I am amazed at how unorganized this office is run. Billing seems comical in that this office seems to have no clue what or how to bill the insurance company or what procedures are even covered by the insurance companies they accept. Here are my experiences: 1. My first appointment was scheduled with Dr. Hantash but saw the nurse practitioner instead, ok whatever that happens. I was there to address my concerns with acne scarring and options on how to reduce their appearance. I was told to change into a paper robe of sorts and they will check moles… Ummm ok I’m there why not. The nurse and nurse practitioner left the room so I could change but returned mid change, I had my top off(bra and all) and jeans at my knees when they entered without knocking! Grrrrr. 2. I was told there isn’t much that can be done with acne scarring but getting the«active» acne under control. let me point out that my scaring is not bad and do not suffer with multiple breakouts. A pimple here and there. Yes, there are options for light acne scarring it’s called laser and it is supposed to be offered at this office. 3. Decided to go with a chemical peel, made an appointment for a chemical peel but when I show up they have me scheduled for microderm. Not what I wanted GRRRR but I was there and it was covered by my insurance… So I was told. 4. Made an appointment for chemical peel which was also covered by my insurance… So I was told. Had the procedure done and was sent on my way. Didn’t realize until I got home that I had no instructions on after care. Thank goodness for Google. 5. Scheduled another appointment for 2 weeks later, got a call the day before informing that there’s procedures are not covered by my insurance, I was told I don’t owe for the previous visits but going forward I would have to pay $ 155. I thought that’s odd but ok I’ll pay that. 6. I show up for my appointment and was told that they do not have anyone who can preform the procedure. The nurse is currently the only one doing the chemical peel and she isn’t scheduling for them yet. SERIOUSLY?! I was told she could put me on a list for them to call me when they start scheduling… She wrote my name on a yellow post-it and stuck it to the desk next to her. So basically in a matter of hours it went from you can been seen but will have to pay out of pocket to we cannot see you and don’t really know when we will be able to. Terrible terrible terrible! p.s. Tawnya K. who left the 5 star review works in this office.

It is difficult to describe my experience. I am sure the Doctors are competent and fine, but the whole office seems to be off. I made an appt. and it took 7 weeks, I was looked at and a skin sample and blood was taken and 1 stitch put in and I was done. I made appt for 2 weeks later to follow up. The moment I left the office I get a text asking me to confirm my appt. Then a week before my appt. I got a call to remind me. Then the Saturday before I got a text asking to confirm then another. I show up and there is no doctor, just a nurse who I cannot understand her English very well. She tells me that she does not have the results of my test and that I need to use sunblock. They finally produce an allergy report, but no results from my blood test. The nurse tells me that I need one. Even though they drew blood from me before. I left with no instructions, no details, nothing. Now I receive a massive bill from the lab for results that nobody has told me. I then look at what they billed my insurance for my first visit and fainted. It was huge. I have to pay a good portion of it as well. SO thousands were spent by me and my insurance and I am no better informed or have a course of treatment than the day I went in. But i keep getting phone calls to come in for the second apppt??? It is like a circus there. I am no better off or informed from they day I walked in. I even asked the nurse what is the recovery for a small laser surgery and she would not answer. I had to know this because knowing when to return to work. However, the website says 7 days. Why could she not answer? I think the office and staff needs better organization and communication with patients.

Good luck getting ahold of their billing, only between the hours of 7:30 — 8:30 do they return your call. What great customer service haha! Not to mention being billed 22 months after service was preformed. I used to think the Doctor was great but I realized they have been over charging me for years.

I was referred by a family member that has been a patient of Dr. Hantash. I walked into the office, the waiting room has plush velvet couches and modern, relaxing look. The front staff people are courteous and checked me in quickly. Once I was called back to see Dr. Hantash, his MAs were very thorough and friendly. Dr Hantash also addressed all my concerns and I left feeling like he cared and took his time with me. I would and have recommended this office to others!!!

First of all I love Dr Hantash. As far as his office goes NO! They have double billed, lost insurance cards that we have given every time we go in. My daughter had to take tests for ACCUTANE and they lost that too. I have complained and even talked to the office manager that fixed it I hope! I called the other day to make an appointment and their phones had been going out and the girl answering stated she would call me back. Well she never did. I think someone strong needs to take over that office. It’s a MESS!

We have gone to Advanced Skin Institute for years. We always have billing problems with Advanced Skin Institute and we know others that have the same problems. They double bill and and mess up the insurance billing. They need to hire staff that know what they are doing. We will no longer be going to this office.

I have been to this office multiple times at the old location and their new location and every time I pay my copay on the day of the visit and then a few months later I get another bill for the copay and extras I pay that and a few months down the road I get another bill for it again and when I try to show them they just argue I know multiple people that have ran into the same thing including other surgeons and physicians assistants. I will not set foot in that office again and will encourage everybody I can to stay away from there
