Awesome laid back laundromat where you can grab a beer, a sandwich, listen to music, and play pool. Or just hang out. Great staff of awesome ladies to get what ever you need and answer my stupid questions.

This is a cool place. I do my laundry here all the time. Usually a chicken sandwich and a roll of quarters gets the job done. Their chicken sandwich is crazy good.

Just had the chicken salad in a boat of romaine, cheese and cherry tomatoes. Im pretty picky about chicken salad, but yours rocked! Thanks for opening the grill for me after closing time! Made laundry time seem much more pleasant!

This place has had quite the facelift. I was a patron a few years ago and though I thought it had a lot of character, I didn’t necessarily want to be there unaccompanied. However, that is no longer the case. Since the new owners have taken over, it’s much more inviting and higher quality! They have updated most of the machines which means more of them actually work and you can now wash that huge comforter that won’t fit in your own washer! They also now sell sandwiches as well as the regular expected beer. I didn’t bring my own soap but for just a few bucks, I got a pbr, they provided soap, and I washed a load of laundry. Laundry usually take awhile, so while you’re waiting on your spin cycle, they have cable tv playing and a selection of video games to entertain you. They also provide a washing service for local businesses at a discount price! They’ve done an incredible job with this space, I’m happy to see it’s growth!

I came in to University of Wash to wash my scrubs(I work at a hospital and use the hottest setting I can find). They have great facilities. Pretty average prices compared to other laundromats. Plus I was pretty happy with the vibe here. Great music. While I waited I tried a sandwich, the Presley Press, which was deliciously messy! It has PB, bacon and bananas(Yum!) and there’s a bar too, so I washed it down with a beer. Kinda nice to just chill and talk with the bartender while waiting. I’ll come back.

I wanted to like this place considering the recent remodel but after encountering the rudest«bartender» I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting I probably won’t be back. My boyfriend and I put our laundry in then sat down at the bar with the intention of ordering a few beers. I had just purchased a Quiktrip coffee and was planning on drinking both but was rudely informed that I must throw it away or go outside because she«doesn’t know if I put something in it». Apparently now that they sell sandwiches(aka ham and american cheese on wonder bread) they do not allow outside food or drinks. I’m sorry but this is a laundromat, not a restaurant, and I shouldn’t have to throw away a drink I just purchased. So instead of supporting a local business I drank my coffee on the curb as there is no actual outside seating. This policy and their rude employee just lost them two faithful customers. Don’t get too big for your britches University of Wash, you are still just a laundromat.

Laundry, Beer and video games.(No smoking) Its clean they have great washing machines prices and they’re affordable for those broke twenty something, or the older gentleman who wants to come chat with the cute staff while hes watching the game drinking a beer and folding his clothes. University of wash is good for all ages and fun for all ages. Its a place that makes you feel Stoked about doing your Laundry!

I had to hit the laundromat today when my washer broke mid-cycle, so I headed over to University of Wash, which is where I used to launder back in the day. Well, it was pretty nostalgic, because they still have the very same machines as back in the day. It’s a nice atmosphere for a laundromat, with a little bar, 2 pool tables, lots of books, tables and chairs, etc. So as a beer bar/reading room it’s pretty good, but it does not really fulfill the basic function of a laundromat, which is having functional washers and dryers. There are 24 top loader washers, 13 were marked out of order. There are 4 front loaders, 2 are out of order. Out of 15 dryers, 6 were out of order. And it’s not like they just had a catastrophic day, most of the out of order signs were taped on for good and were weathered and stained as if they had been there a long time. The price is right, if there’s a washer: 1.50 to wash and about .50 to dry(if the dryer is working, one of mine wasn’t doing too well and took another quarter. Today at 4:30 there was no one else using the facilities so I had no trouble, but at peak times, I’m sure that 13 total washers and 9 dryers isn’t really enough to go around. I’m not really sure how they’re making it as a laundromat, honestly. Maybe they sell a lot of beer and snacks.

Does it make sense to wash your clothes in a room full of smoke? Maybe if you’re a college kid, but even then I wonder. There aren’t too many laundromats here in midtown Tulsa, as the city infrastructure formed during a bygone day when Tulsa was the«Oil Capitol if the World» and everyone was a millionaire. So, no sidewalks, no viable mass transit, and no laundromats(though there are plenty of drop-off cleaners). It’s no surprise that one of the two laundromats of which I’m aware seems to have a college theme… to attract college students, no doubt. There is a bar here to sit and sip 3.2 beer while your clothing spins. Along with that comes smoking. I admit that I may be missing the point. I went in the middle of the afternoon when the establishment was rather quiet. Perhaps, none of the above would matter much if there were a roaring good time afoot. Does it make sense to wash your clothes at a party? I dunno, maybe, if the right people were there. UPDATE, 03/29/2011: I went today and noticed one of those«Breathe Easy» stickers on the door and thought, «so, people can’t stand next to the exit and smoke, but they can chain smoke inside?». Anyway, it would appear that they’ve gone smoke-free. I’m updating to 3 stars. The machines are still really old.
