Hands down best sushi in Tupelo MS. I absolutely love their rice too. I don’t think that there is a better place for quiet Asian food in Mississippi. I always miss Mist when I am away from Tupelo.

The ambiance and menu seemed worthy. However, I ordered the Thai Pad Thai and when it came out, it smelled like a wet dog. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and tried it. This was no pad Thai like I have ever had. It didn’t taste right, and upon further inspection, it was the meat(chicken). It didn’t look like chicken or smell like chicken.

Can you believe there is an Asian fusion restaurant in Tupelo? yes, to Mist, but I would not call it fusion cuisine, they have a choice of Chinese, Thai and Japanese(sushi), but the Flavors are specific to that cuisine, not fusion at all. Great spot, next to the Neon Pig, in a strip mall across from the Marriott Courtyard, easy parking. Décor is nice, Asian red and dark contemporary features. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. Good menu options for sushi with a number of specialty rolls. Chinese menu seemed simple from lo mein, Kum pao, chicken or beef broccoli, seafood dishes, Thai fishes from pad Thai, curries, hot pot. I had the seafood hot pot, delicious red curry, nice and spicy, fresh shrimp, scallops, crab served with fragrant rice. Servings are large, come hungry. I saw they had all you can eat sushi for $ 20, crazy, perhaps next time.

Stopped while traveling through town. Sushi was good. Very big pieces of fish, which is different than a number of sushi places that give you a sliver of fish around a bed of rice. Would go back.

I was impressed with the quality of the sushi here. The fish was very fresh and its always nice to get real crab instead of the imitation stuff. I eat a lot so it can get pricey if you order more than two sushi rolls and a couple beers. They also have some Thai dishes that looked really good. I plan on coming back next time I’m in Tupelo for business.

We were disappointed in the nigiri and sashimi, which was not very fresh. Then the sushi maker stopped by our table and suggested we pair a little daikon radish with each bite of fish to make the fish taste better. It was our guess that most locals come in for Chinese or Thai, so the sushi fish stays lonely most of the time and would be fresher if the inventory were turned more often. It didn’t make us ill, it just wasn’t nearly as good as most we have had, and we do sushi very regularly. Can’t agree with the reviewer(s) who said the décor was good … the upholstery on most of the booths looked like someone had taken a belt sander to it. Hopefully the owner will see fit to plow a little cash back into the business to get that fixed. So the two stars is because of the sushi fish and the décor … but if you’re after chow mein or whatever, this might be a good place.

Unfortunately, this restaurant experience was a bit mixed. Their specialty rolls are very good but their standard rolls are only adequate. The pad Thai was extremely heavy on the fish oil. We were not planning to spend two hours at lunch, so be prepared to spend a leisurely lunch hour(closer to two) there.

Good sushi. Good bentos. Service has always been fair, but a little slow. Decent pricing, I’ve always had table service here — never tried the hibachi.

Love eating here for lunch and dinner. The sushi and Chinese/Japanese/Thai cuisine is very good. I love that you can get a 3 types of food under one roof. They have lunch specials that are great the bento box has a ton of food in it. My only complaint is that the service can be slow when they are busy, but you always get a good product can’t rush quality I guess. I recommend you stop by and try it out.

So much unfulfilled potential… My colleagues and I stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place was nearly empty which is great if you want to be seated early, but was a bit disconcerting since it led the server to ask us 3 times in less than 5 minutes if we were ready to order. As to the food — I ordered the seafood hot pot which was actually pretty tasty. Octopus, shrimp, scallops, fish and krab flake. However, it could have been quite a bit spicier it would have really soared! The décor was a little too well worn. It seemed as if a substantial amount of money had been spent on décor during the initial build but nothing had been spent on upkeep. Overall, Mist proved to be satisfactory but I’m in no rush to come back on my next trip to Tupelo.

Dropped by while on a business trip. The first night we only got a couple rolls, an appetizer and some soup. Our waitress was great and the food was surprisingly very good. The 2nd visit, we came with more people and ordered many more items. Everything was great, rolls are good as well as the entrees.

Sooooo good. Very slow on the service tho. I can understand if the place was packed but there were only 2 other parties there and small ones at that! But the food was great.

Great food, portions and décor. It’s also very fair priced and the staff are always great. We always ask for the same waitress every time we stop by.(Ashley) Never have to wait on her for anything. Not sure how some people think this place is bad… but then again, the same guy said save your money and eat Chinese at the mall, no offense but come on

The food is about a 3 stars in my book, but the décor, service, and the fact that the owner was brave enough to put a fairly trendy Pan-Asian restaurant in a small town deserves another star. I am not sure how well this place will do because even on a Saturday, the restaurant was only partially full. The décor was open and modern with a bold red and black color theme. The bathroom was gorgeous with white and red motif stone tiles and unique red basins. Service was attentive and we didn’t have to ask for water refills. The food was not authentic by any means, but they were at least tasty for the most part. sesame noodles-A nice appetizer or a light entrée for one. The noodles were al dente with a fragrant peanut sesame sauce. It was a little on the sweet side compare to the authentic version. chicken and lettuce package-This was a generous sized appetizer. The minced chicken was too salty by itself, but tasted very good when placed inside the lettuce wraps. Seafood style hot pot-The freshness of the seafood exceeded my expectation. I did not detect any fishiness or ammonia taste from the seafood. The shrimp, calamari, and sea scallops were cooked till they were just done and the vegetables still retained some crispness. There were a few chunks of imitation crab meat, but no fishcakes being used as a cheap filler. Black pepper beef with honey sauce-The only dish I didn’t care for. The breading for the beef was too thick and absorbed way too much sauce. Valentine roll and Spider roll-We only got two rolls to try here and didn’t have a high expectation for them. Fortunately, my expectation was wrong. The spider roll was fine, but the Valentine roll really satisfied my raw fish craving. It had generous amount of raw tuna and raw salmon. Both fish were fresh with a smooth and tender texture. The lemon added a refreshing element to the roll.
