James has cut my hair in the past but this is the first time he did a foiling. It is PERFECT: subtle and dazzling at the same time! The man is gifted. I’ve found my colorist for life. Thank you, James!

They got me in the same day and the hair color was AMAZING — my hair actually matched the photo of what the colorist recommended. I highly recommend Lana for color and the cut which she also perfected. I asked to keep the length and she did not go snip-​crazy! I am actually not from the area but when I visit my family in Tulsa, I will be making appointments to return to Lana!

I was so excited but nervous about getting my long, dark and thick hair highlighted!!! Went in for a consolation to make sure it would work out. Britney did my hair and is very sweet but not real professional. Came time to shampoo my hair after being there for three hours already and she let me know not to look under her arms cause she needs to shave her pits (gross)so anyway we get back to her chair and I’m telling her it looks good at at this times it’s 1X0pm n the shop is dark n she lets me know there’s no way it will look that good in the daylight!!! Britney was so right because my hair was orange n green!!! Call the shop and they were very nice said to come in to let James fix it. I understand that they are a learning salon but it was a little much when they started taking picture of my hair of what not to do!!! My new growth was a different color than the rest which James referred to as a ring all the way around my head, WOW!!! That’s where the orange came in n the ends were green due to the toner that was applied at the shampoo bowl!!! James n another girl put color from the root to the tip n went in the office to hang out while my ends fried!!! Wasn’t going to write a review until I received a card saying, Thanks for giving us the chance to fix your hair n even then I wasn’t until I called to let them know they hadn’t fixed my hair n could they just color it back dark. Yes they can but for 75.00 more dollars on top of the 139.00 already spent on this horrible experience !!! No thanks!!! I can hardly get a brush through my ends now n I’m gonna end up having to cut so much off n not to mention the weird layers. Word of advice, Call the client and ask if there happy with there hair and skip the card in the mail assuming that you fixed something that was great before I walked into Z Studio! Would give less stars but I can’t.

I will not deny that James has talent with color correction, he gave me the exact color I wanted but the experience was so horrible. He saw Howe much hair I have during the consultation (a lot) and he should’ve known it was going to take a couple of hours. I was charged more for having a lot of hair, which I also understand, but his attitude was ridiculous, after coloring my hair he just didn’t care any more he blow dried my hair and was so rough and rushed between eye rolls. Left me looking like a chia pet and I had to go home and flat iron my hair cause It looked ridiculous, he made me feel like I was getting my hair done for free, yet it was $ 200 plus tip, a tip that I left him even though he didn’t deserve it. Getting my hair done was supposed to be a pleasant experience but it was terrible, I would’ve rather have not gotten anything done, I fell for their websites reviews and I was so disappointed.

I have been going to Dustin at Z Studio for about a year and every visit I say he has outperformed! He creates a masterpiece with unique cuts and colors. He is truly an artist who understands the science of hair! Dustin is respectful and honest — giving feedback on ideas and teaching me about why some ideas aren’t realistic. I highly recommend him for anyone wanting amazing hair — even with repeated processing, my 3 year old nephew touched my platinum hair and said «oh your hair is so soft!» Dustin loves to do color but I have to say he is equally good at cuts — I like change and he manages to change my look up every visit!

Awesome place to go. Very mellow and laid back. And Amy gave me one of my best haircuts :) Will absolutely be back.
