Had a job interview there one morning. Got there and was waiting almost 30 minutes to be seen. I finally see the assistant manager and he turns me down in front of other employees telling me I’ve worked there too many times. And criticizing me for working there as many times before. Says I’m rehirrable but won’t hire me because I quit half the times I worked there? But your Wal-Mart really needs people? I have the experience but you turning people away? Riiiight!!!

I think this Walmart got a bad reputation. it’s full functioning now. there are workers everywhere. cleaning, restocking, answering questions. I asked multiple workers where an item is and struck up a conversation. the only thing that makes this place even remotely sketchy is the locations. you get a massive range of people of different social standings. I got what I needed and Im happy with that.

I don’t know why this location closed or why it reopened. It looks exactly the same and runs the same. The customers still look like the dregs of society. Good selection of everything, including nice veggies. I still recommend not to go after dark.

Just to let everyone know, they did close, and got a major facelift and are now reopened. It’s much nicer, the face lift is wonderful but it is on the north side of town, if you live on admiral you know better and everybody else does too that a Walmart located on Memorial and Admiral probably isn’t the safest one in town. Tit for tat. Just don’t go there on the first of the month and your average white person will survive.

This is easily the worst Walmart in Oklahoma and quite possibly the whole Mid-South area. Cops might as well set up a substation there for all the shoplifters they haul out. Also regular fights in the parking lot and at least 1 – 2 shootings here a year. It’s too bad this place is here because it keeps any one else who might run a better business out of the area, but this is the only place on this side of town to shop at. I hate going here but my dogs do love the Old Roy Chinese made dog food.

Even by Walmart standards, this one is sketchy. I still can’t quite fathom how I wound up here in the first place. The switchback entrance is simply ridiculous, insofar as the average Oklahoman* does not handle non-straight roads very well and may or may not stay in his or her lane. We were there on a Friday night, and while I’m not saying that the parking lot had multiple drug deals going on, I’ll simply say I observed much furtive exchanging of small items in the parking lot. The store itself wasn’t exactly in disarray, but you can tell customers had definitely been examining the inventory and the staff hadn’t had time to put everything back yet. So a ridiculous design to access the place, a rough crowd, and a store that’s seen better days means I’ll just mosey to a different spot next time I’m in Tulsa and need to do late night shopping. * I know, stereotypes are bad and we shouldn’t what’s that? I can’t hear you over the sound of the church bus barreling right down the centerline of the entrance to the parking lot and running me off the damn road.

This place is horrible, even for a Walmart. The store is always dirty, there are never enough registers open, and the products on the shelves are always on complete disarray. I recommend avoiding this location and going to just about any other store.

Alot of there workers have very poor customer service skills. I asked an associate for an item i was looking for and she responded with a nasty attitude as if she didn’t really care to answer

You may think that one Walmart is the same as any other, but you’d be completely wrong. This Walmart is very poorly laid out. For example: I went looking for pancake mix and assumed it would be with the baking items. It wasn’t. Then I looked in the breakfast cereal isle. I found one brand there, but three isles over I found the rest in a completely unrelated section. This issue isn’t isolated to just pancake mix. I often find myself walking up and down each isle looking for an item that should have been with similar items, only to find it obscurely placed with unrelated items, or that different brands of the same item are in different isles scattered throughout the store. Just when I think I had it figured out and know all the obscure places to find what I’m looking for, they change it up, like a sadistic shell game. The running joke now is, if you can’t find it, it’s probably by the diapers, or the motor oil. Crime is also a factor at this location. I have personally witnessed no less than a half-dozen violent altercations either in the store or that have spilled out into the parking lot. This was also the same location where a gang-related shooting took place. Because this location is the closest to where I live, I’ll go there when I’m in a rush. Otherwise I’ll drive a little farther and visit a location where I feel safer and can actually find what I’m looking for.

Just did a very poor remodel of the store. The new layout has much to be desired. There are never enough registers manned, products you buy on a regular basis suddenly get pulled from the store and are never seen again. I use to buy exclusively from this particular store but I find I have to go to other stores to buy my favorite products. The only reason I continue buying from this store is bec it is conveniently located. I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to shop here.
