Showed up before they opened. Owner was super cool and let us in and got us beers and let us hang out at the bar. Great craft beer selection. Didn’t have any food

Great atmosphere and service at the bar. Had the special — crawfish mac and cheese. Awesome!

Aww what the heck, checked into local hotel and they recommended this place. I was pleasantly surprised. Had country time pepper dry wings. This lemon pepper must be a Mississippi thing, none they less they were awesome meaty and big. Not pigeon wings. Bailey was awesome, courteous, polite, prompt. And knowledgable. This place may look like hole in wall, NOT. It is laid back southern style. They have a great beer selection. Between what’s on tap and in bottle enough to make, making a decision a bit tough. Also had pork and greens based on recommendation of local patron. Never had it before. Always open to trying something new! I enjoyed it. It is always fun trying the local fare. And they have corn hole pit and some other games out back. Good place to relax and enjoy an evening. Give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised. .

Love this place! Everything on the menu is on point and the prices are so fair! For what you get they could charge more, but I’m glad they don’t! We had the Crack Dip fries and the shrimp skewers. Nice little atmosphere in there and the servers are so damn nice! I’ll be dining here on the regular when I visit Tupelo for work.

I would not recommend going here. Waited 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that we were there. Then she asked if we were wanting to eat… well she said that we would be waiting for an hour for that. I don’t believe they are staffing the place appropriately to provide good customer service.

Food was excellent and so was the service. The waitress did a great job explaining the menu and giving suggestions. Not a very big place and there wasn’t a band playing tonight. I imagine with music playing it would be hard to converse with people at your table.

Definitely the best burgers and fries in town. The fries are fresh cut, double fried and just awesome. I have not had a bad meal here and the Connies Blueberry Donut Bread Pudding is so good it is sinful. I really enjoyed the duck as well. Great beer menu(too many IPAs — but that’s just a personal preference) and though I don’t eat them, watching folks consume the fresh crawfish when available is a treat. Only complaint is they are not open for lunch(even Saturday would be nice???)

Wow, pretty divvy bat and restaurant, was skeptical if it wasn’t recommended by a colleague. Great beer selection, no cocktail menu, but they will make you anything if they have the ingredients. Colleague had the chicken and waffle and a Caesar salad, she liked. Other colleagues had the smoother fries, it looked like American poutine, French fries with melted cheese and gravy and such… looked like a messy meal, they enjoyed it. I had the pasta with creamy pesto and shrimp and crawfish; shrimp was tender, crawfish were tiny and scarce, the pesto sauce was too creamy and overpowered the pasta. I hear the burgers are da bomb.

Solid on food, service and atmosphere. THEFOOD The fish sandwich was very very nice. The beer selection could have been better, but I was very impressed relative to what I was expecting for the region. THESERVICE Super friendly, warm and unpretentious. THEATMOSPHERE Casual, kind hip yet warm.

I’ve been twice so far while working in Tupelo and would’ve been there more if I had known about it. If you sit at the bar you’ll find yourself among a mixture of locals and out of towners that I’ve found very easy to talk to. The draft selection is great and so is the bottle selection. The staff likes to talk to you not just take your order. The Smash burger seems to be a local favorite because this isn’t the only restaurant it’s served at in Tupelo. Be careful with the crack dip fries because they are addicting. You actually can’t go wrong with any appetizer or entrée. I’ll be returning to Blue Canoe every time I’m in Tupelo for business.

The burgers are among the tastiest you’ll find in Mississippi, the crack dip is aptly named, and the blueberry doughnut bread pudding is so good you’ll wish you could eat the mug in which it’s served. Great beer selection and nice folks, too.

Warning: Surf & Turf Burger will cause tumescence & the blueberry donut bread pudding will put you over the edge. Great vibe & cold beer selection will make you want to spend the entire afternoon here. Go!

During a business trip, we dined at the Blue Canoe twice for dinner. The food was really good. The service was good but sometimes slower than I would have preferred. Our appetizers were Crack Dip Fries, Onion Rings, Fried Black Eyed Peas, & the avocado one. All were good especially the onion rings and crank dip fries. I had the Smash Burger one night and loved it. I got the Chicken & Waffles the other night and it was good as well. Others in my group enjoyed the pasta, Smashly Joe, and Cuban. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had the same waitress both nights. She was very nice but sometimes her visits to the table were few and far between. I’d go again if in the area.

The Smashburger is really good but heavy – be sure you are extra hungry to enjoy this one of a kind burger. I had the blueberry donut bread pudding to go – it was pretty tasty – probably better to have it while in the restaurant Parking is limited so keep that in mind All major cc accepted

When in a new town I rely on Unilocal to help me find a good place to eat/drink. Reviews were positive so I gave it a try. I think my first mistake was sitting at the bar to eat but since I was by myself I didn’t want to take up a table. The bartender was more interested in talking with two guys at the opposite side of the bar, took 10 min for her to finish up her conversation before she came down to see what I and another customer who had been waiting even longer wanted. I ordered a beer and burger. Food was decent and tap beer selection impressive. I did notice fruit flies which concerns me on how often the two lines are cleaned. To much time was wasted on trying to get the attention of the bartender for another beer so I paid and left. The customer count at the bar was 6 so not a full bar by any means. While I wouldn’t rule out going back I would most likely sit at a table next time to ensure better service.

Great atmosphere. We ordered the fully loaded Smash burger(which was delicious) and the blackened grouper with a side Caesar salad(combine them for a decadent dish)! I can’t forgot to mention the huge beer selection. So many great options. If you are lucky enough to get Tammy as your server, you’re in for a treat. She is so wonderful! We will definitely be back next time we are in Tupelo.

We were fall-color-cruising the Natchez Trace, over-nighting in Tupelo on a Wednesday, and were shocked to discover(in a town this size) a live music venue with a band playing mid-week. It also happened to be the last night of the 2014 World Series, so we camped out at the Blue Canoe and enjoyed the game while listening to a piano player who was so mad at being dumped by his record company that he played the song he wrote about the experience — twice. It is obviously very popular with the locals and with good reason. The food is excellent, the beer selection is great … and you know you’re in a well-run place when the owner is out front bussing tables instead of lounging in a back office wishing his wait staff would work harder. Ask for Tammy’s section, she’s a pro with a grin the size of Elvis’s birthplace, but much prettier.
