Sun & Ski

Lots of cool outdoor gear. Most is pretty pricey but excellent selection. I’m a mountain bike rider and go in to check out the section for bikes, parts, and see what’s new. Good luck getting some help at the bike counter. I’ve been in 3 time and been ignored all 3 times. Apparently I’m not cool enough for the guys behind the counter. If you want outdoor gear then check this place out… if you’re needing a bike or anything bike related then don’t waste your time. Just head over to Bicycles Of Tulsa. Hope this helps.

Great store with great service! Great selection of technical and casual apparel + a lot of footwear.

Pro: A good variety of sporting equipment — especially if you need skiing/​snowboarding supplies (the best I’ve seen in Tulsa maybe?). Customer service is also good.
Con: Expensive…

I typically buy my sporting goods online. I am able to get exactly what I want and without the hassle of going to the store and searching through racks and bins. However, there are occasions when I just can’t wait and need something on the spot. Just such an occasion happened recently and I found myself visiting Sun & Ski twice in one week.
My first trip was for a pair of «LockLaces» for an upcoming race I have. While they did not have what I was looking for they had a competing brand of laces. I didn’t end up getting them but their sales staff was helpful in locating the laces in the store and was very apologetic that they did not carry the brand I was looking for.
The second time I was in was for a pair of swim fins for swim training. I was able to find what I was looking for quickly and was in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes.
If you enjoy shopping for sporting goods in person and don’t absolutely have to have a very specific brand of good you’re likely to find what you’re looking for here. The store is large and has a wide variety of sporting apparel, goods, tools, etc. However, if you are like me and typically want exactly what you want in color, brand, etc you might try here but you will likely have to go online to order it.

They have everything you can imagine when it comes to the outdoors. They however fail severely on customer service. It makes me wonder why since they are paid on commission. Make sure you know what you are looking for when you go in. Each time I have gone, I have not gotten good service. Luckily my outdoor knowledge is solid. They are not a specialty shop in any of their equipment. I would suggest going to a specialty shop if you are unsure of what you are looking for.
