Stay away! My wife and I lost our son at 24 weeks and Thompson was cold, cruel, and disgusting to her. She asked for him to remove our son from her on a Wednesday morning, he said he could not do it that day and would not let another doctor do it. He wanted her to wait until the following Monday. He told my wife that «her pain would be the same» if it happened on Wednesday or if it happened on the Monday. That comment did not help anything. We chose to go to St. John’s that day and they took such good care of us and we got to have some time with our son. That would not have happened if we had gone with Thompson’s plan.
Also, our son stopped moving on a Sunday, my wife had last seen Thompson on the Thursday before. It was a quick in and out. My wife said she was feeling weird and he just brushed her concerns off, and went on to the next patient. Very rude.
Please stay away from him.
Since this happened, we have had a daughter and we used Dr. Parham with St John’s. The difference in the doctor and patient relationship was night and day compared to Thompson. Dr. Parham cared and checked everything on my wife that she needed and wanted. He also discovered what had happened during the prior pregnancy and that was very helpful. He found some issues with my wife and has honestly probably saved her life.
Stay away from Thompson! God Bless!

I searched for years for a doctor that would perform a VBAC and I finally met Dr. Thompson. He was confident, informative and gave me peace. I wasn’t even pregnant when I started going to him, but knew I wanted a VBAC with my next child. 2 years later… I had one and it went perfectly! Dr. Thompson is a little bland in his personality, but he is very nice and answers any questions you have & his success rates are some of the best in the state. I highly recommend him to anyone!
