.

I’m convinced Tulsa has no taste buds when it comes to a good Philly. The meat was average tasting, the cheese on the bottom of the bun was actually cold. The bun was soft but too thick and too cold to make this a tasty ½ sandwich. too pricey for a cold ½ sandwich, fries and drink and just not good. I won’t be back.

Best cheesesteak in Tulsa that I’ve had. If you have another opinion or have found better, please let me know. I’d love to try it. Now that this place is on 51st and Memorial and not off I-44 things seems to have became more consistent. However, I always call before I go just to make sure they are open. Can’t even remember how many times I drove down to the old location just to find that they were closed. The regular Philly is good but I really like the Pepper jack Philly with extra peppers and onions. This is the way to go. Killer food it’s worth it. Call ahead and order if you want to save some time and hit the drive thru if you can avoid going inside.
