This is a clean, aesthetically-pleasing, and professional salon. I would highly recommend Melissa. She is knowledgeable about current trends, techniques, etc. Moreover, she is a skilled, friendly, and a very talented stylist.

Just moved to tupelo and tried several salons that were ok. Found this gem and was so pleased. My hair felt silky smooth and light. Dana my stylist was great! I felt like I could rely on her opinion and she listened to what I wanted. It helped that her hair looked great too! The place was sooo clean and professional a true salon. My husband and I, at first thought it was a restaurant bc it has mirrored glass on the outside. There’s also a separate area for eyebrow shaping. So much more relaxing and private. I also like that it is a family owned business. I’ve met the owner Jack Phipps, his wife and his son also works there. They’re a family from Tupelo. Everyone was soo friendly and interactive. It really felt homey. Bottom line this is now my go to salon!

Nice little salon. Kinda hidden but worth the drive. It is the only aveda concept salon around and it’s very affordable. I had a wash, cut and style for $ 40. After having my hair damaged at a salon near where I lived I decided to go here because I know that aveda is a great product and their salons usually have well trained talented hair stylists and I wasn’t wrong. My girl advised me not to color and just did a deep conditioner which helped my hair and made me realize she cared more about me being happy and coming back than having spend money that day and getting a color. I’m glad to find honest people who aren’t going to lie to me to make a quick buck. I recommend this place to anyone who lives near tupelo MS.

Phipps Salon and Gallery is quite literally one of the only Aveda Concept Salons around, and it’s by far the best salon I’ve found within 100 miles of Starkville MS. After several hair cut disasters(and one fried highlighting job) in town, I looked up the nearest Aveda salon on the company website and booked an appointment, sight unseen. The salon is located downtown, just off of Main St, and there are usually plenty of empty parking spots along the sidewalk. The atmosphere inside is spacious, modern, clean and comfortable, and of course has the wonderful Aveda aroma to it. I’ve had my hair cut and highlighted by several members of the staff over the years, but only today had these services performed by Amy, who I HIGHLY recommend. While the process seemed to take her just a little longer than some of the others, she did a fantastic job with both the cut and color, and her fee for double-color, full-head foils plus a haircut was only $ 90 — that’s less than half of what I would pay in my hometown of Raleigh, NC for the same services at an Aveda concept salon! It is also a gallery, with unique artwork hanging all over the walls. They also(thankfully, finally) have a website. I just wanted to make sure I Unilocal’d this place before I left town, because I don’t know what I would have done without it during my four-year tenure down here in Mississippi!
