As other reviews stated, meh and inconsistent. That is about right for a buffet of its expected caliber which is kind of a disappointment. The sad part is the place was borderline outstanding when it first opened, and I’m not a person who care for buffets. Its obvoius they are cutting corners now. There are a lot of options here depending on what day of the week, holidays, etc. I remember when the chefs at each station were proud of the food they were serving with a smile on their faces. Now they just exist, and who can blame them with the ingredients they are provided with. Too bad, this place could hang with some of the good Vegas buffets once upon a time. If you are already in the casino then it may be worth your while, but I wouldn’t suggest a special trip here otherwise.

This buffet is a good deal if you have a buy one/get one free coupon — get these by signing up for the players club(they come in the mail). They offer a few specialty nights(Seafood Night, Steak and Shrimp Night, and various holiday themed meals) but the food seems to be very similar every time we visit. There is a BBQ station(ribs, prime rib, fried fish, cornbread, beans, etc), Asian station(wontons, fried rice, eggrolls, a chicken entrée, egg drop soup, etc), American station(usually fried chicken, veggies, and mac & cheese), a mixed station(I forget what they actually call it, but it seems to be the section where most of the breakfast items are during Brunch), Italian station(pizza, pasta, etc), salad bar with cold items, soup, and dessert. Our last visit was for Sunday Brunch(crab legs!!!), which used to be called the Champagne Brunch(the price included 3 glasses of champagne or mimosas). Now they charge $ 2 per glass and offer a Bloody Mary bar(I forget the price for those) but they’ve lowered the overall price from $ 27 something to $ 20 something per person. The coupons that the players club sends do not work for Sunday Brunch, but you can use those for dinner or lunch any other night of the week(unless specifically noted — we used one for Steak and Shrimp night and it worked fine). The waitresses are good for the most part, just depends on the time of day and how busy they are. Our last few visits have had good waitresses who kept our drinks refilled and the empty plates cleared off. The last one even asked Dustin if he wanted coffee with his dessert, which only a few of them have ever asked. I thought that was a nice touch. Speaking of dessert, some of the cakes can be deceiving. They look nice and fluffy, with their pile of frosting on top, but don’t be fooled. Some of the cakes, and mini pies for that matter, are not good… at all. Thankfully a lot of their desserts are 2 – 3 bites, so you can sample several and not feel like a total pig. Make a sampling plate and see which ones are your favorite — and stick to those lol. Right now the Pot de Crème and the Buttermilk Pie are the front runners! They have been consistently good. There is a hot cobbler /bread pudding station in the back of the dessert area and an ice cream machine, so don’t miss those. That is also where the spoons are located in case you need one — your silverware roll only includes a knife and fork. The buffet is all ages — kids are charged $ 2 or so less than the adult price, which I think is a little steep. For the Sunday Brunch, I don’t know of any 4 year old that is going to eat $ 18 worth of food. My nephew would probably eat about $ 3 worth. I’m not sure if there is an age limit, like if kids under a certain age eat free, so you might inquire if you’re thinking about taking little ones. Of course my opinions on taking kids into a casino are not so nice, but I will keep those to myself(the opinions come from spending hours in a casino as a child, waiting for my parents, and being bored to death). Take your whole family if you want lol. :)

My girlfriend and I decided to try Vision’s Buffet inside River Spirit Casino last Thursday for the Seafood & Crab Legs Buffet. Neither of us had ever been to the new Casino so we wanted to check it out. We arrived around 7:00ish and waited in line for approximately 15 minutes to get a table. You pay while you are waiting in line and then are seated as tables become available. I don’t care much for this type of arrangement because I almost always pay with a credit card and that means I am paying and tipping on a meal that I have not experienced yet. The cost of the seafood buffet is $ 28+ per person, plus drinks and tip. I think that is a fair price as long as the food and service are excellent. For our visit, we found the food to be average and our service to be lacking. The crab legs themselves were pretty good, and probably about the best thing on the buffet. I do not care for the crab legs actually being on the buffet though. I have eaten at other casinos that offer the same type of buffet but they bring plates of crab legs to your table. This solves the problem of the line for crab legs getting so long that you wait for several minutes(thanks in part to people cutting in line). It also stops people from only picking claws out and leaving all the small and broken legs for everyone else. So many times I saw people filling a plate with only the claws they would break off and leave the rest for the people behind them. The rest of the food ranged from average to «meh». The salad bar was very good with lots of fresh produce to make a good salad. The BBQ portion of the buffet had some pretty decent looking ribs and other cuts of meat, but nothing really had much flavor and several things were cold. The dessert portion was also hit or miss. I had a Chocolate Pot de Crème that was amazing, but the Blueberry Tart was nearly flavorless and the Cheesecake was still frozen in the middle. The worst part of our visit was our service. We had a little old lady for our server who was just too slow to keep up with the amount of tables she had. We would not have gotten any refills had I not flagged another server down and our table was not really ever cleared(which is really needed when you are eating crab legs). All in all, I would say that our experience with Vision’s Buffet was a little disappointing. If I could, I would change this from an «All You Can Eat Buffet» to an «All You Care To Eat Buffet».

Note: If you expect a Vegas quality buffet here, you will be disappointed. Note 2: If you expect a Vegas quality buffet… anywhere…you will be disappointed. Anyway, my wife and I have come here for the dinner buffet, lunch buffet, seafood buffet, and Saturday steak & shrimp buffet. This next paragraph applies to pretty much all of them. My problem with this place is their inconsistency. It’s like some of the items are good one day, and terrible the next, and vice versa, particularly in the Italian section. That being said, their selection is so enormous that there’s always bound to be SOMETHING good, so you just gotta kinda sort it out every time. I’ve had some of the best and worst pizza, best and worst bbq, good and bad shrimp étouffée, etc… all at Visions Buffet. Heck I’ve had some of the best and worst service here too! Seafood Buffet: Their crab legs are really really good, considering you’re getting unlimited for $ 29. If you really don’t like crab legs, mussels, or scallops(I think they’re scallops, not sure), then just go to the $ 17 dinner buffet or $ 21 steak & shrimp buffet. Btw these prices are from memory so might be off a dollar or two. Steak & Shrimp Buffet: It was awesome, like really really awesome. It’s not your $ 45 steak at a nice restaurant, but it is tender and flavorful. Not to mention they still have all of the other stuff available too. Some notes: Italian section(7⁄10), International section(7⁄10), American section(8⁄10), Asian section(6/10, 9⁄10 on seafood days), bbq section(8⁄10), dessert section(10⁄10) In summary, pros are enormous selection, you can find great food every time because of this enormous selection, crab legs, dessert selection has anything you might ever want, very large and open seating area, crab legs, usually pretty good service, and crab legs. Cons are inconsistency and I have to waddle my fat butt out of the place by the time I’m done eating!

Well we heard the seafood buffet here on Thursdays was«so freakin awesome!» …it’s not!!! We went a little early to lose a few dollars and figured we would jump on the buffet at five when it opened and was fresh. I started with the seafood gumbo and then saw some little scallops on the line woohoo and then peeled shrimp the gumbo was a tasteless paste and the scallops were so over cooked they could have been used as rubber earplugs… the shrimp was meh freezer burns. Ok second trip up to the line since I had three bites in me and I was hungry! I searched for some oysters… none…I’m not a crab leg person… maybe some meat since the seafood is not really palatable… hmm ribs and rib roast(I didn’t call it prime rib because they didn’t use prime it was choice) and it was all… bland!!! I had better food in the navy… yes really… so last try was the salad bar… naaaa never mind there’s nothing to put on it… all said and done it was a very institutional meal. We won’t go back since we tend to plan our casino visits so we can play a little and have a nice meal. The Hard Rock buffet may be ten feet shorter but they seem to care a bit and make good tasting food. And also have a no smoking area that is actually separate from the smoking area and not just an imaginary line.

Went to a Christmas party here, so I’m not sure about value. The food was tremendous and the selection was amazing. The dessert bar was stocked with a fantastic assortment of dishes. The rosemary chicken was worth going back for all by itself. The BBQ ribs were great. I didn’t love walking through the casino to get there, but once I arrived it was totally worth it.

They haven’t changed their Menu in years, it’s the same old lineup, kind of tired. Have not seen anyone checking the foods temperature and usually taste warm not hot. Their Roast beef is tough, if it was good it would be a line, eaten and gone; «Inside Round» is not good. The pizza’s have the kitchen sink on them and are greasy, why not a plain pizza? They can not compete with other Casino Buffets. They need a new management/chef team that gets out and checks their competion. I want them to be good and not get worse…

Food was absolutely disgusting. It looked like it was sitting out for several days when I got there at 7:00 pm. Service was just as bad. Do not waste your money.

Fiancé and I came here for our anniversary… So yummy & fresh! They have a variety of different style of foods, so if your in the mood for a meaty dinning experience, or maybe some Asian food, this is the place to come for that. Also they have a great variety of desserts to choose from to get your sweet tooth in check. You can check their website and see what they have to offer and the times they are open. When your being seated you can ask for a seat where ever you would like if you don’t want to sit where they are seating you. We always ask for seats next to their windows, it’s far away from the bar but also quieter for if your wanting a nice quiet dinning area that isn’t crowded. Both times we have been there we’ve always gotten marvelous waitresses who were very kind and quick to make sure our drinks stay fresh and full, as well as our plates taken. I would recommend this buffet to anyone who likes a variety of something different and don’t want to feel as though your at a high school cafeteria. Elegance, Politeness, Affordable, Romantic, Freshness, & most of all cleanliness is what i would describe this buffet. BTW– I realize there are no pictures for this Buffet so the next time I return I will indeed take plenty to upload :)

Oh, Visions. I remember when you were new with beautiful crystal chandeliers and delicious food. The pretty chandeliers are still there, but not the food. On the most recent visit, most of the food was«okay.» Not amazingly delicious like I had hoped(and craved). On the plus side, you’ll get a lot of variety(Italian, Asian, American, and Mexican). Maybe dinner is better… when you can actually see the staff freshly cooking food instead of pouring it out of buckets. There’s also more variety at dinner.
