I do not live here but am around almost every day. The staff is difficult to get a hold of, the neighborhood is a bit shady especially at night, and the maintenance is a huge pain. Couple that with not so cheap rent prices(especially for the area) and I think i’ll pass. If you are a TU student with housing paid for this could be a good option as the apartments are brand new, nice inside, and close to campus.

Not to shabby when it comes to University housing — West Park is exclusively the domicile to Students attending The University of Tulsa, OK. Originally slated to house Grad Students, Law Students and Students classified as «intensive studies students» it has opened up to «gen-pop» which is somewhat disappointing. As of Fall 2013, the building and the apartments inside are brand new. They are well appointed with exceptional appliances. Especially for college students. I was impressed by that. The 1BR/1BR is rather small and a bit cramped for an older(non-traditional) student. But; for a younger student this place is likely going to be the nicest place — outside of their parents out — they have lived in yet. The 2br/2br apartments are a bit larger in overall sqft/person and would be better for an individual such as myself… Equipped with access to the University WIFI and«free» cable TV there is little a college student will need after moving in here. The apartments are unfurnished — less major appliances — they have programmable central heat/air-con and in suite washer/dryers. As far as University housing goes; if you’re an independent student and want to live close to campus — this is a great alternative to the«on campus housing.» It is still part of the University and offers the same amenities as any University apartment will — it just removes you from the hustle of campus by a few blocks…
