Fairpark Grill

Apparently most restaurants in Tupelo stop serving food after 9:00 PM and Fairpark Grill was the 4^th stop for my wife and I looking for a meal on her birthday. Although Fairpark Grill had closed its kitchen as well, the staff was so professional and polite that they reopened the kitchen and cooked dinner for us. The service was beyond exceptional! Stacy, whom we assume was the manager, catered to our every need and we couldn’t have asked for better. The food came out in prompt time, the appetizers were delicious, and the entrees really hit the spot! Hands down, the best service we’ve ever received. Thank you Stacy and Fairpark Grill for not letting my wife’s dinner on her birthday be a Big Mac.

Stopped in for lunch; had wonderful, nice, extremely caring servers! Made us feel very welcome; steak skewers cooked exactly like I ordered and crab cake sandwich was awesome! Then to top it off, we tried the dessert, the king cake, found the baby in mine and won a $ 25 gift certificate! Very amazing dine at the Fairpark Grill! Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience!

I’m back in town after ten months, I just had to eat dinner here again. This time Jill was my server, bright, cheerful, and friendly. Honestly, I’m not impressed with many places or there staff. They have this side of the business down. Now for the meal. I started off with chili for my appetizer. Yep really tasty, not to spicy. Dinner was the salmon with rice pilaf, Cesar salad and a side of asparagus. The asparagus was firm and tasty, the salad was served on a cold plate and the dressing was not over powering. The salmon was cooked and still firm. Over all this place has not lost there attention to detail. It’s refreshing in this day and age to find a restaurant that gets it right more then once. I’ll be back next week with friends.

Nice ambiance for a local restaurant, quiet, great servers that are polite, informative and friendly. For an appetizer, we got the spring rolls, tasty crispy with a great sweet, chili, spicy sauce. Colleague got the shrimp and grits, I had a taste, yum… Cheesy Gouda grits, in a savory tomato broth. I had the salmon which was grilled and glazed in a citrus chili, sweet sauce which was delicious, rice pilaf was delicious and veggies were prepared steamed as I requested. Great service, very nice white table cloth atmosphere!

Had a nice dinner here. Lots of good options on the menu — it really was hard to choose.
We had the nachos for an appetizer, which were very good. For dinner, I had the Bayou grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. The spicy chicken was great — enough spice to count but not enough to overwhelm.

We have been here before when we come to town and it was always excellent. This experience was very different from the past. We were greeted at the door and were told there was a 15 minute wait. Lots of open tables (maybe the full staff weren’t on yet). We decided to eat at bar.
After being in the rest. business and being sensitive to smells, it seems they had just mopped the floor or cleaned something because there was a stale dirty mop/​bucket smell the permeated the rest and the bar in particular. It is a smell of dirty greasy mop or water. Use some bleach and a new mop head and change the water and that smell will go away.
Ordered the Bayou nachos as we always do but this time the nacho chops had a weird smell and taste. Like old grease. They were also very light on toppings. Tiny little pieces of sausage, and two shrimp. We ordered these because we have had them many times before and they were great and plentiful. We also ordered the angus sliders with fries. The burgers were excellent but the fries were cold and whimpy. They are the perfect size and cut fries but the fries either sat too long before we got them or they were cooked in old oil.
Was excited to get to get my Sunday Bloody Mary there because they have a really neat set up for adding your own fixings. It’s a Bloody Mary bar. When I went to the area to make my drink, they were out of several items like the tomato juice and olives. The main items for a great Bloody Mary. However, when I went back to the bar where we were eating the bartender got me both items.
So, here’s my breakdown of points for this visit (past visits were a 5 which is why we came back). 5 stars for service, 2 points for cleanliness, 3 points for food, 1 point for drink.
May try again but with and hour and half drive, there are new places in the area to try first. Good luck!

Couldn’t have found a better place for a business lunch on my first time to Tupelo in years. Food is outstanding, server Robin introduced herself and made me feel very much a valued guest as did the asst. mgr. whose name I’m sorry to say I don’t recall.
This is a very nice but casual place with reasonable prices and high quality. Loved the Ban Mi lunch special.
I could see several TVs at the bar as well so it’s probably a great happy hour spot as well.
The biggest compliment I can give is «I’ll be back!»

We had a fantastic breakfast: crab cakes and chicken and waffles. The atmosphere is great, service is great, and I LOVE the self-​service Bloody Mary bar. Wow! I will definitely be back if I find myself in Tupelo. :)

If eating there two times in one day doesn’t say how I feel, then I don’t know what will! The service was exceptional! The food was perfect! I ate the Low Country Shrimp & Grits for lunch and then the Chicken Piccata for supper. Usually when you have a huge party, everything is chaos. This was not my experience tonight. We had about 40 people and all the meals were delivered in record time! Cannot say enough good things!

Worst shrimp and grits I’ve ever had by far.
1. food came out cold, not even close to room temp
2. shrimp and grits were absolutely tasteless, no salt, pepper, cheese, or seasoning period
3. bacon was all fatty and chewy, no crisp yumminess
4. broth tasted like salt water
5. served with a piece of bread so small and mushy sitting on top of watery sauce. tasted like someone fished it out of the trash.
6. huge onion chunks thrown on top — I guess for some type of flavor…
Quite possibly the most terrible restaurant I’ve ever experienced.

So glad we stopped to have lunch after seeing the statue of Elvis! Everyone was so friendly, all the recommendations were right on point. Mimosas and brunch on the patio, friendly conversation and Elvis music playing in the background. And the food was fantastic! The snickers pie was absolutely perfect after walking around in the heat. Thank you to everyone who helped make our visit memorable!

We had a great lunch. We came from Memphis and met others coming up from Meridian. We tried the spring roll appetizer, southwestern salad, tomato soup, fish tacos and crab cake. Everyone was happy. Service was great. A very nice place.

AMAZING! My 12 year old ordered the chef special of Pan Seared Wolfish. He wanted to meet and thank the chef, because it was so amazing. Even on a busy night, he took the time to come and meet him. By far our favorite place to eat!!!

We stopped in Tupelo on our way to Florida and I would do it again. I thought this restaurant was beautiful. Service was great. We started out with chips and cheese – pretty good. I had the cajan ribeye and it was very good. I sucked down a local craft beer and that was solid too. Everyone in our family liked the food.

I was staying at the Hilton and they steered me here. I was very pleased with dinner. The service was very attentive from a pleasant young man.
I had the cheese sticks, steak salad and a Bloody Mary. A great way to end the workday.
The salad was very good, a little skimpy on the steak but it was cooked perfectly and very tasty.
I will certainly return again on future business trips.

We have reluctantly written it’s place off. We used to look forward to the dinner but rapidly declining service has forced our hand.
The last straw was a meal so bad we did not eat it. The waitress took it away, did not ask why it was not eaten and presented a full bill.
When the manager wandered by, we pointed this out and she had no clue how to respond.
How about removing it from the bill.
So we have a waitress who doesn’t have a grasp of the basics to a manager not cognitizent of service 101.
And Applebee’s level food.

Wide variety on the menu. I chose the filet with a baked potato. The quality of the meat was great for the price however the flavor was very bland. I never use steak sauce on my steak but I was tempted to request some just to add a hint of flavor note.
Drinks all have a 2 oz poor which is nice. Draft beers on happy hour were only 2.50 for a tall beer. Which I felt was a great deal for a local steakhouse.

Ended up here with friends after a trip to Tupelo July 4^th weekend. The whole town was pretty much shut down but we were lucky enough to stumble onto this place. Very nice upscale looking with a nice bar area and a wall full of liquor not to mention the bloody mary bar.
The food was very good and if given the chance we all would go back!
