This is the second Kids Quest that I had taken my children to on a recent road trip to Tennessee. After a great experience at the one in New Mexico I was highly disappointed by this one. A little background, it’s a hourly daycare for children 6 weeks to 12 years. They have those Chuckie Cheese mazes, mini basketball courts, a few arcade games, and some imagination play areas. This one was much bigger than the one in NM so when I got to the counter I asked the lady how many staff members they had watching the children. Her very rude response was«we have enough». Now, there were about 20 children in the play area, mostly older kids although I did notice one child my son’s age, about 3. I only saw one staff member and she was kind of aimlessly walking around. My kids really wanted to play so I decided I’d let them play but I’d stay and watch from the outside. I guess if you have an older child this place is fine, but my son, who is 3, was pretty much too small for anything. I watched him go up to a staff member and try to talk to her, I guess not understanding what he was saying, she kind of just looked at him and walked away instead of trying to figure it out or helping him find something to play with. Bottom line for me, inadequate supervision and lack of enthusiasm from staff earns Kids Quest MS two stars.
